  • In this video about I talk about my version of a Solar System for the motorhome.
This isnt the right way to do it for everyone but it really suits me.

Looks a good job. Would have been good to see you drilling into the area where the ecoflow will be stored and through the roof. I’m going to use a similar setup but I plan on connecting my MH electric cord to the ecoflow instead of that last part of the vid. 👍

A safety suggestion: get a spare 16A mains connector. Don’t fit any cable but fit a tag warning to check the 13A to 13 A plug isn’t in place. Fit it when you are using the link. Store the two together. It isn’t ‘fool proof’ but it may save an expensive mistake.

Looks like you could add one or two panels on the roof. I live in Bellevue, WA and you live even farther north. My solar installation recommended four panels for the trailer, since I had the room, I doubled that. I’m glad I did because I finally installed four LiFePO batteries. The integration of solar into the trailer electrical system was the most expensive cost labor-wise. You did good.

Thanks buddy. The ecoflow will only take 200W so more panels wouldnt help much. Also ITS ALWAYS SUNNY IN UK! lol

Hi Mike... if u check out Andy Kirby's review of the grid tie inverter, it comes with a "powered plug" in the box lol! LAS

I have a similar Power Pack...
If you want to charge whilst driving on very overcast days or at night.
    Get a 12V to 24V DC-DC 10A Converter(Amazon), wire to vehicle battery via a fuse/breaker
Then wire the 24V output with a suitable connector to go into your ecoflow.
It is much quicker than using 12V input for charging

The Ecoflow actually comes with a cigar lighter charging cable for this exact purpose

      @@MikeM0XMX Yes...
But that is only 12V, so @ 120W
      With the 12V -24V DC-DC. charge at twice the rate ~ 240W

Interesting but I think @240W it will trip the Ecoflow breaker which is 200W

It will trip if you go ver the 25V Solar Max
It will just take the current it needs

What voltage is on the panels?! My Ecoflow River Max not working on this panels, not charging on 21V!

I take it that when you plug in the eco flex to the electric system it will top up the leisure batteries if needed. Win win

      @MikeM0XMX  3 месяца назад

It could however that would drain the ecoflow quicker. I don't do that (I turn the van charger off) as I have a separate panel which charges the van leisure battery

More concerned about the 2.5 cable from your solar panels????!!!!😮
