- So there's a few things I've learned from this outing. 1) DSP doesn't understand the concept of momentum. 2) DSP can't see things on his screen that are quickly approaching him. 3) Nothing DSP could do, everything is not his fault. 4) Marathoning DSP playthroughs on no sleep is even more fun. 5) DSP can actually be funny and entertaining if he tries, he just has to not be hand-held to death and has to play difficult games.
Rubber banding, driving, fishtailing, and head on collisions. Unavoidable "pedestrians" and not leveling up properly. Drifting and doing everything but.

It's a symptom of his narcissistic personality. He needs the validation of his jokes being funny but there's nobody else around to laugh at them....so he has to.
When he runs into a stationary object sometimes he just keeps trying to drive through it for 5 seconds. It's like he has a brain delay.

"Racing Line" does not apply to Phil, he uses the "DSP Line" while racing xD.

In retrospect, it's playthroughs like these that make for great "classic DSP" moments. It's not something he can grind for stats like Dark Souls and mow everything down easily, and no amount of stream chat hand-holding can help him--he can only either git gud or get rekt, just like the good ol' days.
Except he can totally grind for better parts and money for better cars. But even if he had a perfect car set up, he'd still fuck up hard.

The funny thing about DSP struggling with drifting is that... Drifting events in Need For Speed has always been the easiest challenge throughout the series.

These types of games are the best for Dave to play, since there's absolutely no way his stream chat can hold his hold throughout the entire game. Sodium levels go through the roof as a result and we love to see it.
So... here's what I get out of this. A good racing game should have: no terrain obstacles, no normal traffic despite being "street" racing, police cars are meant to be scenery and should in no way interact with the player, and opponent vehicles should simply cease to operate after any contact with the player vehicle.
Don't forget, the road should be totally straight so he doesn't have to do any steering
Also after passing them, they should phase out of existence so that DSP can win.
It's really a view into Phil's mind. His idea of challenging is, that he wants the game to, come close to beating him, but never do so. Every situation must have a way he can get out, even after he's dug himself a hole. A game of infinite second chances. Every enemy or opponent halts their killing blow to give him a chance to drive them back, drivers slam on the brakes if they pass him, cop cars after beautifully boxing him into a wall, back off so he can reverse out and keep going, a timer that slows down when he's only got a few seconds left so it, never actually quite runs out. His perfect game would be one which hands you victory every time, but is a little subtle about it so it doesn't openly patronise you.
The real question is, is this really how he thinks games should be, or is it just the mindset he falls into because he hates challenge and is so allergic to criticism. Every mis-step must be explained... on occassion those explainations are reasonable. Ok, dust thrown up by the cars in front, does make it harder to see. Ok, when the cars trying to stop you, stop you, it does make it harder to get to point B in time. But... that's the game challenge, you can mention it sure... but it comes out as such an excuse... you can't blame me... the game clearly made me lose. I swear if he played a computer at chess he'd declare it wasn't his fault he lost... because it's designed to keep him from winning... because it's designed to try and win itself.

This is a guy who spend over 30K for a BMW and didn't know how much the monthly payment cost and maintenance cost if you don't do the work by yourself. I bet you DSP don't even know how to do an oil change for his car that is the most easiest thing to do when it comes to engine maintenance. It's literary requires some Jack stands that can hold the weight of the car along side of the jackstand, The recommended Motor oil/Funnel/Oil filter for the car and a drain catch pan.
Run the car for around 5 minutes to let the fluids inside gets hot and flows better in/out then turn it off after 5 minutes of use to be adequate enough to get the oil out properly, Jack up the car and put the jackstands below that is not going to pierce though any fragile material besides stiff and dense metal, open up the hood and verify you have the correct oil and quantity via the car engine cap and car instructions manual, if it's correct then proceed to go underneath the jacked up car along side with the oil filter and catch pan and verify is the correct oil filter and what kind of mm socket/wrench you need to to drain the oil (Usually it tells you right on the bolt itself), if all of the verification is correct and you have the right tools go ahead and grab the right tools for the oil drain pan bolt and slowly start twisting it off and let the catch pan be a little over the center of the drain pan due to how the flow of the oil will go and how fast it will be seeping out (And very hot too!), wait for about 10 to 15 minutes of the dirty engine oil to drain to the point you can barely see it dripping within some good seconds lengths between oil drip from the drain pan, Once you done slowly (And without dragging) the oil catch pan out of the way and seal it with either a empty jug container once it get's cold enough to not melt the plastic or be too hot to touch for the hot glass (If you have a dedicated catch pan with it's own drainer for easier access then you can wipe all the excess oil off it to not make a huge mess and seal it back up once you're done with it and store it till you can properly dispose of the old engine oil), go back underneath the car and seal the drain pan back up with the same bolt you done before and make sure it's tight enough to the point you can firmly break the tension with some force to it and *NEVER TRY TO OVERTIGHTEN THE BOLT ONCE IT'S BEEN SNUGLLY TIGHT WITH A FEW GOOD AMMOUNT OF FORCE THAT IS FRIM,* check the engine oil filter placement and try to twist it with your hands since it's big enough to be twisted off if you don't have oil on it (If not then there is a special tool that you can buy for oil filters that's around $10 to buy if you can't get it off properly so it's super cheep to buy), once you twist it off verify that it's identical from the old engine filter and if it's the same filter with size and length then you put new motor oil on the seal gasket on the oil filter and put on the new engine oil filter on and firmly tight it around the same way like you did with the drain pan bolt, double check your work to makes sure all of the bolts and parts you taken off are nice and firm with no play at all and once that is all squared away you slide underneath the car and go back to your engine department, double check the instruction manual and quarts of engine oil you have for your car to be the correct amount since you don't want to overflow your engine and seize it up (Going over a little or a bit too much isn't the end of the world, most of the time it will run just fine if you add .2 more or less quarts from the new engine oil, just don't go over or under .5 and you're going to experience some delay from the engine under heavy load or worse), once you get the recommended amount of oil of the car engine it's just basic math of subtracting from the fresh engine oil bottle quarts measurement (If the car engine takes 4.5 quarts of engine oil and you bought a bottle of 5 quarts then you should have about .5 quarts left in the bottle. It doesn't have to be exactly but you want it to be close enough as possible.), once that done start pouring the fresh oil inside the engine with the funnel that you got (If you don't even have a funnel then holy shit that is cheap, 75 cents cheep!) to make pouring into the engine easier for you without too much spilling and losing oil in the process, if everything goes to plan you should about the remaining quarts you have if you did your math and you can close the engine oil seepage with the engine cap that you should have, check everything once again with the engine cap being tight/dip stick is not damage/engine oil filter and pan isn't leaking of any oil at all and if everything is good it's FINNALY time to warp it up! Close your bonnet and use your jack to lift up the car to get the jack stands off the car and SLOWLY lift down the jack itself (Doing it too fast will not only damage the body and components of the car but also yourself how seriously fast if you let it down without any control), put all your tools back and dispose of the old engine oil and filter properly and last check everything that you work on once again to see if anything leaking or off and if everything correct start up your car and let it idle for about 5 minutes to get all that fresh oil inside the engine system and if no warning lights pop up then you're all good to go! *VERY LASTLY* if your car have a built-in maintenance schedule that is apart of the oil change life you want to reset the millage on that category so if something goes wrong with your car that is beyond your control or don't have the knowledge or time to fix something on your car that a mechanic can do they won't poster you with "Looks like you haven't change your oil in a while, can I do the oil change while I work the other parts of the car as well?" which is nice to them to consider it but it cost a bit more money that you already spend that unnecessary to do so. And that's just about it to change your oil and holy shit this took me an hour to type with thinking about how to changing your oil for your car!
But yeah, DSP basically don't know ANYTHING about cars but just to put gas in it and watch it. I bet he will blame the car entirely because "WHAT?! MY ENGINE SEISED UP BECAUSE I DIDN'T CHANGE THE OIL IN MY CAR IN YEARS AND NOW IT'S NEEDS A NEW ENGINE THAT COST NEALY 10K FROM THE DEALERSHIP! YOU SOLD ME A PEICE OF SHIT!" *...Oh wait.*
There is nothing illegal about driving a right-hand-drive vehicle in the US; in fact, many postal carriers in rural areas drive such vehicles so that they do not have to get out of their cars when delivering mail.

I love DSP's "REE DIVERSITY IS STOOPID" stance, anything resembling different from "generic person" is bad, having some recognizable characters isn't for the sake of diversity quotas and SJW bullshit.
Honestly though my favorite part was DSP trying to correct the Spanish with his own (terrible) Spanish, as if he knows ANYTHING about it.
@Felipe M. Nothing about SJWs has become irrelevant. The correct term here is progressive, and this game abuses stereotypes. The writing and lack of quality makes it painfully clear they and the story didn't come from artists and writers with an interesting vision. The game reeks of an attitude to steer away from being too white, male, and bro. It's clearly trying to make a social appeal. It's not bad to take a unique direction, it's bad when you lack creativity, integrity, and let your work suffer because you care more about marketing rather than appealing to, you know, gamers. Accordingly, critics trashed this game.

Of course, I don't really play driving games besides Driver: San Francisco, so I can't determine if this game's driving is good just based on Phil's terrible driving skills.

Well for one thing it is compltely legal I know plenty of mail carriers who have their personal vehicles with the steering wheel on right. And for TWO. Even if it were illegal this is a game about stealing cars, street racing, and running from the cops. So that's a big immersion breaker?
