I’ve been in that store dozens of times and never realized the restaurant upstairs was so nice. I’ve driven out there several times just to get their deli meats and fry pies. My favorite place in Ohio Amish country. Thanks for the great review and keep up the good work!!!
Bobbi's hat is everything! Takes me back to the late 60s. I love potato salad!! I don't know why I watch these at night, because then I get hungry and look for snacks!
My Mom made potato salad like this…I miss eating potato salad..it is a rare treat for me now since going in Keto diet 18 months ago. Thanks for sharing your adventures…😊
Great video……..we’ve been there many many times, but never tried the cafe…..thanks for the tour! Funny story about the “mashed” potato salad. Several years ago we were visiting our son in NC and had dinner with our daughter in law’s family. As the food was passed around, my husband took a good size spoonful of mashed potato salad, then proceeded to pour gravy over it! He was asked if he always put gravy on potato salad? Well, I thought it was mashed potatoes he laughs !
Love the video! I haven't been down there for a while. Didn't know they added a restaurant? Off tomorrow and sounds like a Harley trip before I leave with empty saddle bags. Yum! (Only half hour drive)
Love your Lansky Bros. shirt. I am from Memphis and Elvis bought all of his clothes there. The Lanskys and the Belz's are wonderful Memphis families. Enjoyed this video!!!
John has several shirts from Lanskys. Everytime we are in Memphis, we stop in their store to see what is new. We appreciate you watching and commenting. 😎😎
I watch you guys go so many places especially in the Gatlinburg area, it's really funny when you come to my area I only live about 45 miles north of Amish country and go there on a frequent basis even tho I know they have a lot of visitors I never really looked at it as that. We used t o go to flea market that burnt down (It is now rebuilt) was there about a month before it caught on fire. Glad you enjoy our local Amish areas. Stay safe Happy holidays to you and family
Maybe someday we will see you in the area. I always vist the flea market that you are talking abou. I remember when in caught on fire so glad they rebuild it.😎😎
Yea it was due to bad storms in area an lighting is what caused it. My son in law just asked me on Saturday if I wanted to go down there an go shopping but we stayed at home we go to Sol 's alot
The Amish and Mennonite definitely put a lot of love and care into their food for sure! Looks so yummy 😋 . Also that is “mashed” potato salad in case you’re wondering.
This whole video was quite a delight to watch, between the restaurant and your reasonably priced sandwiches and salads, shopping in their store, and the custard you bought, just wow! Wish we had a place like that.
My Mom made THE BEST potatoe salad (she would mash the potatoes), and put in just a little bit of celery seed, and chopped onion, and none of us kids have been able to duplicate it...We really miss her potatoe salad, because that was just a given side dish at Easter, along with the ham, and double stuffed deviled eggs.
I enjoyed this! I have never seen Hedge Apples for sale anywhere before. We have them all over here in Central Indiana, but never seen them for sale anywhere. Some claim they will keep spiders out of your house. Everyone here either shares them with friends and neighbors or lets them rot in their yards. LOL I love to go to Amish Stores. We have a small one here and a larger one about 45 minutes away.
Yes we now know what they are for we had never seen them before. We might try them for the spiders. Hope to go back up soon and film more things. Thanks Tawna for the info and commenting 😎😎
