- I was testing this snow team I made around an eiscue because I found a shiny one in-game and decided to build around a supportive eiscue for fun, paired with garganacl's salt cure and more memes on the Series 1 VGC 2023 ladder on Pokémon Showdown. I ran into this crybaby while testing who got pretty salty so I figured I had to make a vid around this team,so hopefully you all enjoyed, like and subscribe if you haven't already

In fairness, I was expecting Belly Drum but that was probably too easy/makes too much sense.
Imagine getting mad in a Pokemon battle because you didn't expect someone's strategy

Ok, I’m glad I’m not crazy. My thinking is if you want to know your opponent’s move sets, play single player and use a walkthrough.
Logic: If your strategy is unexpected than it's bad
@@Ginormous76 the game is built around that principle, simply a salty player looking for braindead excuses as to why they lost. It's equivalent to "you only beat me in poker because I didn't know your hand." Absolute coping because their braindead strat lost to something unique.

The ice buff this gen is definitely cool to help make stuff like this viable. Very fun strategy as always.

@@ayembic7933 Yeah, it basically feels like Sand died to buff every other weather since only Lycanroc is left and since Gargancl couldn't care much less about Sandstorm.

Very surprised how technical the info on EVs was, and on the life orb HP number, that's straight up something I'd have never realized on my own
There's more to the HP stat then just pumping points into it.
Odd numbers are always better for rounding this will apply to all damage over time.
It will also let berries active at half hp after using belly drum.
Also if the Pokemon has an HP stat of at least 100 you can have a total over 401 to ensure Blissey/Chansey don't break your sub with seismic toss. This only applies in Smogon singles when playing at level 100.
There's a few more things but that's probably a big enough info dump lol.

To add to what was said above me a bit, generally the *only* time you actually want an even HP stat--at least in Singles--if you're going to bother touching HP at all is if you're using a (Sitrus) Berry mon. This is especially true with the few Belly Drum mons that exist, especially Slurpuff since not activating Unburden means your poor little cupcake dog probably gets exploded the next turn.
Otherwise you generally want odd HP whenever possible as already said since that rounds down hazard damage too, which is still important for every non-Magic Guard mon even with Heavy-Duty Boots existing since Knock Off unfortunately still exists in its overbuffed form. (Except for Weavile and for Bisharp, ha.)

I don't really get team sheets for anything besides knowing tera. To me most of the skill of comp comes from anticipating and playing around potential sets. If your opponent revealed Mon 1 was running this set, then Mon 2 is more likely to run that set, etc.
It's to prevent scouting in real life tournaments, and smogon has to implement that on showdown because it's an official feature for the official format (VGC).
The way I wish you followed the "Fire... Water..." with Air on the tailwind lmao
Salt Cure is a cool move, and to pair it with Soak is big brain. Not going to win you a lot of matches, but looks fun to use. I want to use a tera ghost Garganacl with Salt Cure and Curse. Probably trash, but that's part of the fun of pokemon(IMO). Great video, very entertaining like always!
Side note: My friend walked by just as the "my dick fell off!" played lol. Had fun explaining that.

Cetitan has become my new favorite but before that was Alolan Ninetales for the weather control and Aura veil

You say there's a gimmick here and there, but I have a feeling this is the most synergistic team you have built so far.
Rotom, Garganacl and Meowscarada seem like nice glue, while the rest of the team can just go bonkers.
I might breed this exact team in-game, so I have anything remotely viable AND fun to use on the ladder.

eiscue’s existence / hail itself is the gimmick lol, otherwise, agreed this team seems solid
I love how hail/snow is so bad simply because only Arctozolt and Cetitan can use it nicely with Alolan Ninetales that Eiscue appearing means the team is a gimmick.

eiscue is one of my favorite gen 8 pokemon. a lot of people see belly drum and think "oh there it is" but in singles it's actually a lot more interesting with weather ball on sun, having ice and fire coverage that hit gen 8 OU staples surprisingly hard. love to see its support capabilities on display as well, especially with the snow buff

I've been trying to come up with an ice-centered Garganacl team for ages now, and my prayers have been answered in a hilariously unexpected way. I love all the fun synergies and gimmicks you came up with for this team, and I'm especially impressed by how clever those speed EV placements are. Thanks for the fun battles and breakdown! I can't wait to try this team out against my friends!

I love these ideas! I definitely forgot Eiscue got Soak. I'm cooking a new team that just ISN'T working. Olive thing has harvest. Basically sunny day and teatime from ally gets starf berry boost. Ideally you'd just keep getting random stats but the only good thing to come out of it. Was figuring out Eject pack pepper thing to get a nuke overheat/leafstorm pivot

The beauty is in the surprise and deceit, gorgeous snow team weedle I wanted to make cetitan work and you did it beyond my wildest dreams
You probably get a lot of team suggestions, but I tried to build a team around Glaceon/Slowking utilising trick room and chilly reception to set up snow. The game plan was then to bring in Stonjourner when Slowking switched out for the power spot boost for big damage blizzards. I had some reasonable success with the team but it definitely had a lot of weaknesses. I'd be curious to see if you could do it better, assuming the team sounded fun to play!

Excellent work as always, Weedle. I've been mucking about with Shed Tail Cyclizar into Belly Drum Azumarill with Indeedee-F support myself. It's anything but consistent, but when the Follow Me lets you drum from behind a sub and you have PsyTerrain to block prio shenanigans, and a steel-resistant Tera for the Gholdengos? Tasty.

You should try using a paradox Pokémon with booster energy and then symbiosis Florges holding something like a life orb to increase the damage, it’s underrated but useable!
