- Mini Motorways Part 8 - the most spaghetti city I’ve ever put together comes in clutch. My Manila run has everything - private motorways, spaghetti roads, motorways as bridges, and more.

I've heard some people keep a spare motorway to save emergency situations. If there is anywhere with cars in the garage, you can bring them straight to the problem area
not sure how practical this would be to actually implement, but itd be nice if there was a way to exchange all those extra roads you end up accruing by the end of the run into more useful things in the game. like, you could spend 50 roads to become a new motorway or something. i guess a downside would be that it makes the game easier in the late end, but after all the planning it takes to get there id wager the player deserves it
At the beginning of each week you sacrifice 10 roads for a roundabout or traffic lights and 20 for a motorway, so maybe something like that could be done instead just in the middle of the week
Imagining a budget. Every week, you get 30 monies. Roads cost 1 money, motorways costs 20 monies, rundabouts cost 10 monies, trafic lights cost 5 monies. And to add difficulty, while they can be moved after being purchased, they cannot be sold or removed. Only roads can be sold and removed.
Edit: Bridges/tunnels would cost 5 monies to start and an extra two monies per bridge/tunnel tile.
that would be much too good, with what already is in the game u can make a perfect design and get infinite score, so making roads sellable would just break the game

Exactly, I had a god Rio run, but I only got 2 fucking motorways at 2200 points and I died, I just didn't have enough of them to get my cars where they needed to be.

Challenge idea: everything must be horizontal or vertical. No diagonal roads.
Other challenge idea: Everything MUST be connected together into one large grid.
Than you lose instandly so not really a challange

Didn't even know that was an option. I was just hoping for more of the zoom in/arrow edits to point out where Tyler is talking about. Doesn't help that he sometimes mixes up left and right.
Please I spent so much time hunting for what he's talking about after every cut.
It'd be awesome is Mini Motorways had a districts mode so structures spawned next to their colours, so you don't have so many crossovers. An optional, easier mode basically, because I'd love to just have networks of roads I can hook new neighbourhoods into, it'd be satisfying I think

You probably could've connected the rightmost dark blue houses to the panicked businesses in the top by connecting a road to the top-right dark blue business. There were some unused dark blue houses down at the bottom. Overall great run though!
Don't know if I'm just imagining it, but I feel like the difficulty spiked with this map
So it's even more impressive that he managed to get a score of 7400 on this map.
The difficult does keep spiking per map. I remember Tyler mentioning it .
@@abhinandhari7812 yea but I feel like the difficulty *spiked* especially for this one. Whereas for the other ones, the difficulty jump wasn't as notable(for me anyways)
I feel like it should have based on the map, but I somehow got my highest score by a long shot on Manila.
The difficulty didn't spike, it's just that he got further in the game so it got harder

That's crazy, I thought this map was terrible and I just got so lucky with the layout to get an over 9000 score (9495), but then I saw that you got 7451, so maybe it's a good map.

I think if he had isolated 5 dark blues from the left side for left dark blue, nixed the roundabout, then sent the rest across motorway 4 then he easily could’ve broke 10K
They should add things like dual carriageway to get more cars on one road

It pains me that the yellows could've been fixed so early on and it would've ameliorated so many issues.

you couldve linked the big dark blue neighborhood to highway 4 thats only being used by a small dark blue neighborhood

Can you go infinite when the map stops shrinking and you block all spawns? Or would businesses upgrade nonetheless and you lose
Supposing all houses are used and connected to their businesses, it's more of a technicality than practical strat

All that wasted water, bridges are infinite. Utilize water
When you’re trying to build bridges to go far distances, why not just build the bridge all the way through the river and minimize the roads you use?
I think that for every bridge tile you place, it also uses a road tile, but I’m not sure though.
Edit: yes it does use roads.
Also I think a bridge can only have one connection so you can;t have like just a road over water
