    Donny, what I was going to suggest is when you have an engine fail like this, as soon as you get the cylinder raised a bit, sneak a rag or towel under it to catch any debris that may fall out of the cylinder or ports as you take it the rest of the way off.

    That about checking the crank bearings.....good tip. There are times you will hear someone say they rebuilt the saw.....or whatever and it didn't last no time before it gave out again.
    That's probably cause the bearings were baked too.

    Ouch, I’ve seen this all too much as a certified Stihl tech, the machine leaves brand new and is not even gone from the store for an hour and they come back wondering why their machine won’t pull over. Some folks just don’t need to own gas OPE.

    • @aussiehardwood6196
      @aussiehardwood6196 2 года назад +20

      Your meant to fill it with mix as a part of pre-delivery and explain that they need to use 2T oil at 50:1 in their unit. Citi-boi!! Presume that all 2T customers are amateurs until they convince u otherwise. One of the reasons people pay a premium for Stihl products compared to say online or big box store is that the dealer will offer them the right advice on how to best use their machines. So if a customer returns within an hour with a straight gassed unit someone hasn't done their job properly.

I don't have a large lot but I have 2 dozen rose hedges and 3 fruit trees. Lots of debris that can be easily removed with the power of my blower. Money is a great instructor ... unless you have more of it than brains. The dangers of too many signs (like the 71's song) is also visible. The 50:1 apparently refers to rest breaks between blowing sessions. Nice looking machine though.

    They seem to be made by Yuzhoukee Power Equipment company so you should be able to find the parts from them.

    Funny... 50:1 is hand written on the fuel tank. It looks like my Redmax leaf blower.

  • @berkeleygang1834

    I have one, and while it's a really good quality, it's too hard for me to pull the starter cord. With an engine this big, they should have a compression release, spring assist starter (like Echo E-Z Start), or even just a larger recoil assembly so you have more leverage.
    So I went with a Ryobi 40V electric backpack blower. The power is disappointing in comparison. But then, so is the run time. A tank of fuel would run for quite some time. The 40V Rayobi battery is too hot to recharge after you drain it. But I have no problem starting it!
    I assume Schröder didn't honor the 5 year warranty due to the owner's not using 50:1 2-stroke oil?

    Looks like an Echo clone. Fuel cap, fuel line grommet, recoil paw are definitely Echo. Check out parts lists for an Echo PB-770H. OEM Echo cylinder has a full length bore with closed ports where the aftermarket cylinders are open port. These parts will fit but you will need modify the block with a die grinder to clearance for the full skirt. Cylinder kit Echo part# A130001050 Piston kit part # P021002984. Echo parts are around $300 USD for a $530 USD blower so you might want to look for an aftermarket kit.

    What a shame. I know that owner is kicking himself. Good luck finding the cylinder kit! I hope you get a great price on it. After making the video, you could sell it if the owner doesn't want to pay for the repair. I'd like to have a leaf, twig and debris vacuum bagger. I had an electric one that I liked, but I guess gas would be good as well. That one was all plastic and the fan blades would clog and bind, but the fan cover had a clip to keep it closed, so it wasn't too hard to clear. It could also be used as a blower. Just switch attachments.

    The situation here is that finding parts for this model. Hopefully if you do, you will comment where and what you were able to come up with. It appears that this company has at least three models of leaf blowers.

    I have the same model blower, ran too much oil and ended up seizing it up. I ordered a new piston, rings and cylinder off Amazon. It takes 1e48fp engine parts. When it did run it ran great and had lots of power. I am going to port it out so it can make a bit more power.

    I love it when someone posts" suddenly locked up" but available for sale for $$$ on Marketplace. I saw one earlier this week. The owner KNEW what they had done, but still trying to pawn it off as" Don't know why it won't start". I am done responding to those ads. Total junk and I am done with them.
