Go all in, break into tech once, bust your ass, make great relationships, and regardless of what happens, (you crush it, your start-up fails, you get layed off, etc etc.) your connections will bring you to the next opportunity. Go all in.
I started out very positive but that has turned to not so positive. I deal with rejection every day in my sales job and it doesn’t phase me because I know it’s part of the game. But being rejected for a job stings and I really feel like giving up.
I'm graduating this semester and plan on taking the tech sales coursecareer course. Thoughts on starting off at a entry level sales and marketing representative at a roofing company? I know it's not a tech sales job, but I was wondering if the experience alone would be worth it.
Trent doesn’t understand you can apply at your dream company, cold call the manager, cold email the director, get a meeting and a referral and still fail to get hired.
You don’t understand in 6 months you’ll still be fiddling you thumbs trying to write a resume. Look dude some people are meant to lose in this world. Either keep your victim mentality or make a change that will change the trajectory of your life. The bags at Walmart always need bagging.
@@_OUTERHEAVEN So are there other trillion dollar economies besides America? And Are there fully remote high ticket roles out there as well? Dude I make 550k a year pretax working w2 in Tech Sales. I was able to retire my parents, buy real estate and my dream car just because 2 years ago I took a chance on myself. Now if I can as you this. In your mind Which is more risky actually applying for a job which costs nothing and pays you a 100k a year or is more risky to do nothing at all and 6-12 months down the road and you’re still working minimum wage and lost out on hundreds of thousands of dollars you could be making? You don’t have to do this bro, Walmart always needs people to bag things.
A lot of the companies i want to work for aren’t hiring SDRs, i do outreach for the hiring ones but if i do it for these companies not hiring, will they still give me a shot (interview or job offer)? Thanks!😊
hard to break in if they don't have the headcount, only way if to know someone on the inside to advocate for you or go straight to the top level exec leadership to make your case
Hey Trent, I have a video request for you if it sounds interesting. I’m at an SDR job in my college town, and it is the best option with my situation, but I am looking to branch out and get a job with some Fortune 500 company (Adobe, Qualtrics, snowflake, etc) would love your thoughts on how to take current experience from mid range companies and translate it to applying at the big dawg companies! Thanks Trent!

It’s a great starting point, but try to get in touch with some recruiters at tech companies.
