You guys are the celebrities in esk8 world. My current board is Ownboard carbon GT with cloud wheels. 3rd board coming from Teamgee h9, Meepo V3. My next board on the list is Onsra direct drive board with 6000 watts motor.
My favorite board (that I own) is the evolve gtr. The all terrain and street wheels option is great. The range is great. Where I live there isn't many stop and charge options, none where I like to ride. So range is a huge factor for me. I also have a exway x1 pro, only hubs option. I love that board too but the roads here are too rough for hubs, gotta be pulleys. I take the exway out only to ride up the street to the store these days. Commute and leisure ride on the evolve. I have ridden boosted, la croix, one wheel and a meepo (not sure which model). La croix is definitely my favorite but too expensive for my wife to get "on board" with.
Hows the exway 1 Pro riding down and up footpath side walk kerb dips. Uneven surfaces on footpaths and roads?? I ride the Evolve GTR Carbon with AT wheels. Love it. Rides on any road and footpath surfaces
@@kiwimon3204 the hub motors make sidewalk cracks rough if you're going fast. Uneven roads with the carbon deck is a little wobbly. The exway x1 pro likes even surfaces and smooth roads. On those its wonderful. But these biggest reason I bought the bamboo gtr is to have a smoother ride. I do ride all terrain mostly. But even the pu wheels are smoother than exway. The hub motors are the real issue.
Nice discussion. I have a Backfire G3 which I love. If I had to improve it, it could be : - Longer deck (maybe 2 or 3 inches) to stay a bit more in the flexible area while cruising at 25km/h. I don't feel very stable with a narrower stance while cruising. I'm 180cm tall. - Larger deck (0.5 inch) to keep the toe of my shoe a bit more on the deck (shoe size 43EUR). Toe on the edge is not comfortable, but also depends on the shoes. Classic street SB shoes are not the best for ESK8 I think, especially the ones with flat/hard soles. - More battery (like the G3 Plus) not because it's not enough (it lasts easily 20km+ and has no sag) but to keep it in the good range of charge that make it last longer. - More wheel options. Maybe bigger and softer wheels that fit the hub motors. Belt drives can answer that but maintenance and discretion are another story ;-) The stock wheels are excellent on flat surfaces but we don't have perfect roads everywhere. - App : to be able to make some tweaks. I think that 3 modes are enough to keep it simple but it should be nice to adjust the top speed and at least the breaking curve. For example in France the top speed is limited to 25km/h so would be nice to set it at top speed in one mode to stay full throttle. Can't wait to see the test of the "Backfire Zealot" and "Boundmotors Bound D1" ! I bet the Zealot will kill the Exway Flex ;-)

Great discussion, guys, thank you. A few things...I was hoping to hear your thoughts on the various types of wheels, especially the new larger cloud wheels for comfort and quiet. 2 issues with Eskate and backpacks. 1st is the weight of the board. It's 20 lbs thats stupid long and straight. And most backpacks carry the weight on the shoulders. The board pulls the bag back and down, So it's just hard to balance and be comfortable without you holding the straps. Boosted backpack did the best by having a cup on the bottom of the bag to help hold the board from bottom and top.
Your perfect deck sounds exactly like the Pool King Chris Strople. 33.5 inches. You just have to drill new truck holes to the front to lengthen the wheel base. Great vids. Keep em coming:)

@Ronnie Sarmiento is it possible to add kick tail to the exway flex? cuz im looking for a board that can go over some concrete barrier (probbably 2-5inch tall), my country alot of these, if not i might just consider a short board with a kick tail.
Also, belts are more comfortable to ride due to the wheels. Hubs have sleeves around the motors and it's not that soft. Also 85mm instead of 96mm. I bought a hub tho
I've been trying to find fixes for fogged up glasses w/ masks (toothepaste and stuff) and my best conclusion is to Pull the glasses a bit from the face to let air in and then put the glasses over the face shield/mask and don't let air escape from the mask. In conclusion, let air flow between your face and glasses & put the glasses over the mask & close the air from escaping from the top of the mask.
Be careful I have a Vestar V2 for just over a year for smooth street riding only. The back truck by the motor snapped clean off at 19 miles an hour and all Vestar had to say was boards out of warranty. All they would do is charge me for full retail for a new truck and motor. Looking at the brake on the truck looks like very cheap flimsy cast steel.

Would love something similar to a trampa that had nothing to do with trampa. Also lighter, Trampa's are so heavy. Twice as heavy as my Chinese mountain board. How do you stuff a 22000mah 12s battery into a very light weight super off road capable board though? I am just waiting for the super light super off road capable board in general. All the "real" AT boards are quite heavy. And that is with an all carbon composite and cnc aluminum build. Come on engineers, do it! However, for me, range is king. Hard to find boards that you can ride until your body is beat with out ever worrying about battery life. No quick charger needed! Kaly and Trampa are kings here. Not even the Lacroix can hang. However, I am getting my first street board and your videos and Daniel's have helped. I just wish you could get a super clean looking board like the x1 pro, with more flex and more range. That to me, seems ideal.
Awesome Vid! Love both of your content a ton!!! Cannot wait to get my Exway Flex indeed so i can have a new board and first time belt drive!!! Ronnie, you should start looking into the Exway Wave its supposed to be a short board that competes and might fit your wants. Its still early days since all of the crazy started but it looks solid so far from the news I was able to see on it! Exway Wave Current News: - Slim Deck even with the Dual - Quick Swap Battery - Belt and Hub based Drive Train Choice - Lights built into the board Not sure on the kicktail curve though from what I have seen
Hi Ronnie and thanks for all the great reviews! Just a quick question : which one you would pick between the Backfire G3 and the Koowheel D3M gen2 ? Thanks bro and ride safe! Best
Hey Ronnie thanks for the video! How do you feel about changing the front wheels on the meepo mini 2 (standard)? I ordered the 265mm front trucks already. I was hoping to put rough stuff 110mm for the front (or something similar) and 100mm pu sleeve (from meepo) for the rear. I want a smoother ride, more balance, and lessen the chance of rocks skidding me to a halt. What do you think?
I'd rather like a Skype call outside the "office". Just ride your own route and compare/discribe what you experience. What I would be riding: a mix between a Onewheel and a Boosted Rev. But very light to carry. Onewheel cause of the short cornering and versatility and the Rev for it's speed and control cause of the steer.
Double king pin is da wae. Unless you ride in a straight line all the time and want to just feel speed. Haven’t had any issues with wobbles myself on them.

I preordered my Flex two days ago, pretty much based completely on your respective opinions & reviews. so thanks, you guys rock. oh, did you see exway announced this morning/ last night their own cloud whees, along with pulleys and belt covers? 105 & 120 mm wheels.... any thoughts? 🙏 WASH YOUR HANDS!!

Depends what you look for, most people go for performance and get the belts, but the Flex hubs are pretty good as well..
hubs: quiet/simple/less maintenance
belts: more torque/wide wheel selection
Also, belts are more comfortable to ride due to the wheels. Hubs have sleeves around the motors and it's not that soft. Also 85mm instead of 96mm. I bought a hub tho

Meepo v3 is my favorite
Awesome Vid! Love both of your content a ton!!! Cannot wait to get my Exway Flex indeed so i can have a new board and first time belt drive!!! Ronnie, you should start looking into the Exway Wave its supposed to be a short board that competes and might fit your wants. Its still early days since all of the crazy started but it looks solid so far from the news I was able to see on it!
Exway Wave Current News:
- Slim Deck even with the Dual
- Quick Swap Battery
- Belt and Hub based Drive Train Choice
- Lights built into the board
Not sure on the kicktail curve though from what I have seen
Hi Ronnie and thanks for all the great reviews! Just a quick question : which one you would pick between the Backfire G3 and the Koowheel D3M gen2 ? Thanks bro and ride safe! Best
Backfire G3 Hands Down.
Don't take a koowheel, fucking shit. Had one for 2 years so I have experience.
Lacroix Nazare / Lonestar, hands down numero uno for street !
For 4k it damn better be, do you own one? Kinda interested in em, would never buy one but they're definitely intriguing
More vids with Daniel pls! :)
Love it! ❤️ staying stoked!
Man, I just ordered an eboard last Friday and the hype is killing me! It just looks so fun!
Is it okay to charge an electric longboard overnight?
*You guys need to do a fusion like on Dragon Ball Z! Become the ultimate ESkater!*
Big fan from the Philippines hoping to get my first eskate soon
A hub motor that can easily swap between street and AT
I'd rather like a Skype call outside the "office". Just ride your own route and compare/discribe what you experience.
What I would be riding: a mix between a Onewheel and a Boosted Rev. But very light to carry.
Onewheel cause of the short cornering and versatility and the Rev for it's speed and control cause of the steer.
Too of my favorite youtubers!! Love the video stay safe bro!!
My two favorite e-skate youtubers in one spot??!! Sup Ronnie!!
Double king pin is da wae. Unless you ride in a straight line all the time and want to just feel speed. Haven’t had any issues with wobbles myself on them.
Make a top speed video on the meepo mini 2 that you never got to hit
Hospitals have enough to deal with right now lul
@@RonnieSarmiento I totally agree with that lol
thanks, Guys, my two favourite esk8 RUclipsrs, together at last.
🙏
WASH YOUR HANDS!!
Did you get yours yet?
Can i buy your old board?
