My mom is a darker skinned Latina and was goth when she was a teenager. She told me that she used to paint her face white. That’s probably that’s one of the scariest things I’ve pictured.

They weren’t that crazy thin, so they didn’t look crazy jarring in this time of huge brows. I’m actually a bit done with everyone trying for IG boxy brows or uber fluffy brows. I feel like we should be going in the direction our brows are naturally (unless we want to do otherwise of course.). Like I’ve seen way to many brows that are like a Monet. Up close you just see brow hairs glued straight up and the strokes of the eyebrow penicil. Not everyone has big fluffy brows. I’ve personally stopped trying to glue my eyebrows sticking straight up to give the illusion of fluff. I’ve got medium brows and I’m ok with that.

I'm goth and I think that it suits you really well. I loved how you kinda made fun of it in a nice and funny way. This style is not for everyone and that's totally okay. The white foundation is primarily used by victorian goths and vampiric goths. Ofc people from other goth streams may also use it if they like, but I'm trying to say that it's not necessary to be goth and no matter your skin colour everyone is welcome in the goth community.

As a goth I am quite pleased with this! Much better than many other videos like this :) The makeup does look more like a standard glam makeup in a dark color scheme but it's not bad by any means. You did quite a good job with the outfit, I actually really liked it! And most of all I appreciate that unlike many other people trying goth looks, you didn't really make fun of it (the rudeness of some people, I swear to god....). Would be fun if your goth friend could give you a proper makeover some time!

I love the eyebrows you did, brows are a big focal point in a lot of goth looks 🖤
A thought about the pale skin element of a lot of goth makeup, the point of it is that it looks sickly or corpse-like, so perhaps a similar effect could be achieved on darker skin by using grey or purple-ish undertones

That dance is Cyber Goth.. You also have sub goth types like "Cyber" "Pastle" "Grunge" "Classic" And "Punk" ect there are so many sub genres of every style...
Tia McBride while there are different styles of goth, pastel, punk, and grunge are not part of them. Punk has been around longer than goth, and you can think of it pretty much as the base for every existing alternative style and music genre. Gothic music was directly influenced by punk, and the genre crosses with another that’s called “post-punk” (after punk) which include bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees and Joy Division. Grunge is also its own thing, with its own sound, influenced by punk/alternative/indie music. Pastel goth has no ties to the gothic subculture. If I were to describe different styles of goth I would say there’s trad goth, romantic, cyber, Victorian etc.
