This is a practically a vintage Ryan lesson now. Awesome teaching. I'm questing to play YIELD from start to finish. Wrangling this one into standard tuning seems easy enough.
Ryan Lendt I can play most all of Pearl Jam’s catalog on guitar with a few exceptions. HUGE Pearl Jam fan since 1991 when I was deep into my guitar playing at around 15 and 16 years old. I was so fortunate to see them 2 years ago at Fenway Park. I’ve found like 3 Pearl Jam songs so far, that I’ve been playing wrong for about 25 years. One was Nothingman with the high e detuned I think, and a capo. I always played barre chords. And one of which is MFC - I’ve always played it in standard tuning, so a huge thank you for this. I had no idea it was dropped D. I forget the third one but I’m sure there’s more. I also wouldn’t necessarily say that I’ve been playing them “wrong”, just different. I have a great ear, and 96% of the time I’m correct on how the artist actually plays it. I’m not bragging, I just feel that way about myself. Anyway, I’ve watched a few of your videos now and you’re awesome. You make it fun and quick. I like to watch RUclips to see how differently other people interpret a song for a lesson, and they go on and on as if the person trying to learn this has zero guitar experience at all. You’re right to the point and make it as easy as it should be. Keep rockin out!! I may contact you in the future to post a song or two if I don’t know it, or if I’m stuck on a part, and to see how you’d play it. Not just Pearl Jam, but other artists. Thanks again!!!!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
hehe yes I play nothingman wrong but I like my way better. and I bet stone would too - maybe someday I'll have the chance to show him :P REALLY?? MFC is in drop D?? I didn't remember that! You're one percentage point better than I, I give myself a 95% accuracy rate :) Your requests are always welcome here Tom - cheers and I hope you enjoyed my bullet point response without the bullet points :)
Hey Ryan I'm digging your style bro seriously I've been a fan of Pearl Jam since Mookie Blaylock in Mother Love Bone what a my favorite jams is Pearl Jam it tastes great with tea and crumpets hahaha I need a lesson bro I'm stuck
I've been in a bit of a slump lately where I just haven't been able to find the motivation to do music. Then MFC came up on my shuffle playlist this morning, and now I've been playing it on Greta the Gretsch for hours on end. We should let longer haired Ryan out of the basement soon. Is he alright down there? :)
I'm so jealous of you that you caught wind of them way back to Mookie! Where do you live? I'd be very happy to address Wash, in fact a few others have requested it as well, and now you are on the shoutout list - thank you for the request!
Man, you're the best! Thanks for all the PJ lessons that we don't get anywhere else and your laidback, fun attitude is like cherry on top.
cheers to you DW - thanks for caring about PJ as much as I do :)
It really is the cherry on top

Yield is my favorite album of all time. you're just buttering me up so you can lull me into a sense of peace and beat me twice in a row in golf ;)
