Disturbed has become a beacon to the world brining awareness to things like addiction and depression. Many of their songs now are meant to bring out emotions. At their concert roughly 4 years ago, with this song they talked about friends and family that they lost to things like addiction and suicide, like Chester from Linkin Park, and Chris Cornell and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. I love Disturbed and have some they appeared, but their old stuff doesn't hold a candle to the current brand they are displaying. I can't hear this song without crying...
This song reminds me of my father who I lost in 2000 a few months before my daughter was born, even though he's gone I've been telling her stories of him during my childhood. I read in an article that the inspiration for this song was actually David sitting watching 'Coco' with his son & it made him think of ones that people have lost so it relates to pretty much everyone.
I understand this. Nov 2021 will be two years since I lost someone I loved, he completed suicide. I struggle with this a lot, but it’s all in the healing. I smile more then I cry now.
Definitely. Especially th elive version where David asks the audience to raise their hands if they have been or know someone affected by depression or addiction
Absolutely beautiful! David Draiman....the man is unbelievable.....not only does he have some of THE best vocals on the planet, but he writes the song melodies AND the lyrics. Talk about talent! Loved your reactions you guys. Thanks Tom.
Great reaction! You had your eyes closed when he hugged the lady that lost the baby!!! The video behind them is all their friends who passed. David talks about the grief he feels from losing Chester and others. The official video is great too for different reasons it’s very Coco-ish with the making of masks representing their loved ones. Disturbed is one of my favorites… for so many reasons.
The first time I heard this song was June of 2020 when my brother died. Not of Covid but because of Covid, he died all alone because we were not allowed to be with him until the last minutes of his life when he didn't even know we were there after 2 weeks all alone other than phone and computer. Makes me cry every time I hear it! It's so beautiful and I love David's voice!
I feel for you, I have a similar story. My grandmother was stuck in a hospital alone and we were not allowed to see her. Eventually, she just gave up and died alone. I still feel the anger that I wasn't able to say goodbye under threat of arrest.
The picture of the onesie was for real for a couple who had either had a stillborn or late miscarriage. The pictures of the band’s early days and the videos of their children were reminders that not all memories are bad.
You got it all. While David was indeed inspired by the movie Coco, he also has dedicated this song and a couple others to lost friends. To quote him from the tour: “I miss Chester. I miss Chris. I miss Scott.” Chester being Chester Bennington from Linkin Park, Chris Cornel of Soundgarden, and Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots. The other song dedicated to them is "A Reason to Fight". As others have pointed out, there are also other artists honored in the photos during the video, and you named most of them.
David Draiman wrote the lyrics after he took his young son to see the movie “Coco”. Absolutely beautiful ballad! Please react to their cover of Stings “If Ever I Lose My Faith In You “.....updated videography with David’s little twist......actually it showcases today’s political shenanigans. Fantastic reaction! 👍🏻😊
I also want this played at my funeral too, l think his training and he also worked at health service. He uses his music and Disturbed to heal people. There is video of him stopping a fight at a concert of theirs and help a young girl there are videos. I also when someone has dementia, mental health and young people this is for all ages. I'm in 60s l enjoy their music too
The song is for all the loss of singers and such. The scene of the the family holding the onsie, David brought them up on stage. They lost their son Dominic.
You are more of man showing your emtions and feelings. I just lost my soul mate and sat in my motorhome for 18 hours with a loaded handgun. My friend with awful PTSD talked me down. Show your emotions. ❤❤
I know how you're feeling I was with my son and daughter in law when my grand daughter was still borne and this song is so special it keeps her in my heart ❤ it is brilliant 👏
Vinnie Paul Abbott was the phenomenal drummer for Pantera and HELLYEAH. Listening to the awesome music of Pantera and HELLYEAH and other great bands who have lost their brethren in metal helps me keep their memories alive.
You looked away when they had video footage of The Rev from Avenged Sevenfold also as they are all artists they were close to. This song gets me every time
Okay, this was awesome! Now you.gotta do the official live video for their song, "A Reason to Fight". It has a VERY important message for people fighting addiction and depression.
Gorgeous song and hearing you say you want this song played at your really connected with me, especially having recently just put the exact same thing on the envelope containing my will!!
He was trained to be a cantor in the Jewish faith. The trainer is very intense. He is so talented. I have read this information on other sites. If you really want to cry then watch the official video.
i suggested this song to my sister when my nephew her son died from his heart giving out...i knew he liked disturbed and she had it played at his funeral
So many people opine or speculate DD had "classical training". I have heard him interviewed and never did he say so. He was on track to be a Cantor but rebelled and got kicked out of his orthodox school and disowned by his grandfather due to the musical path he chose.
this song has helped me through so much, i lost both of my parents a few years ago, ill always hold onto memories of them and you def need to react to a reason to fight
FYI....just heard a reactor mention that you can go to their website, go to this song and there is a link where you can recreate, so to speak, this song with your own photos for funerals/memorial. Mentioning because I had thought of it too. Thank you.
Please note: Your screen may become blurry, but it is not your monitor. I have lost twelve people between family and friends since 2020. I know many of you have as well. It touches that one area in us all that unites us, our humanity. One loss was a friend who I met through a group on the net. I wrote her a holiday greeting and it's gone unanswered. She passed between Christmas and New Year of COVID. Thank you, David and Disturbed for expressing in music what many of us find hard to articulate. "Souls who are not remembered cannot survive." Have yourself a cry (I am at this moment) for those we've lost, and watch over time how the sadness is replaced by the warm touch of wonderful memories.
david draimen was classically trained as a cantor actually l too love his voice the pics be of friends/artists they lost like chris cornell, chester bennington, the paul brothers vinnie and dimebag think l seen lemmy kilmiester and david bowie and david draimen also lost his granma
The whole album, "Evolution" is a great! There are several other very emotional songs, A Reason To Fight" .... " Already Gone" are very emotional songs.
❤️❤️❤️BEAUTIFUL ❤️❤️❤️ i’me not a metalhead at all but I do love the more balladlike songs of metalbands(and everything of Nightwish of course)And yes, it choked me up too😭Great reactionTom and Sarah❤️👋👋👋
You're wrong, they invited people with tickets to submit photos of people who have passed. So those left behind could see them on a big screen. Not a dry eye in the house .😢
When science is done using my corpse and my family has to didpose of my ashes. I in told them to play this song and the Highway Men singing the song the Highwayman while flushing my ashes.
I'm with you dude I want this song to be one of the songs I want to them to play at my funeral I had one in mind but I'm replacing it with this one I wanted dead and gone to be one of them but now I'm replacing it with hold on to memories
Id love to see you react to a reason to fight, you'll probably need tissues, it's an awesome song & one of my favorites 💖🎶🔥💖🎶🔥 David draiman can sing anything, incredible voice/human.In one of his gazillion interviews, David is interrupted by his son,so adorable 💖💖💖 totally agree with you in regards to Dan (guitarist) dunno how he held it together.lotsa 💖💖 from 🇳🇿🇳🇿
Many of the photos are of other band members from groups they have toured with that have died for various reasons and the drummer's brother did commit suicide. You do need to react to another song they perform at every concert that is fighting drug abuse, depression and suicide called "A Reason to Fight" the official video. It is very touching and meaningful. Please react to this one also.
Some of the other people in video that have died was Vinnie Paul and Dave Williams the singer of drowning pool ill have to go back and watch the video again so see who else was in it that you didn't mention
I like this song, but I got another 1 higher on my list in this category. You should def. react to "Avenged Sevenfold - So Far Away", which they made to honour their drummer that I think died of drugs or alcohol.

I'm a 53-year old man who cannot watch the video for this song or even hear the song without crying
I understand this. Nov 2021 will be two years since I lost someone I loved, he completed suicide. I struggle with this a lot, but it’s all in the healing. I smile more then I cry now.
Excellent reaction, if you need another good tear jerker, the live version of A Reason to Fight will def get ya!
an excellent recommendation
Definitely a great recommendation
Definitely. Especially th elive version where David asks the audience to raise their hands if they have been or know someone affected by depression or addiction

It’s also to honor the memory of Bryan Wengren-Mike’s (the drummer) brother. He OD’d in 2016.

I wondered about that. The first time I head the song, I thought it had serious "Coco" vibes. Even the guitar. Makes complete sense.
That sparked it, along with the deaths of Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, and a couple other close friends from the industry.

Love this song my son passed away feburary 2020 makes me think of him ♥

Don tossed out that acoustic solo like it was a corndog at a fair. The man has talent!
I know how you're feeling I was with my son and daughter in law when my grand daughter was still borne and this song is so special it keeps her in my heart ❤ it is brilliant 👏
RIP Chris, Rev, Chester, Scott. Forever in our heart❤

One of my favorites songs ever 🤘🎶🔥🎸🤘🎶🔥🎸
Got to see this tour. The show was amazing
This song was on their Evolution album. The album was all about how people and the band has or can change.
Gorgeous song and hearing you say you want this song played at your really connected with me, especially having recently just put the exact same thing on the envelope containing my will!!
Seeing Dimebag Darrel from Pantera broke heart. Almost forgot. God love him.
“Crawling “ piano live version. That’ll make you cry
He was trained to be a cantor in the Jewish faith. The trainer is very intense. He is so talented. I have read this information on other sites. If you really want to cry then watch the official video.
The music video is extremely touching, yes. But watching those people hold up the little Metallica onsie in this totally broke me.
Yes he was classicaly trained! One of the voice coaches I watch said "classicaly trained in opera"
i suggested this song to my sister when my nephew her son died from his heart giving out...i knew he liked disturbed and she had it played at his funeral
That was a sweet thing to do. I'm sorry sincerely for your loss. My husband of 28 years in 2019
I listen to this song when I need strength.
So many people opine or speculate DD had "classical training". I have heard him interviewed and never did he say so. He was on track to be a Cantor but rebelled and got kicked out of his orthodox school and disowned by his grandfather due to the musical path he chose.
I don't know how anyone can make it through this song without tearing up.. that onesie?? Shyt..
this song has helped me through so much, i lost both of my parents a few years ago, ill always hold onto memories of them and you def need to react to a reason to fight
Beautiful and very honest reaction, guys. Thank you!
Muito boa a reação de vocês! Essa canção toca a alma!

The song was made to pay tribute to the band's friends and family, some living, some dead.
This song was made for all the people who has lost someone over the years.
Kick ass song and video.
This song is sooooo sad every time I hear this song I start crying because it reminds me of my grandma and my old puppy died 😢😢
Please note: Your screen may become blurry, but it is not your monitor. I have lost twelve people between family and friends since 2020. I know many of you have as well. David trained as a Cantor in his youth, then latter with Melissa Cross to perfect his "dirty" grit and growl without hurting his voice.
This would be the song I want played at my funeral
I watched an interview with David he said the song is based on him watching the movie Coco with his little boy
Lots of the pictures you see in the background are off other bands members who have passed away as well
I agree thank u
david draimen was classically trained as a cantor actually l too love his voice the pics be of friends/artists they lost like chris cornell, chester bennington, the paul brothers vinnie and dimebag think l seen lemmy kilmiester and david bowie and david draimen also lost his granma
In the video at the end we saw Rev from Avenged Sevenfold after we saw Chester RIP to everyone who no longer with us in that video they was showing 💔
Lost my dad 3 weeks ago this song got me crying again.
I am incredibly sorry to hear that. I hope you are able to keep those memories and the great moments you both shared together. I couldnt imagine.
Lolz, it was Coco. David said he got the inspiration while watching Coco with his son.
The whole album, "Evolution" is a great! There are several other very emotional songs, A Reason To Fight" .... " Already Gone" are very emotional songs.
And also this my personal favorite i will my grandma I am crying right now I miss you grandma :(😢😢
You will love there song. a reason to fight.

Agree.....the audience reactions are ripping me up! Beautiful song.....it got me for sure....right in the feels!
REALLY recommend A reason to fight (official live version)
please watch the video for a reason to fight by disturbed, such an important message for everyone struggling with depression and addiction.
It's on my funeral song too
react to Disturbed - Another way to die. Old song but the message they try to convey there is really important to this day.
Mike (the drummer) lost his brother to addiction 3 years ago.
You're wrong, they invited people with tickets to submit photos of people who have passed. So those left behind could see them on a big screen. Not a dry eye in the house .😢
Man I knew the song and the video, and should not watch this today, lost my father... a few months back and this brought me to tears!!!
Sorry to hear that. Beautiful song but tough to watch emotionally
@@TomTuffnuts the memories will live in my heart... Thanks!
If you haven't already, check out "The Light" - the lyrics will get you, and the official video, even more so.
That baby grow at 9:40 is too much man
When science is done using my corpse and my family has to didpose of my ashes. I in told them to play this song and the Highway Men singing the song the Highwayman while flushing my ashes.
Already Gone will definitely bring out emotions. I dont think there is a live version.
I'm with you dude I want this song to be one of the songs I want to them to play at my funeral I had one in mind but I'm replacing it with this one I wanted dead and gone to be one of them but now I'm replacing it with hold on to memories
Yeah the onesie bit broke me when I first seen this man. Takes you by surprise. Must say, I think they should redo Darkness from the Believe album.

It is very touching and meaningful. Please react to this one also.
You need to listen to Disturbed, A Reason To Fight. 🤘😎
react to Linkin Park's one more lights clip, the tribute is very beautiful
David was trained as a teenager to be a cantor, So not classically trained per se, but close enough.
Some of the other people in video that have died was Vinnie Paul and Dave Williams the singer of drowning pool ill have to go back and watch the video again so see who else was in it that you didn't mention
The Rev was also in video... very Sad song loved it
And I spotted Chris Cornell.
I like this song, but I got another 1 higher on my list in this category.
You should def. react to "Avenged Sevenfold - So Far Away", which they made to honour their drummer that I think died of drugs or alcohol.
In this kind of reaction videos, it seems that men`s reaction is stronger then women's...
Watch the music video, tear your heart out
As far as I know, Draiman is a trained Jewish cantor...
Yes he lost a lead guitarist and he lost a girlfriend to a heroin overdose
They have lost many that they performed with....
Not a one trick pony...?
