This is the best pairing ever in a drama. They are literally perfect in their roles and chemistry was screaming throughout the episodes even when they were just speaking for a few minutes. I don’t usually like the slow burn types of dramas but this one is too good. Everything about this show has exceeded expectations. I just binged 30 episodes in 2 days and Next week can’t come soon enough

This story is obviously gonna have a happy ending. But beware of the tear-jerking moments up ahead. Part 2 is what the story is actually all about. Part 1 was all about character introductions and side characters, their personalities and political stands. Part 2 is where we will witness the overflowing love between the leads where even the fate cannot tear them apart. ML and FL will have the major screen-time in part 2 unlike part 1. Zhao Lu si is on a roll. WRTW, and now LLTG back to back! Yang Yang was probably her best co-star in terms of chemistry. But after LLTG it's probably going to be Wu Lei. These two are oozing chemistry!
For me, Yang Yang and Dilraba have better chemistry in You are my glory, and Leo Wu and Zhao Lu si in the love like the galaxy. The long ballad is a beautiful novel and Dilraba-Leo Wu wonderful!!
Can’t wait for Part 2. I’ve also read the book and really looking forward to the sweet moments and romance development. I just hope that the drama does justice to the happy moments and doesn’t just focus on all the sad parts. I also hope they give the ending a bit more substance. Overall the ending is happy but I really wanted to read about them getting married, having a family and being happy. The ending to the novel was a bit abrupt for me so really really really hoping that I get to see all the amazing sweet and happy moments.
I kind of wish there was more episodes than the amount they listed in part 1 and 2. Hopefully they didn't rush the plot in part 2 to fit in everything since part 1 seem to be introducing characters and setting the story up.
Absolutely captivating🙌🏽 I've watched so many Korean historical dramas but not many Chinese ones and I have to say this one holds my attention for each entire episode. The settings and cinematography is outstanding. The writing is superb without being cliche, the pace of the script is perfection. It must be because its based on a book. Of course the acting and chemistry of the main leads is intoxicating, but the acting of the supporting cast is also just right without being over the top into the politics of the court etc. Yes her bio mother is a trip, but I actually get where she's coming from and can see her love for NN thru it. I give this drama a 10/10 so far. Absolutely deserves more fans and attention internationally💯‼️

There’s rumors on Chinese social media saying the part 2 will be released right after the last episode of part 1 (which will be released on Wednesday). So far Tencent hasn’t announced what drama will be the next when part 1 finishes, which is kinda unusual. I believe that’s a hint.
@@pastaetae4460 no. No waiting. This is the loop hole to the new regulations that china had in regards to dramas that had 100 episodes. The new rule was they only allowed dramas series to have no more than a certain amount 30 I think. So now they call it season 2. But filming is all done at once.
In the novel version, the bite marks are made by ling buyi and shaoshang on each other's arms as part of a proof of love exchange. Long buyi bit shaoshang first and shaoshang retaliated. He wanted it to be a matching scar that will last on their skin. Not sure how it would happen in the film, but it looks like one small and one larger mark so I think they will base it more on the novel version than the mother biting them.

Spoilers: I think a lot are worried about the 5 years gap in which they are separated, that we wont see much of them being sweet to e/o. But that should not be the case. We see that the time he is gone to take his revenge they are mostly together, Niao Niao manages to somehow get involved and saves him multiple times. So i dont think we have to worry screen time wise for when he is going to be exiled and for when he will be back in town to try and reconquer her again then marry, shouldn't take more than 7/8 episodes IMO. All the rest should be them being lovey dovey even in times of danger~

She'll become a great leader and do many great things but he won't be there to accompany her. It just gives that type of vibe. I'll wait till the end to watch it. Sometimes a good drama gives you a happy ending but it gets on your nerves because dead comes to live and all the fuss was meaningless as hell and or may be a light drama gives you a tragic ending out of nowhere and sometimes the ending is just unnecessary bull..... so even though I am interested in this one, I choose to wait.

This is why i love Chinese dramas - who cares about the 40 - 50 - 60 episodes..it captivates you, gives you a good feeling, the costumes..wow.
