Can you believe that the Met turned their backs on this magnificent singer after something like 3 performances, yet they insisted that Pav was preferred for Alfredo in the 1980's?????
I don't blame them. It's a hard choice, both Fisichella and Pavarotti had an amazing voice. I think Pavarotti's voice had some unique beauty, as well as his presence... Both are legends.
