I wouldn't take the final movie statement too highly because they've said in an interview before Sonic 3 that their momentum with these movies is so high and popular that there is no need for them to stop anytime soon. So I would expect more movies in the future.

I think Movie 4 could be the final movie of the Eggman Saga and either The Shadow Movie or Sonic 5 will start a new saga that deals with Gods and Monsters (Chaos, Black Doom, Mephiles, Etc.)

It's sandwiched between a DC movie and a godzillia one but it should be fine. Sonic was able to tussle with Disney for a few weeks so I'm not worried about if it'll succeed.

I only want rouge and silver on the big screen and after that let the movies have their own story I mean is it important to add more video game based-on movies?

I was kinda predicting a March Release date for Sonic 4 as well! It looks like I was right! But let me tell you this doesn’t end after 4! Remember Jeff said he wanted to expand and make a whole Sonic MCU! So there’s gonna be a lot of films and spinoffs on the way introducing even more characters! And even with the success of Sonic 3 it’s safe to say that these Sonic Movies aren’t gonna slow down any time soon! We finna get a whole MCU! I have a question. At the end of sonic 2 sonic shoots the chaos emeralds in the sky when transforming from super sonic . So how are they in sonic 3 ? Did the master emrald call them ? Also( spoiler for sonic 3) sonic in sonic 3 detransforms from super sonic and falls from space. Shadow still is in his super form. So when he sacrifices (not really) does the master emerald like float in space or fall to Earth . If it does then sonics gonna need to find it in sonic 4.
