Can't wait to make this, my mom used to make it all the time and I tried your meatball soup recipe and it blew my girlfriend and I away! Thank you, your videos are helping me cook up everything I loved as a kid.
This is a great recipe. Thank you for posting it. I love the addition of carrots....It must lend a sweetness to the sauce. Usually, as I stack up the cabbage packages, I fill in the gaps with sourkraut as that is how I learned to make them. Its cold and damp.....time to make them...maybe for New Years day dinner. Thanks again and happy new year!
Thank you sharing it I grown up eating Russian goods because I’m Mongolian we are brothers that is my parents told us .my mom cooked many times but I don’t remember it how she cooked. Thank you again 😊
Absolutely love your version of it by far my favorite and am making it as am writing this. I am Ukrainian and grew up on golubtsi and this here is amazing!!!
Love stuffed cabbage, wondeful recipe! Sometimes I use smoked paprika and smoked black pepper in the filling. I have the same knife, love cutting herbes and stuff with it! Thank you!
Beautiful recipe! Even as a little kid, I loved this recipe when my mom made it. Always delicious and such a hearty meal. Thanks for sharing your recipe Nasstaja!
@@NastassjaCanCook Dear Nastassja, the cabbage rolls came out delicious thanks to your perfect recipe. I just followed your directions (except for the steaming vessel- I don't have that)... the combination of beef and pork is really awsome. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely recipe.... lots of love 🤗🤗
This is about the 7th video I have watched on making these and I almost pasted by because I keep watching these over and over. 🤷♀️. However I am so glad I did stop to watch yours, the best one yet! Thank you, this I will make. I love how you filmed the cabbage preparation and rice, and how you rolled them 👍
Excellent recipe! Subscribed. When visiting St Petersburg, the little cafes all served this standard fare, along with Beet Salad. I loved the cabbage rolls! This looks very authentic, healthy, and delicious. Thank you so much! fyi - Best to substitute with Non-Fat Greek Yoghurt if Sour Cream is too rich. You also get Probiotics.
Hi, I love the method of adding tomato to the filling and carrots to the sauce! I would like to know how I can finish cooking them in the oven instead of on the stove if possible please.
Thank you. You can bake them in the oven @ 350°f for an hour, just make sure you have plenty of sauce around them. Keep covered with foil, if cooking in a baking pan.
Firstly, I love your videos and look forward to seeing more Russian recipes! Secondly I wanted to ask, how would you store these after cooking? Thanks in advance.
@@NastassjaCanCook Thanks for the quick response! Last question, after they are in the freezer how would you cook them? Boil or saute? And do you have to thaw them first?
You can actually find these in a lot of restaurants in Pennsylvania, which makes sense due to the fact that most people in Pennsylvania are of German origin, and a lot of the rest are Polish or other Slavic (mainly Slovak but also Czech & Russian). Like Pennsylvania is probably one of the few places outside of eastern Europe where you can get Haluski & Pierogi.... Been looking for some good Golabki recipes for for a while, though. :)
Ja loeblioe cabbage rolls wetter they are middel eastern, eastern europe or south east europe or Russia... Got to make them soon again...Thank you Nasstasja. Kind regards from The Netherlands. Oh I subscribed jus now I found you.
Спасибо, Наташа за прекрасный рецепт! У русских такой замечательный способ приготовления говяжьего фарша, не так ли? (I hope that's right, I used Google Translate)
I've been looking for some way to make the filling taste better than plain meat, rice, salt and pepper. Dill does not anything for me. I've tried a little cumin and cinnamon - that seems to do it for me, but next time I will increase them.
Hello natasha are you coming up with more recipes...right now they have the sautéed pans at Costco it’s like four different sizes for 340dollars..tell me if is a good deal...Lucy...thank you
hi Nastassja ! great recipe, I love it without having already tested. It will be on sunday. BUT ! Never ever let Italians see this recipe ! You wrote 'al dente' for rice. In their eyes this is unacceptable, a kind of sin, cause 'al dente' belongs to pasta only like brightness belongs to the sun :-) 'Al dente' is the damn small white (flour) shimmering core within e.g. Spaghetti. As big as a pin's peak. But I know what you mean and for me it's ok. But Italians are different to Germans . . . Viel Glück, meine Liebe !

How many mins do you boil the cabbage for? Mine is coming out too hard or too soft….
I’d like to do mine in a Dutch oven, is that similar to what you used?
