  • In this adventure, we’re backpacking deep into the wilderness, exploring untouched waters in search of bull trout and cutthroat. The storms were intense, but that didn’t stop us from landing some incredible fish. Join us as we navigate the unknown and experience some of the best fly fishing the backcountry has to offer. This trip was one for the books! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more wild adventures.
You won’t believe the insane dry fly eats we get on this video. We even had a bull trout eat a mouse fly! One of the most insane fly fishing moments of my life… we caught the majority of our fish on streamers. If you’d like to see what streamers I used I’ll be making a best streamers for bull trout video in the future! Also, my favorite flies to fish in the summer for cutthroat trout. We almost got stuck in the rock slide on the way out of the river and had a huge storm push up off.

You know what first caught my attention. You didn't wear all the fishing garb, boots, vest, boxes of fly's, etc, etc, etc. You get the point. You kept it simple. Pants, shirt, fly rod and net. You still caught tons of great trout. You were like young boys out there just having fun and not competing with getting the larger trout. Keep it fun, one fly fisherman to another. Tight lines. Your youth and energy to hike such distances is incredible.

You do a good job of not name dropping places. I fish the same places you have uploaded and have been fishing them for years. They are awesome fisheries, but they already get enough pressure. It could be a slippery slope if word gets out where these places are, especially with people getting very close to name dropping in the comments.
Im not trying to throw shade, youre videos are awesome, just saying it can be a very slippery slope.

I just want to show how cool fly fishing can be; it’s up to you to discover your own favorite places.

We have a decent tailwater trout fishery north of Atlanta, with stocked rainbows and wild browns, and i really want to improve my dry fly skills. I am a very good fly caster, and can induce rises and hits, but i miss too many sets.
I think there are two issues for me.

@@markvanderstelt8999 Not worried about specific spot here (they are bad about it in other vids). It's Bull trout. They are a uniquely idaho thing that don't get pressure (and can't take much) in a state that gets overrun in various rivers. With videos like this, it's a matter of time, just look at the comments. Look at bucknasty browns and the O.
No I'm not posting the coordinates to the places, but they are way easier to find than you think. I easily identified 6 new places this year on his videos alone, many others that I fish already. Google wins in this scenario, these guys think they do (but don't really), and the guys that have been doing this for a while pay the price for a them to get the likes/clicks/etc they think will be a full time thing. Selling out it subtle.

They aren't even willing to say what state their in let alone "selling out for likes"! Lol and the reason there are 90% positive comments is simply because the majority of us aren't here to talk trash or make bs accusations to make ourselves feel better at the end of the day! Most of us are here to watch a great video about fly fishing. U should give it a try
