WOW, thank you for your time and effort making this video. ALL THE LOVE from the UK..... now, I needs to get that Lotto win. Until then may your buisness grow and may you repurpose lots of lovely military equipment.
I ran the site and logistics at Fort Bragg, NC for the 3 year test of the FMTV. Had some issues to start but we thought the truck was amazing compared to the old fleet that had barely changed in 3-4 decades.
A very informative overview! I'm going to visit your site and see what's available. I would tell you on any thick skinned vehicle with upgraded glass, cover all glass for sun protection while not in operation. The sun is the 2nd enemy of blast and bullet resistant glass. I would also add heat to the list.
Great informative video. Having a microphone clipped to you would be helpful. The footage in the cab, the audio had very low volume, hard to make out what you were saying. Love the trucks!
Great info what are the pros and cons of the 4x4 vs the 6x6? What gas mileage does each type of motor get on average set up with high way gears? Love the videos keep them up very informative and I find there is a lack of Videos on RUclips explaining the differences in detail. And I love the bit about expedition vehicles conversations because I’ve always wanted to build one out of one of these but didn’t know which one would fit my needs.
Great overview. To me seems odd on an armored cab to swing doors backwards. Id thing normal doors would be better as its a shield getting out. Is there a significant weight difference between the steel and aluminum wheels? And performance wise how does aluminum do?
Which truck or military vehicles are the best to be converted into overland expedition vehicles can you do an epsode on this subject based on what you have in stock
Hello. I have a question about the axles. Specifically; are there inter-axle lockers between each axle or lockers to lock the axle shafts on each axle? If not, are lockers available?
All well and good but... is the frame C or box? fuel milage and range? Multi fuel? How well will it do in very cold wet high altitude environments? Replacement parts availability? how good is the 4x4 in comparison with a modified civ jeep? How easy or hard is it to modify/upgrade to fit my needs? Defrost only or is there AC? can it be upgraded to have AC? maintenance schedule? Push bumper w/ winch, rear loading ramps w/ winch? Snow plow? Bed covers both soft and hard? Flatbed? Electrical and electronic upgrades / capacity? These are the things I need to know because I need a vehicle that is a hard to kill milti tool not just a transport.
The AC units you have. Parts, prices, how hard is it to work on for repairs? can it operate without the engine running? How good does it keep the cab cool / hot? PTO, how strong is it? PSI? capacity? Can it operate an excavator arm? How thick is the soft skin body for dent repair? How thick the armor for adding lights, mirrors, other additions?
Lots of information in this video that I haven't seen covered anywhere else or the different configurations for various model years for that matter. Have you considered wearing a mic? Your voice is clear and perfect most times but then it fades to nearly inaudible.
Ever heard of the KISS principal? You got way deep on things. Just needed to know major differences between trucks. 7 minutes on LED lights.... sheesh.
The cab lifts on the 1085A1p2 are a pain in the ass. Lazy operators would never lift their cab during PMCS because they didn't want to let the air pressure build up to use the lift. If that newer style cab lift is not actuated at least monthly it will seize and the rear cylinders will not release the cab.
I'm on a tight budget with the kids and a home renovation, but I'll tell ya what partner.... I'm about to do something big league stupid and buy a pair of em just because
Has anyone noticed: 5 Minutes talking about indicators, an 2-3 about the engines. Maybe I am different but I absolutely to not care about indicators that I can switch in 5 minutes or the orientation of handles. Or the color of the dash. But I do care about the drivetrain: Engine, Transmission, axles, diffs, brakes. And if there are different engines, it would be cool to know that these are from Cat and the tranny Allison and so on. A chart would be cool also as noone on planet can follow 5-10 numbers in a row. Sounds like a lot of knowlege but has no value to the viewer when nonone can remember that.
These trucks were garbage. Not reliable and expensive to maintain. Army General wanted trucks that looked like European NATO countries. He also had a vested interest in the manufacturer.
A detailed video on how to use everything, from the cab tilt to the CTIS system would be outstanding.

Great overview...amazing that you can keep all the model numbers and configurations straight!
Takes time, that's for sure! haha
Thank you. I’ll be in touch with you guys when I’m ready to get one.

I could use that armored cab here in Nashville. Love it.
Great video Joe! We will send people to this video often.
This man is the king of saying the same thing four times in a row. Geeezzus
The company I work for made the plastic fenders for Steward & Stevenson. They were on the trucks until S&S went to an all metal fender.
So glad I found this channel. Thank you. Subed
Thank you!
I wouldn't mind having that 1070 or a 916/915 series!

Good info 👍
Question have your trucks been titled? I was told getting one titled is a long process .
It can be. All of our trucks come with a clean on road use title.
Which version/years come with oem winch? Do they put a heavier duty winch on some of the 6x6?
Ever heard of the KISS principal? You got way deep on things. Just needed to know major differences between trucks. 7 minutes on LED lights.... sheesh.
Very informative, but is there any way you can tell pricing
Larry, all the pricing for all the trucks are listed up on our website.
What do these things sell for once juiced up?

What insurance companies insures these for personal use?
have you guys ever exported one of these to canada?
Yes, we have.
Where are you located and around how much would one of these trucks cost? I would want a dump bad on a truck
What's the average length and width of these vehicles. Need to know if I could fit this without blocking my neighbors driveway
you mentioned the SRW (winch) is 17k pull. I read it's 11k. Can you confirm?

Does it have lockers?
Lockers can be added to all Stewart & Stevenson trucks.

I always thought these rigs were made by Oshkosh.
Oshkosh picked up the FMTV contract in late 2009, A1P2. They currently make the A2.
All this for the same price as a F-150
It’s an American UNIMOG
I was today years old as I just realized that. And I've been around them for a long time.🤦♂️
slow down the camera movement it makes me dizzy.. slow and steady when you pan..
WHERE ARE THE HUMMVEEEES
Stewart stevenson military trucks to dubai
Like watching Blair Witch project movie with that panning back and forth. 🤢

aaahhh
Ffs, STOP FEEDING THE CAMERAMAN COFFEE!
What should be a great watch is hard due to the shot forever moving flat out.
