The fact that the warrior in the last clip actually made it to level 60 blows my mind. He literally made it through the whole game thinking he needed to spam autoattack for his character to continue taking swings.

@ciprianrobica4496 The warrior looks like he's using a macro to press multiple things. He spams auto attack like an ape but the other buttons cast normally the moment they come up with one press.

That last clip...you know it's classic andies when they're on the brink of death for 5 minutes straight yet not a single defensive ability gets used. The warrior could've saved the paladin by shield walling to give him time to heal himself. The paladin could've bubbled or laid his hands. But nah, they just watched each other die with a suprised pikachu face.

The dude spamming autoattack at 60 while the healer slowly bleeds out to the aura is literally the wildest thing I've ever seen in the 19 years I've been playing this game. Stunned.

$$$ can get you a 60. But, he had macro his /startattack on all his abilities that's why the constant spam. Why was the skill on his bar tho, it's another q.
Wow is a good example of the fragility of life. You can have all these plans, be doing the best you possibly can making zero mistakes and on top of your game, and some noob does some stupid shit and it's ALL over in an instant. No arguing. No appeals. Only death.

Any fucking time he plays smth earlier than Legion, he literally gets 0 mana in like 10 seconds after getting in combat. As a priest. Ive tried teaching him, i really did. The dude just keeps using max lvl spells and dmg ones, and refuses to wand. I just cant play when he is a fucking healer. Edit: im a tank main.

11:55 So many mobs in the game have nasty abilities like thrash, execute, enrage or they can crit and crush for huge damage. I see a lot of healers waiting until players get too low before trying to heal. Many of them don't seem to understand downranking or even know how much their spells are going to heal their target for.
I find this roach behaviour we se in classic hardcore absolutely fascinating. How parties loose their nerves in a situation they could probably survive and scatter, at which point they get run down and killed. It's eerily similar to how wars were fought in real life, because in battle the majority of casualties would often come from soldiers breaking and running and getting cut down in the retreat. Art mimicing reality right here 😆
And mind you, MOST OF THE TIME, if they stood their ground - they'd make it. Poor decision making combined with lack of foresight and combat prowess makes wonders. See tank pulls more than 2 mons? Roach. See tank be less then 80%? Roach. See healer less then 50% mana? Roach. Fascinating. xD
It's why testing and improving ourselves in virtual situations like these is actually quite valuable. Of course, managing pressure in a game does not prepare you for war and other calamities, but it does give you a taste of panic, stress, and how to avoid those through skill, preparation and a group-oriented mindset

WoW tends to mimic life in many ways from a behavioral analysis viewpoint. Data collected from a Debuff that spread like a virus was used as an analog to understand how pandemics happen in the real world.
Yeah, a lot of these dungeon clips remind me a lot of what it must look like when morale shatters and combatants route in a combat situation. It's easy to maintain morale in normal video games because if you die, you just respawn and don't lose much. But when a human's life is on the line, there's an entire psychological element to remaining combat effective.

That warrior legit went brain dead against Rivendare. Just absolutely shut down and botted out.
Mage: "Hey guys im gonna aoe farm while you make your way over here, if you get here early you can share the xp but stay back don't help me because it will pull threat and mess me up."
That would of saved 100 hours or so, very minmax sentence.
The goal was to kite it back past the portal for another nova to make sure me and the priest could both get out, which we would have easily. No one had to die at all. But when I realized the druid was afk in the instance the entire time and if he got aoe combat pulsed he'd die when we exited. I wanted to do everything I could to save him. It's a shame because the only reason that BRD pull is safe / repeatable is because if you RNG some resists, you just run out. Even if the entire group had entered, We could have just all backpedaled out the door. We go again!
But would they have aggroed onto the druid if he's in stealth? I would have assumed not and ran out, but classic mechanics are often not logical@@Chriscx

@@Chriscx So in another comment you said giving a warning would not have helped since the druid was already AFK. Then now you're saying you didn't notice the druid being AFK. So either you didn't give a warning and the druid went afk right before you pulled, or he was afk and you pulled anyways.
I feel like you just fucked up, tried to roach out in the final moments and then afterwards made a video trying to rationalize your total panic.

OMG, that warrior tank at Baron Rivendare. When he saw he is getting close to death he pushed button 1 (Autoattack) harder and faster. That solves it, don't get confused with all other abilities lined up on your action bar. Saw some similar on D4 dev play footage. 😹

tbf the druid roached out first in the first clip and there was nothing he could have done to save the mage that was pulling the entire cave of elites in the second clip
@@Iiorem Thats true. That mage went full panic mode and ran left, pulled a mob, ran right, pulled 2 more mobs, the spun in a circle looking for more. He literally was trying to pull every mob in sight.
What could the rogue even do in the 2nd one? He would have just died too if he tried to help. not a roach

Those hardcore moments are ironically the best wow content.
That warrior at the end made the same mistake as many millions of warriors have made of not being aggressive enough with cooldowns. Also, with a warrior and rogue stuck to the boss, you should never see a Shadow Bolt go off.

That last clip legitimately makes me upset. An awful tank causes a group wipe because he really loved mashing 1. May very well be the worst tank I've ever seen.

a healer that has range increase talents and can outrange aoe. Didn' bubble or LOH. The tank used no defensives.The dps did a good job of stopping adds just both the tank and heal had to be room temp IQ for this to happen.
Fr the healer not outranging the aura is what killed them. The healer acted like he didnt even know he was taking damage. I didn't see him heal themselves once.

That and Baron was pretty close to the middle of the room, although the Pally could have outranged the aura for sure.

11:35 It's almost eerie. You can imagine a similar real life situation where somebody is dying in the streets, but onlookers are paralyzed in their indecision. Just do something, anything. You even have vanish to save yourself at the end, but you didn't even accept that 1% of a risk to help your teammate.
17:30 Bad positioning right from the start. The tank should turn the boss around so the tank is closer to the group, and so he can position the boss even further away from the ranged. I'm not sure the healer can even heal him here without getting in range of the shadow aura.
That second mage made the worst decision imaginable.... farming while people are afk in a group? WTF DUDE!

I don't see how it's a problem that the druid is stealth and afk. Wouldn't the druid not be on the threat table at all, and the mage and priest could both just zone and reset?
I mean to be fair, the priest is the one that fucked up the pull. Like multiple times. He probably should have notified them first which he acknowledges in the original video that he messed up and thought they weren't in the dungeon yet.
AoE farming while the group is afk is not a bad decision. But him trying to save the priest and the afk druid from that situation was the worst decision he could've made. Should have run out the moment he got PWS
Selfish, look at the 3 mages who commented above me and the mental gymnastics they are pulling. It would have been OK if he asked and got confirmations, but otherwise was a bad move that wasted days of time trying to save a minute.

Nah that was me and I definitely wasn't neutral. We immediately tried to recreate it but couldn't figure out what happened. One variable to consider is that I never attacked him and only his pet. I also thought it was thorns at first, but have no idea after testing. Anyways this shit was absolutely hilarious and that guard had it out for me. When that homie told us he had it recorded with shadowplay, I knew this would end up on asmon's stream. What a goofy way to die.

Some people just have a very high social anxiety and are driven by the fear of getting chewed out for griefing afk players. This guy made a mistake and was more driven by social anxiety than any respect for the other players.

sometimes I feel like I play like I have special needs, so I come watch these videos and it makes me feel like a genius
its such a mind fck to even think about joining a group in HC, your life is in some random's hands and you have no idea if your tank is spamming the auto attack button.
If you are ever in the position that priest was in with the mage, shadow the mages movements and follow him around same direction. Keep the mobs together and you live.

It's been a long time, but recall preferring concentration aura for Baron.
A bit of extra mitigation is nice, but the ranged shouldn't really be getting hit by the aura to begin with, and having no knockback on healing (especially when you're getting mobbed by adds) makes life so much easier.

That roach rogue is a griefer. He was the one that initiated the layer hop, he told everyone to accept at the same time. And if you listen to the clip 10:26 when the new mobs spawn he lets out a little held back laugh. Instant stealth and doesn't help. What a rat!
that last clip man so bad the paladin didnt shadow aura he was standing close enough so he took dmg + draw back on his healing, forgot to heal himself, warrior gave up on life before it ended. I dont know man

If your friend is reading this. Chris was gonna roach out right before he died, he left you for dead. He only tried to save you up to that point because of shame. He either knew you were afk and decided to risk it by aoe farming anyways or he didn't feel the need to warn you, probably to try surprise and impress you with his "leet skillz" aoe farming.
@@treali Hey thanks for your comments on our clip! Zedowel and I have actually been trio-ing 3 man instances! you can see our latest on his page "Zedowel". He and I leveled the whole way up together, I've never done an instance without him! Him dying would have destroyed me. I'm not "selfless" I was just trying to keep him and my own interest in the game alive. Remember the HC addon where if one member of the duo died, you both delete? I never quite lost that mentality. WE GOIN AGAIN

That mage should have made sure to tell his group what he was doing ahead of time so they wouldn't do anything stupid. The priest probably thought he was helping, might have thought the mage pulled all that by accident.

Im not a WoW player, but I enjoy the vids. Can someone answer me, the AoE farming mage spoke about dragging the fight out, is this because be was actually incapable of killing all of the mobs? If not, why was he attempting to drag the fight out and not finish it? Am i right in thinking he just pulled too much and needed the support of the AFK guy?
