I own a WA76 and a Cali 76. I feel like this pedal is the perfect “in between” where it can be a full-on 76-op compressor which I can use as outboard gear for really cheap. Hell yeah!
So after 40 years or so I decided to get a Helix and be happy. It’s great but matching up the best pedals you can get is really the best. Watching these pedal videos makes me want to go back to pedals so, guess what, I’ve got both! But I still favor the Helix because it’s handy. Oh yeah, my favorite OD tone when recording? A Sennheiser in front of my old tube Champ with an attenuator. Now that is heaven in a bottle. A 6v6 bottle that is. BTW, you have no talent? I enjoy watching your videos. Your talent is in your delivery of the German laced, English language!
I have had one now for about a month. I am a "cali76 double stack" user for a few years now. I was considering moving my compressor to to the end of my chain and using it lightly as a studio type compressor rather than the upfront chicken picken setup I have been doing for sometime. This pedal (warm 1176) is a great addition and it really lightly hits the sound just the way I was intending. I think it is a fun pedal tool, big and old-school looking with the meter. I say try it out, the price point was way under what I thought it was going to be.
To be very pointy about the dynamic of a guitar straight to an amp, but with a «post limiting » in mind, do you think if that amp is plugged into the Fryette Power Station with the Pedall76 in it’s fx loop(Fryette), would it be more a « post » feeling in the room with a reel cab, and maybe a game changer? If that make sens to you? Thanks for all these pro videos!
Typically the 1176 circuit ain't it for bass drum. Snare? sure. For something slow like bass/kik, you need a slower comp that works in milliseconds (ms) not *micro* seconds (μs) . 1176 crush the initial transient too much.
they could have made that more compact ... try. if I had a loop amp. I might not care, if it was a combo I could Velcro the thing inside of with a gate.... I guess that's why I know about it, because I was thinking of something like that. I don't like compressors before the pre-amp, except for an additional solo boost compressor.
Says I don't how it works..goes on and gives a mini very good in depth explanation of audio engineering...and then says I don't have Talent!!!!WHAT😳🙄😳....NO YOU DO STOP IT!!!🤣

Any preference between those two pedals? Would you share any personal opinion or difference you found? I am struggling between those two.

Which one do you prefer between the two? Is there any difference you would like to highlight?
Love the pedal ....But really love the Bombshell.

What's your opinion about the "Dr pepper Trick"?
Would you look at that, an analog meter.

Full-lown animals at the start *confused*
