It was a good video, but the thing is, you can’t use personal pronouns(even your name) because a MUN conference is very formal and you will lose your points if you use personal pronouns (like: I, me, you, we,etc.,). U can’t use personal pronouns or names because you are basically representing your country in the conference. But other than that, the video was informative for beginners.
You can use plural pronouns (we, our, etc.) when referring to a country. For example: "our perspective on [discrimination] is that...". Also, in some cases you CAN use personal pronouns, but only in the opening speech where you can say something like "I am honoured to be here today in the [human rights] committee to represent..." or "ways in which I feel we can move forward are..."
Can anyone give a good example for gsl speech . If I'm delegate of China and agenda is socioeconomic and political impressions of a non international armed conflict (NIAC) with special emphasis on Venezuela
very inspiring. Youth Voice should be more powerful and more appreciated. Keep on doing the great work you do and if interested in future global events we are open for any partnerships

Are opening speeches necessary in every committee? Sorry, new delegate here :)
Vijay Kumar no they aren't, you can give opening speeches only if you want to
yes it is it direcrty represents the thought of your country and also the point of view of yoir country
yea, its usually done at the first debate session, afterwards, no more opening speeches is needed.
Me too
Depends from an MUN to another. Some MUNs require opening speeches while others make it an optional choice. My first MUN required an opening speech.
That was pretty quick. Does the introductory speech mean a GSL?
Yes the GSL is the introductory speech.
thanks
plz help me sarah ....

It's an opening speech.
Thanks, but ı dont understand because, I 'm little english.
Helpful, nice intro
nice
Do NOT say your name. The committee doesn’t care about it, the chairs don’t look favorably upon that and you’re simply wasting your time.
i m repesenting Ghana :p
Arent we suppose to say the delegate of russia then I or we?? Sorry new delegate
yes, you're pretty much not allowed to mention yourself as an individual
You should say "The delegation of Russia" or "Russia". Never use personal pronouns like "we", "I", "me", "them".
Are you Bahrian ????
Not looking as a gsl
you cannot use pronouns
