Best Loveletter for sure. I got completely lost in it and just came out and I’m just in space....wow totally zoned out and into each story and segment, completely sober, that’s what I’m talking about.. thanks everyone at the letters and much love and respect for digging up all that footage from each skater in here..miss you Grosso 😔 🛹🛹🛹🙏🏻🙏🏻🤘🏻
I hung out on st Vincent st my Neighborhood and at the bridge near the lions pool all the bmxers freestyle Skateboarders and street Skateboarders and bmxers hung out there in the early 80s there was launch ramps there and qauter pipes there this all took place in Stratford ontario Canada
This was my scene growing (well more my older brother) I was def in one of those shots of the spectators at Wallos and Grant’s halfpipe...sad to hear of Jeff Grosso’s passing...rip ❤️🙏❤️
Fantastic production what a great tribute to that special time and place, I lived there from 89 to 99, most vehicles i owned were broken into some more than once!
Hey, when you guys gonna do a "Z-products" episode? I loved me some Z-blanks back in the day, and i remember old mag ads for Z-Roller trucks with a rolling grind-bar thing...a curiosity for sure. You guys would do it justice.
The last few videos that came out like Baker 4 & Programing Injection I noticed after landing tricks the surf style really manifests, especially the little imperfections like a tic tac out for Colin over the fence or Figgy's little power slides after landing, Baca after the Curved/Lamps rail he saves it looking like he's almost coming through a full white water pipe. Martinez down the car wash bank is going like Mach 10 right when a surfer drops into a massive wave. I love those moments in skating. 🌊
@@MrBangen2012 Dude, just saw this message and had to re-watch the whole video. Fuck HATERS, KOOK ASSHOLES, LITTLE BITCHES and FOOLS trying some thumb down shit. The letters RULE.
I love this so much. I can see where skateboarding came from. Good "warm chills" passing over me (if that makes any stupid-sense). Thanks Grosso. Skate or die!
Damn. I miss looking forward to a new Love Letter. Guess it's over now. Jeff, you have moved on without the rest of us. We wish you peace, bliss, tuck knees, and stale fish airs. You are and always will be skateboardings biggest fan. You set an amazing example of not taking any of it too seriously and most importantly to get out there and have fun. Remember the old skool and "tuck your fucking knee". ❤ from southern Indiana. ✌
I love how skate history is held and told by the legends that created it and not behind the walls of institution where a pre recording repeats a summarized version of what happened.
Enjoy Grosso vids...makes me want to play with my blocks and toy box again. Archangel with demon still the best graphic ever!!! Few decks made such an impact on me in skating as Grosso with a great shape to boot. Lucero, Blender and Gonz after him. Great insight to foreign skating history. Christian is cool as hell too. I remember going to the movies watching Gleaming. The foundation...respect.
Rad episode, My wife is from Hawaii so we go there often, and the skate scene has such a great vide. I love going there and skating.. Where is that bowl in the north shore looks rad.. Great season Jeff G and crew .
Riding since '84. Hit and run by a Ford escape from behind riding my bicycle 02oct16 at 50mph. 16 staples in my head and b.p.p.v, lower back, hips, bowel problems. I'm still pushing foward and riding
@hobbit lad yo yeah I'm not competing with anybody. Just showing support for another old guy things get tough when your body breaks down bad. Sounds like that guy had it pretty pretty bad and he's hardcore enough to keep going. I think it's awesome.
Best series about sk8 life on the planet,i really have to give Jeff the credit,an O.G. in the industry,if he leaves the show, i'd be willing to bet it flops..
Thanks Jeff I appreciate you bro,I had a friend from gwam in Portland Oregon he was Hawaiian dude he could Ollie the highest out of all the local skaters.
Funny remembering, meeting this 16 year old kid at Del mar skatepark, he has not changed that much, to me he is still that 16 year old, Hey from Scotland, Jeff !
No mention of the Hickam Hanger, the first modern skatepark in Hawaii that opened in 1989 and still going strong 30 years later, home turf to Ren Matthyson and Rob Carlyon among a shitload of others. At least there are a couple of video clips from the early days. That pic of me
I so wish Jeff was still around to do a look at the early 90`s skate scene in South Africa...a time of political and murderous turmoil that a bunch of guys skated through with wreck less abandon!
Rip grosso! This dude grosso indirectly shaped my veiws of skating from 2015-2020 i cried when i heard he died right infront of my mom too, and didnt even meet the dude... that my friends is how poweful skateboarding and its culture can be! instilling the values of skating from the begining, it is important the ideas of emphysis on style, and knowing the importance of not just style but indivduality and comraderie! We gotta keep those values alive so the next generation can be led in i guess a more natural/healthy way i guess things do change for sure for the better but imo if we can keep alive atleast the importance of style and comraderie alive we will be ok! 2k21 and infinity! thats my thoughts for today haha 👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤(;
Mark, you gotta scan all those 80's punk rock prints and share. Those days may only be alive in your shoe boxes. The brain cells have long since died away. :)

Holy shit I can't believe grosso Is gone! You legit taught me so much through these videos and gave me so many laughs. So sad.
Rest easy big man. RIP
Grosso with a smile is all i need:)
So bummed his not here to tell more stories 😔
"so what did you guys do before internet and all that?"
"we used to hang out in a ditch.."
-every skater I know.
Lolz totally! Speaking of that, i really gotta check in on that old ditch spot b4 it starts icing over/snows...
@@johnzig1386 Fire makes everything good, especially pork ribs....
In the town I grew up in there was an area for skating with berms and such called The Ditch. I bet a thousand towns across the US have similar places

You'll be missed Grosso. You ruled so hard.
Damn I'm such a fan of Love Letters, this will make my day. Thanks Jeff, 6 stair
The way the locals ride that mini loop is and having the idea to build it and expect people to be able to do it are both so incredibly rad.
Fantastic production what a great tribute to that special time and place, I lived there from 89 to 99, most vehicles i owned were broken into some more than once!
About friggin time, Pinkie! I love this show, and y'all been sleepin over there! Missed it bad. Thank you!🎃

Rock solid episode. Some love for Johnee Kop.
I love how the land owner tears out their bowls so they just go deeper on his property and build more! Classic!
That was really a fantastic piece.
Thanks Jeff and Thanks Vans for the sweet work.

i saw Johnee Kop skate in person in Detroit with Rocco and Mike V. Kop was so SICK!!!!! that day. Ripper. totally bought his board after that
Only haters thumb down LOVE-letters.
Only kook assholes
I'd like to think it's people trying to thumbs down every video on RUclips as some sort of challenge. No other explanation.
And little bitches
For real
