Trini Inspiration With Stephon Jaikaran

Indo-entertainment heartthrob, Stephon Jaikaran, is one of the fortunate citizens of T&T who was able to return home in the midst of the global pandemic & national lockdown.
However, his journey was by no means easy as it was fraught with bureaucracy, fragility, miscommunication & no communication, uncertainty and expense. Yet, none of these hurt as much as the attitude with which the returning national was greeted with by his fellow citizens, upon his return and subsequent mandatory quarantine.
Stephon Jaikaran, thankfully, loves his home (Trinidad & Tobago) and is more than willing to forget his ordeals and move on. However, this story is shared today in the hope that it may inspire change in our systems, attitudes and approaches to returning citizens so that no other Trinbagonian should ever be made to feel this way.
