I honestly did not expect to see a reaction to a piece from the Final Fantasy 13 soundtrack. This video came at the perfect time because I just started replaying the FFXIII games. Despite the game not being well received by many, it is one of my favorites and has an S-tier soundtrack, in my opinion. My personal favorites are The Promise, Saber's Edge, Blinded by the Light, Lightning's Theme, and The Sunleth Waterscape. The prelude is also quite good. I also have been self-learning the piano and recently started learning to play the Promise from FFXIII.
It seems the biggest gripe people had were they were unable to understand the story. Which is odd to me because I grew up with learning difficulties and trouble understanding a lot of things and I “never” had any issues understanding the story, not one time.
Lots of leit motifs throughout this track, makes it even better checking out the other tracks, blinded by light, or some of the 13-2 themes like new bhodum are bangers
FF13 offers something really different yet still fantasy like. The game itself like story, combat, characters is up to debate but the music truly don't miss.
I'm gonna toss my vote in the echo for Blinded by Light from this series -- most memorable part and that's saying something since you hear it a lot as the main battle theme!
This song in the English playlist of FFXIII's OST is known as "Will to Fight" - I am too familiar with this soundtrack as I have heard this Single track for "22 Hrs" in one gaming session, why ?? Coz the game said - The level - "5th Ark" was the place to make the Pulse L'Cie chosen ones stronger !! lol me 🤣🤣😅 !! Anyways - My favorite tracks in this FFXIII OST is [色のない世界] Dust to Dust, [ヤシャス山] The Yaschas Massif & [スーリヤ湖] Sulyya Springs !! Do listen to it !! Dope Tracks !!

Other songs from this game that are really interesting are the boss themes, specifically Fighting Fate. (Masashi Hamauzu also did the music for Hunter x Hunter, which I know you have reviewed at least the opening for before!)
So the vocalist on this and many of the XIII tracks is named Mina Sakai, and she is very real, haha. The composer, Hamauzu, later formed a group with her named Imeruat.

No one really knows the band named Stereotype, but theres a mathrock style song that is very energetic worth checking out or reacting to called Umifuzz!
You need to react to Final Fantasy VII remake - “Airbuster boss theme”. Trust me - you won’t regret. In this melody you can hear everything: hard motivational pushes, moments of pessimism when you feel upcoming pressure and so on. A rich palette of sounds and emotions Try, please!
My favorite(or one of) aspect of this piece is the use of timpani. I really can't recall any piece that uses timpani in this atmospheric and subtle way. Its just so far removed from the traditional way that instrument gets pigeon holed in 'epic' moments.

FF13 prelude gets crapped on by the "fanbase" (for being different to the classic prelude) but I think its an awesome epic piece of music
