However, Dad is still the true points champion in all of our eyes. We don't usually post stuff like this...however enough is enough. If the rule was added after the beginning of the year, and not posted at the track or some notification was not issued. You got played. Track has the responsibility of informing the drivers of any changes to the rule book
Gary absolutely deserved that points championship all year he worked his ass off this year. He is the most humble and the nicest guy you’ll ever meet absolutely got cheated. We all know who the real champ is man let the water roll down off your back and off to next week

There is tracks all over this country hurting for car counts and this sort of thing contributes to some of it. Stand your ground they'll come crawling back
The racers, crew, and families that support them, are the true backbone of any racetrack. Without the backbone you are spineless. This is truly a spineless racetrack, the doesn't deserve true racers to support them.
Absolutely correct,, a racetrack cannot stand up and operate the correct way without a backbone and I've just started following Gary's racing and I have followed Tim's Racing for a very long time but this is a definite chickenshit move, that so many tracks across America, will do on their very own racers and it generally turns around and bites the racetrack in it's own ass..
They don't care about drivers or fans. They don't care or they would have stopped this "SERIOUS" safety issue in the spring when this rule took affect. The fans should look at that very close and question if their safety in other areas is being overlooked. Those stands look sketchy and weeds holding up the fences. (Should be fine)
Gary, you had one heck of a year! Whether you get the 6' tall dust collector or not, they cannot take away your accomplishments on the year.
Wow! I'm not sure if this is your local track or not, but either way that's about as low down as ours over here in NW Oklahoma!
Sad to see, and what, 4 cars were disqualified? Obviously that rule was silently put into place. I see another track go by the wayside in their future..
I saw on mylaps or whatever it is the final results and all the cars that got DQed. But on the website Gross is still the final points leader. So I'm still hoping these promotors come to their senses. Really feels like a set-up, last points race of the year and thats why they decide to call out a safety issue? Here in the Northeast if a new safety issue is applied you are notified by the track, by facebook, by multiple other outlets. You are usually given a week or two, and the officials well inspect "whatever" to make sure it was done properly and too the new rule. It would be hello to pay if a promotor tried doing something like this up here. We love our lawyers!!!! lol

Did I hear someone say, the EPA may be in contact with them to check the dirt at that track, and that the IRS was going to go and check their books to make sure they have claimed all the "Cash" they have taken in over the years?

Heres my opinion on the "Track owners". You either run a track or race a car at that track but not both. Its a conflict of interest. You cant fairly race at your track without some kinda bullshit in your favor. Its not right. Now let me guess the track owner or his son ended up with the championship? If so total bullshit. You guys have made a circus out of your little track.

Our local dirt track closed last year in south Ga. Next year it will be a pecan orchard for the same reasons. The management ran everyone off favor picking a few.

No, they had this in their back pocket. Of course they’ll use the excuse you weren’t the only one disqualified but we all know that’s a convenient excuse for them.
Its not an illegal engine just a minor safety issue.
I can’t imagine being proud of calling myself a track champion by winning it this way.

That is so sad. I want to know why Gary, Tim and others hadn't been protested and disqualified earlier in the year or given some kind warning or notice before this race. I know how hard you work to race. Then they do this to you. I don't blame you for not going back as long as the track has this owner!

Gary, it was shitty, i have been racing A-Mods division help the C-4 since 2007 and never seen a shock tether. Its prolly need but it should never change mid-season without being addressed. You can always go to I-55 or poplar bluff. Yea its a little bit of a drive but hopefully they treat you better. You are the nicest family and i know it was there u would tell RGR to put it on the car. God Bless Sir, again Resinger has to live with it

I've just started following your a channel on here and I have been a follower of Tim's channel for a really long time and I live in southern WV but I'll be sure to let people know here around my area, how your guys local track has treated you all because we have racers from around my way that like to go travel to different states and race but this'll probably be a track they don't want to race at for a Weekend, after seeing the way they have done you
Track here is doing the exact same thing. Promoter has a son running and his rules are a thing goes others by his book.
Keep your heads up Gross family it happens everywhere! We had a family track owner down here in the south and his son/grandson could literally wreck you and no penalty would be thrown to him. He won many of track championships during the time of their ownerships. Now track is in different hands and they aren’t racing anymore🤔🤔

Looks like they would have did a better job of informing people of the rule changes and had a couple weeks grace period to where the drivers could get their cars legal. Then, after the month mark they should have teched everyone. Doing it this way at the end of the season is kinda screwy to me.

I would think post race tech is for performance advantages and pre race inspection would cover safety side.
So, if I heard Gary correctly, this addition to the rulebook occurred in April? I'm pretty sure one of the two of you has been through post race tech since then!

Seems to me that if you implement a rule after the beginning of the season, the track should have a "complimentary" tech of all cars affected. Doing so would ensure all cars were in compliance and all teams understood the new rule. That way everyone is on the same page and the track is promoting a good track-racer relationship. I had that happen when the track I raced at went to a different system to mount fuel cells. I understand it's not the tracks responsibility to make sure you understand the rules , but this is pure chicken shit. I hope you have continued success at the track/tracks you choose to race. They are the losers in this situation.

If it was a safety issue why wasn’t it found before the race when they tech the cars. And how many races have been won that they didn’t disqualify you all.

That’s exactly why the small family owned tracks are closing. And it’s just not the dirt tracks. The smaller drag racing tracks are doing the same thing. The Hollands got treated the same way, which I know you know. and they said they’ll never be back to that track where they were at.

I posted my opinion on the track page and Danny Resingers page in regards to how they propose to handle the points controversy: By cancelling the points for 9/9/2023 racers are not getting the spot they deserve in the points standings and the pay out they deserve. So the track is saving money. To make things as right as you possibly can give all the racers the payout they deserve and the position they deserve in the point standings as of 9/9/2023. Also the Resingers should be removed from the points standing as if they never raced this season. That would move some racers up 1 or 2 spots in the standings and they should get paid for those positions accordingly. I noticed that you did not apologize to your sponsors. I also noticed on the track page the track has about 35 sponsors listed. Some are very notable business names that may not want their names associated with under handed management. Hopefully if the track makes everyone as whole as possible the track will survive. Again by doing what is being suggested the track is saving money by not giving racers what they deserve, adding insult to energy. Waiting to see how it goes. It is a very sad situation.

If you find your self in N.W. Missouri on a Saturday night, drop in on I-35 Speedway in Winston. They run their program on the up and up. I'm not affiliated with the track other than my nephew runs an E-Mod there. It's a shame you guys got the shaft. Especially since you've obviously supported that track for quite a while. Why was it never caught in tech after a race all year?
It was never teched, or mentioned to any driver.
You'd think a rule concerning safety would have came up in a drivers meeting when they imposed it. Something stinks here for sure.
They never teched before and never teched after the race. They never cared about safety or you would not have started the heat races until you got it fixed. This tells us all we need to know about how much that track cares about car/drivers and how willing it is to let such a "SERIOUS" safety issue risk the health of all those who showed up to support their event. At least they refunded the $40 contest fee.

I think we will see Carl Edwards back in a race car before too long I'm pretty sure he will be back in a race car he was one of the best Nascar drivers out there and he needs to get back in seat

As ive said on Tims video, this kinda bs happens everywhere, I quit motorsports due to a few lots of bs like this or similar. Ebough that i went from doing multiple forms from drag racing, "circuit", drift, local rally etc to only burnout and street drag racing (on the track but street registered vehicles) to nothing at all.
Its disgusting behaviour some people will pull for a win, or to make sure YOU dont win.
Edit: i was going to get into mud racing but numerous things came into play on that, main one was my team went from me being the main driver to sub, sure whatever, to not being a driver, to being the major financial contributor on a mechanic wage then being told im out for not contributing enough after the 7, yes 7 engines i gave them kept being traded for more stupid engines and them saying i contributed nothing, even excluding the 10 grand i gave over the entire time.
Do they have pre race tech cause if they do every track I’ve ever been to IF it is a new rule they will tell you in tech about the rule if you don’t know. An IF it is a new rule then it’s the first thing they look for is the spring tether. BUT if somebody’s don’t say anything then they don’t have to pay whoever “cheated” so they say. During the year I never looked at the rule book to see if anything had been changed. Y’all didn’t do anything wrong. The tech we got was mainly safety related not mechanical. Helluva year fellas

What was the organization that the track was running under or was it just their rules?
If it was a organization or just track rules their should have been either waited till the next year, or instructed all the race tracks to inform all drivers of the new rule.
If it was a organization’s that they were running under then did you have the option to appeal to them? If it was just track rules then can pretty well bet you last dollar it was a setup deal from the get go.
And if it was just track rules them they were responsible for making sure all parties were aware of the new rule and all drivers should have been required to sing a paper saying they understood the new rule.
So I agree with you to not go back.

Congrats on the championship that’s some bs. Similar thing happened to me in my super stock days. Won every race that year at this track and on the last race said I was illegal because I had a ford front clip but raced all year after they said it was legal a drivers voted on it. Somebody protested me and I was dq for the championship race but was paid for the track championship. Found out it was another tracks son who did it because I would go to their track for money races and beat the sin all the time for the wins. Karma is that couple weeks later his track had their championship paying 10k and I beat the shit out of all of them but funny thing is they allowed ford clips. Lost all respect for him and his dad and never went back to their track and my track made it a point to allow ford clips after what happened to me. Big in my cases my local track owner made good on my part.

Seems like alot of people knew about this and it's not the tracks responsibility to read you the rule book it's yours. The tracks writes the rules and the racer is suppose to read and follow them. Not trying to start anything but I’m really positive that spring tethers are in the ump rules. I helped a good friend on his car and I remember complaining about it being made a rule but we did it anyway
They are, however it is not something UMP checks. The issue with this rule is they didn’t let anyone know they added it after the season had started. They admitted to putting them on their car two weeks ago.
You are correct it is in the ump rules but WAS NOT IN SFCR Rules. They added it and did not notify anyone that there was rule change. The track owner and his son did not have them in their cars until the last 2 weeks. They admitted it in front of everyone last night. This was a witch hunt.

It is a UMP rule that's why I don't understand why they weren't running them already. I've seen springs come out and they could kill someone they have so much force.

You have cameras for proof there was no written protest for one, there are other drivers involved as well. If they are not stopped somehow, they the owners will do it to someone else. Whoever the guy is that protested and the owners alike are cowards straight up! I think I heard it had more to do with more of (owners) the son more than the dad. Either way. Its not an excuse. If this is true then the elder should have spoke up.

Im confused on what the tethers do in the first place. Someone could make the argument if its in the rule books then its the rule. If race teams are never notified of the change to the rulebook then y change it. By the way it sounds in the first place is something that helps with the set up at least from the brief research that I have done. It kinda sounds silly to dsq someone for that.

The tethers wrap around the rear coil springs and tie them to the car so in the event of a crash the springs can't fly out and hit other drivers or fans.
Nascar runs them, but I've never heard of weekly short tracks requiring them.
I'm not against it, you can never be to safe in and around racecars, but not notifying the teams is bs.

That’s funny, find your way off of our page. You clearly didn’t listen to the story. NOT ONE PERSON was notified about the SAFETY “RULE” That was added mid year. Not one person. It was NEVER teched, and never looked for. It was a decision after the feature, and not an official protest/disqualification done by the track owners son so that he could get the points championship.
