Lots of people use this combo but no one uses it as effectively as the reaper. Looking forward to his rematch against Izzy! I think it will be a very different fight. Subscribe for more content.
Problem is, this won't land on Izzy due to his height and reach. Rob needs to stop trying to trade with Izzy. He needs to capitalize on Izzy's lean back and make it an MMA fight. I am not an Izzy fanboy, just a fight fan. Concede the striking, height and reach advantage and look at other ways to win.
@@sharkparty1027 Izzy is a weird fight, the lankiness helps with avoiding bad trades, sprawling out of td and zoning. Dighters would need to be a physically much stronger than him ie when he fought yan who could hold him down and romero (who is practically a physique god) where nothing happened all fight (god knows why).
neck surgery unreal chin until the day it just breaks on a light jab , doc told him this long ago dude literally is playing with dynamite everytime he goes in there
I’m here because some casual called the Leon setup kick a “Chito Vera” technique lol….I had to share this video to that new little fan. Robert been doing this for years successfully.
They are actually different combos. Robert's are real 1-2 and a high kick with the right leg, while Leon's 1-2 are faints and the high kick is with the left leg (he uses the 2 to make Kamaru react and then the faint of a jab to block Kamaru's vision and to be more stable)
@@letmegetuhhh3959it's not. Whittaker: 1-2 ducking roundhouse. Leon: 1- roundhouse. (This is the Usman fight) Leon uses his left kick a in a lot of combos but doesn't throw a ducking roundhouse after a straight. Maybe I'm very wrong though, only seen his fights since Usman 1 but dunno if theirs much tape before the Silva fight.
@@alrightgeeze Whittaker does both. He does the duck more since it's mostly ortho matchups but when guys go southpaw he throws the regular 1-2 high as well.
@@letmegetuhhh3959 that's fair enough but (again not trying to be a asshole) your comment kinda means you agree they're not the same kick. Again probably not getting you.
The other thing he does now that cut off against Gastelum is he punches off the head kick if its there. If he does the 1-2-headkick and the range/angle is right, he will then close it with a left hook, which makes sense for southpaw guys who will have both their hands blocking the head kick and bracing to take it.
Yup, he's a really crafty striker when he's comfortable. He just needs to find a good middle ground between overextending rob and overly patient rob. I thought the gastelum fight was his closest to that middle ground. ruclips.net/video/rgoLhe9VUwc/видео.html

Blowski good wit it to but to the body
Yoel is unfair. He ate one of the hardest head kicks I’ve ever seen and treated it like a gust of wind.
He's such a wild athlete lol.
His neck is fused, man can eat shots like those all day
neck surgery
unreal chin until the day it just breaks on a light jab , doc told him this long ago dude literally is playing with dynamite everytime he goes in there
Corner yells "Highkick1-2" Instantly throws it. 0:32
And Romero ate it like a sandwich
he times it so well. All his opponents expect him to do it and he still lands it almost every fight
Then you got Izzy who hasn't been hit with it once in over 30 minutes. Levels.
@@TheGuyCalledX He actually did land one on Izzy in the first fight
@@TheGuyCalledX Well, he is way taller than other opponents. Harder to headkick

Yo that Dave Chappelle insert gave me a laugh 😂😂😂
Fun fact if anyone is unaware that kick actually broke Cannoniers arm when he tried blocking it
Damn… that combo is something else.
Not really. Its just a standard kickboxing combination
Haha had to search for this after watching Leon use the same set up for his kick against Usman!
Yea, I noticed that as well. Set it up perfectly
Same here! What a finish!

You can also see the same setup as that Wonderboy debut knockout
But Wonderboy make it looks really damn smooth
0:47, so fucking satisfying.
0:30 - bro this dude juiced to the gills looking like ufc 12 vitor belfort

Whittaker is sooooo good , I really want to see him as champ again
I fear not the man who has trained 1000 kicks, I fear the man who has trained one kick 1000 times. -Bruce Lee
But how would he feel about the man who trained 2 punches and 1 kick 3,000 times each?
I'm interested if you could show the similarities / differences with the Wonderboy one two head kick combination

Yoel Romero took that kick like its nothing
Why is Poirier at the end of the video
Anyone know the song name at the end? I always hear it but i never heard the name before.
I want to learn this combo and add it to my arsenal
Leon Edwards saw dis.
Yoel's head is fused to his traps... thats why nothing happened lol
Nate Diaz has got the 1, 2 down. He just needs that follow up head kick. 😂
All respect to Nate but he'll mess around and fall over trying to do this shit 😂

Yeah, it would be hilarious to watch though. 🤣
Wtf Romero 😂😂😂😂
Most people would have been unconscious if that landed
