The Ham Clock version 4.02 update became available on June 8, 2024. The VOACAP issues and mouse click issues have been resolved. There was an issue related to SOTA/POTA spot updates. So version 4.03 was released on June 9, 2024. I update mine in this video.
I recommend that you watch my video about the version 4.02 update to learn about the new features introduced in version 4.02, including a real-time MUF map, and changes to how we interact with the map to set the DX location, so we can obtain a propagation prediction. My version 4.02 video is at this link: • Ham Clock Version 4.02...
If you are interested in purchasing the HF Clock, here is a link: www.veritiumhfclock.com. I recommend the Raspberry Pi version. The ESP (Wooden) units are slow and have limited functionality.
If you only want the software, it is called Ham Clock. Here is a link that shows how to install it free on a PC: w4cae.com/wait...
There is an inexpensive Inovato Quadra computer bundle that comes with the software installed. As I write this, the bundle only costs $50. It is available from: www.inovato.com
Below is a list of reliable DX cluster hosts I have found:
Note: If you leave the Login field blank, it will use the callsign you entered in the setup menu. If you have more than one instance of Ham Clock running, use your callsign-1, callsign-2, callsign-3, etc., so the clusters don’t block you for logging in too many times with the same callsign.

Visibility of premium content is determined by the level of membership you choose. The higher the membership level, the more content you have access to. VIP members are invited to participate in periodic Zoom meetings.
Most videos are visible to the Patreon team members long before they are released for public viewing. Some videos are never released for public viewing. Yearly S7 (Executive) and S9 (VIP) members have access to the menu optimizations PDFs I’ve written for the FT-891, FT-991A, FTdx5000MP, FTdx101D/MP, FTdx10, and FT-710 AESS. Yearly S7 (Executive) members can receive one menu optimizations PDF while yearly S9 (VIP) members can receive multiple menu optimizations documents, plus my FT8 configuration guide for either the FTdx10 or the FT-710 AESS. Future radios might be added. The documents are copyrighted. They shall not be divulged to anyone else without written permission from Doug McAlexander, callsign N4HNH.
N4HNH Radio has a Web site where you can purchase T-shirts with some of the sayings you might hear in the videos. Some of the more prominent videos are featured there as well as a page geared toward ham radio training. Go to: www.n4hnhradio...

Thanks Doug for your info on the possible cause of ham clock going blank after a short time and needing a reboot. It must be over heating because putting a fan in front of it corrected the shut down problem.

I’m glad that fixed it. It’s still strange to me that mine stays cool without the fan. Admittedly though, all I do is run Ham Clock on my Quadra. I don’t run any of the other programs that came on it.

Hi, thanks for the video. Im sure this has been asked before, but i cant see it. Will this work for me in the United Kingdom? I'm fairly new to the hobby and still learning a lot of things. Also, I have a Raspberry Pi 4 sitting idle, im guessing that would be enough to run it on and hook it to a TV/monitor? Thanks, Tony, 2E0LOY

You can run it anywhere in the world. The beta tester I interact with is in the UK.

Doug, how did you get the DX- Cluster field? I can’t find that in my options using 4.03? Thanks!

I covered that in earlier videos. I think it’s in the first HF Clock video. Possibly the second. And the video descriptions list my favorite cluster nodes. The complete collection of videos are at Patreon.com/N4HNH, in the Radio Wave Propagation collection, on the Collections page. The introduction video is near the bottom. Newer videos are at the top.

Do you have any idea why the clock screen goes blank after a short time and you have to keep unplugging it and rebooting.

Mine doesn’t overheat, but I know that the fan is recommended. You might want to reach out to Inovato just to be sure.

Why isn’t this an APP or standalone program to be run on Windows, macOS, iOS or Android?

You will need to ask the developer about that. My guess is that the software is free because it is created in a royalty-free format. Many hams are cheap. They don’t want to pay for something like Ham Clock, though I think it is a very valuable tool. I think every HF shack should have a Ham Clock. The visual representation of solar activity, and its effect on HF radio wave propagation, makes Ham Clock an extremely useful resource.

Yes, ask the developer. As a developer myself, my guess is that the developer prefers developing on the Linux os and raspberry pi platform and may not want the complexities of supporting multiple platforms. Since it’s “free” software (I think), there is no obligation to make it available on all platforms.
