I've got a kioti dk40se HST. Pto is right around 32hp give or take. I'd like as big of a chipper as possible even though I'll likely be chipping 5 inch or less most times. What would be the reason for me not to buy the 8" as opposed to the 6"?
Hi Sandy, This video shows Josh’s tractor - Kubota L3940. 31.5 HP at the PTO Your tractor is very similar to the specs of Josh’s and I would recommend the WC88.You have the horsepower to run it and the bigger infeed chute opening is nicer for feeding brush in. You could expect to chip very similarly to what the video portrayed. It sounds like you will be chipping smaller material for the most part. The WC88 will throw the chips further due to the increased flywheel speed and has some of the nice features - flywheel locking pin for changing blades and chainsaw holder.
Hi Johnny, You could run the WC68 or WC88, but it depends on what diameter of material you are wanting to chip. You will be able to chip larger diameter material with the WC68 due to it being direct drive. If you are generally chipping smaller diameter material (4” or less) you should be able to run the WC88 at full infeed speed. Larger material could be chipped, but the infeed speed would have to be slowed down.
That's a really nice chipper. Wow.
Can't wait for ours to arrive!!
Excellent tutorial and a nice chipper to be sure.

Mind if I ask what quick hitch that is? Might purchase that at the same time as the WC88.
Hi Kurt, CAT 1, 29" 3pt Quick Hitch, www.brabereq.com/cat-1-29-3pt-quick-hitch-qh1g
Real good video on your wood chipper thank you.
Why not a side load, rear discharge? I would tow a trailer to the woods and want it to discharge directly to the wagon.
great explanation on assembly.
What is you HP rates from. The EngineHP or PtoHP???
The PTO HP.
love to have it
I have a kioti DK35SE 38 hp 29.5 at the pto can it run a WC88
