Very nice harvest! I’m jealous now because ours have pretty much died out. I’ve thrown so many maters to the chickens they’ve been giving me the stink eye 😊

I’m sure your chickies appreciated the treats! Tomato season is just ramping up. First batch of sauce made this week!

I sliced a carbon tomato and shared it with Cory for dinner tonight. I took a handful of yellow grape tomatoes with my lunch today.

I have a question about your chickens. I’m new to having land and my own flock. I have two roosters and 10 hens. Most of my hens have their backs look like yours with missing feathers. Do you think it’s better to just have one rooster? I’m thinking of giving the other to my neighbor in hopes that the hens get their feathers back. I’ve tried the saddle aprons but they keep pulling them off.

@@jjhomestead I’ve heard that you should have 1 rooster to 15 hens. I have had too many Roos for over a year and my girls look terrible. Slowly we are working down to just having one. I’d recommend you only have one roo for 10 hens.
