  • June is the month commemorating the police attacks and riots in New York at the Stonewall Inn. But that was 50 years ago… is it still relevant today?
Join us on the Pride March in Faro
In the kitchen I cook up chicken and rice stuffed peppers
We attend the birthday party of our friend João at a favourite restaurant in Moncarapacho.
And the Saints festivals of June conclude for us in Faro - São Pedro
Thank you for joking us this week - and please, if you enjoy our content do like, subscribe and comment!

they're now trying to make July "disability pride month", as someone who's worked and volunteered with those with disabilities it just seems exploitative and sickens me, perhaps it will be easier for charities to make money of course, but the vast majority of society doesn't need a full month of being told "don't be a d*ck to group x" in the 21st century, I think someone's making a tonne of money out of this and that's the reason pride months still exist.
Most of us will agree that it's okay to be gay, or it's okay to be disabled and you should simply be treated on the merit of your character, none of this seems necessary to me, especially with how politicized it all becomes.

@@NiskaMagnusson thanks for your reasoned comment. We wouldn’t want anyone or group exploited.
