i was searching everything and everything was the same. your video solved this freacking problem. i updated to the latest version and know the windows update works normally! even the microsoft store wasnt working but now it works! thanks you so much for this amazing video!!! 😀😀
Thank you for posting your video. Downloading and running the Win 10 Update Assistant resolved my update issue!! I did find that it renamed my original "Windows" folder to "Windows.old" so deleting the old Windows folder will recoup ~24 GB of space back on my hard drive but will run for few days before deleting. So if you are tight on space this deletion may help. I subscribed to your channel Kapril and wanted to say BRAVO on your solution! Thanks Again...
Thank you. The last solution (install latest version of Windows) finally worked. All other advice can probably be skipped. Others have parts of what's in this video, and those parts didn't work in my case at least. I'm a lifelong software developer (now retired) but Microsoft's weirdnesses are hard to fathom.
Sorry, but Step 3 didn't work for me. I think I'll have to reinstall the whole operating system again (win10 x64). I already had more than one from both the folders that you rename. Is that because I had tried before to use the troubleshooter ? My system made an automatic repair using an older restore point and the desktop and most of the software on it reappeared working correctly. But the red message in Windows Update remains. Now I may have even less patches installed on my system. Thanks anyway.
Step 3 worked for me. I’ve tried everything probably watched 10 videos and nothing worked. Nobody showed the windows 10 iso which ended up working for me. I was way out of date was running Version 1909. Thank you sir your a life saver
So I am at about 70% of the 21H2 download now. Fingers-crossed it all works. Me too at 1909. Been driving me bonkers for months if not years. If it all works, I'm coming back to subscribe. At least I've learned about the iso download info.
Can you say please in your last step after clicking update now..step 1 is downloading..is downloading will over in network or i can download it without network!!!!
@@KapilAryaMVP actually bro there was 14 15 files all files have been updated and installed after restart except 1 file which is not updating its showing as downloading 100%.. Is this happening because of that 1 file???
Thanks for this video. Did "Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old" and "Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old" do something permanent to the computer? Like it won't mess up anything in the future will it? I understand the other commands just stopped and restarted programs, but what did these two longer commands do?
when i run the cmd Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old it says access denied even though i ran it as administartor. what do i do?

The manual update was what I needed. Method 3 worked for me. I tried all the other methods before. >.<

^^ These commands won’t affect your system. They are just to clear Windows Update database.
