SCHILTHORNBAHN 20XX - Review of the year 2024

What a year! The Schilthornbahn 20XX is a project ‘not without its challenges’. Challenges such as logistics, limited space, the weather, the interaction of all players and the extreme variety of construction materials were also omnipresent in 2024. Innovations and targeted solutions were required in all areas.
The result of the impressive work is a little more visible at the end of 2024 - those involved are very happy and proud to be part of such a once-in-a-century project.
On Friday 13 December 2024 - what a lucky date for the official inauguration ceremony - the steepest cable car in the world was opened with the section from Stechelberg to Mürren. But there will be no respite, the construction project will enter another round in 2025.
A big THANK YOU to EVERYONE on and off the construction site, to our guests and visitors and, above all, to the locals!
Goodbye 2024 and welcome 2025!
