The lack of blue is very infuriating, but at least the layout is the same. I'm glad they didn't fuck it up because it has always been one of my favorite GBA tracks to play
Coming back here after the recent update with Mario Kart Tour. Can't believe they ruined the uniqueness of Bowser's Castle 3. This one stood out from the rest of the GBA Bowser Castles as you get to drive at the exterior of his castle. Mario Kart Tour just took that away by taking the lazy route and reusing Bowser Castle 1's background, making it blend it with the crowd. I swear, if this stage were to ever return in the Booster Course Pass, or a future Mario Kart game, they better get the details right as the original and Wii.
Ok let me just say this: Mario Kart Tour has amazing tracks and sometimes takes old tracks that are boring and makes them interesting and I don’t really care how this course specifically looks in the mobile game. But if this course comes to the Booster Course Pass and looks like that, then I’ll be kinda disappointed ngl.
You're completely right. I love how Mario Kart Tour drastically improve some of these tracks. Hopefully we get the same layout for the Mario Kart 8 DLC

Yikes, what have they done? I wouldn't mind a reimagined background if it weren't the exact same as Bowser Castle 1's. The whole course has been made tinier and pretty much all of the danger has been sucked out of this one.
Things I noticed in tour: They removed the wall? The extended the bridge? THEY REMOVED THE RAMP!? They added jumps for the broken bridge? Oh and the colours....mabey they made it so it looks like gba 1 and 2?

Because out of the 4 Bowser Castle tracks that were to be featured on GBA, Bowser Castle 3 was the only one that stood out, as you drive at the exterior of his castle. The background was cool and all in it, even if it was just a simple design. Mario Kart Tour however took that uniqueness from the stage away, and instead took lazy route by reusing the Bowser Castle 1 background (Even 2 uses the same background despite having a different background on GBA and DS) Now, the stage looks bland and blends in with the crowd, making long time fans such as myself worry about the future of this course (alongside the others), if it were to ever be rereleased in the Booster Course, or a future Mario Kart game. Plus, if Bowser Castle 4 ever gets rereleased (which it never did to this very day), it will probably suffer the same fate too. Even the GBA back in the day had different backgrounds for all 4 stages, despite 3 of them being an indoor setting. Bowser Castle 1 had the background that you're seeing right now, being the doors (and a throne room added in Tour), 2 had a hallway with Bowser Statues in them. 3, had the exterior background with thunder crowns and pillars in it. And 4 had what seems to be a generator room.
I hate how they completely disregard the unique backgrounds in the GBA Bowser Castle Tracks 😒
It's not the first time it happens, remember when GBA battle course 1 got SNES mario circuit background in mario kart 7?
Love this course. It's great on GBA & then Wii kept that outside stormy asthetic perfectly. Then Tour dumped on it by moving it inside
