  • Could it Fly on 2 blades? Since doing my reviews on 1, 2, and 3 bladed Helicopters, along comes GearBest again, this time with a 4 Bladed helicopter called the XK K124. goo.gl/GST9Rm I want to see how this one compares to the 3 bladed version of the V931, which is also scale and beautiful, but has low flight time. The battery in the K124 is 700 mAh, vs the 500 mAh in the AS 350. Of course adding another blade is power robbing. 4 and 5 bladed helis even feel "heavy" on the simulator too! I expect this to be the same. This is what I found.
This helicopter flies great and has a Fabulous 2.4 GHz remote control set with LCD display and a cable for a simulator.
I love it. I flies longer with the larger 700 mah battery than the others. Could it fly longer with less blades? The answer is in the video. Price at Gearbest? $102.46. I've not broken anything on it either! Hell of a deal!
See Specs below and Thanks kindly for watching and subscribing.

This video is inspiring. I have been watching your videos for years now and it is awesome to see how well you can fly. I fly mainly fixed wing models in real life but spend a lot of time on the simulator. Perhaps this model is a good choice for my first variable pitch helicopter. Thank you.

Hi, GREAT Video ✅ I’ve recently bought one of these & it’s way too twitchy for what I’m used to. Even in 6G mode, I need to dumb it down for some indoor flying. I’d say I’m medium skill 4 channel experience. Not being familiar with the X6 transmitter, any tips or videos would be fantastic!
I’m thinking, lower head speed, dual rates even more docile and less sensitive on the expo? Beautiful heli - love your channel ! 👍🏻🚁

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  3 года назад +1

Hi. Glad you like my channel. Yes, these tiny helicopters need extremely limited stick movement. Slowing the head speed down will not allow it to lift, or especially fly inverted. Dual rates would be nice, but these transmitters do not have that function. I would like that too. Thanks so kindly and happy flying.

@@NightFlyyer Thanks for getting back to me , I did notice dual rates in your video so I had a play with my X6. 1, 2, and 4 were all defaulted to 100.
I managed to dial down pitch & roll to 70 each. ✅ Seems better, try it, let me know how it goes 👍🏻

@@nutleighgrove3658 Glad it worked out for you. I don't remember much about this heli, as all my models, home, and cars were destroyed in that huge fire on 911, 2016, not long after I made this video. But good on you and fly easy. Thanks.

Hi! I recently bought an xk k124 helicopter rtf and I can't get it to enter in 6g calibration mode/ 6g flight debugging mode(as per manual) ?! When I pull both sticks of the transmitter all the way to the bottom position and hold them there, as I read in the manual and as I watched in online videos, nothing happens. I tried all the settings I could think of : in 6g, 3g, even 3d mode; with dual rates high and low, with different values for the dual rates - under, to 100% and above, with different throttle curbs,I have factory reset the transmitter, I have rebind the heli to the transmitter etc, nothing happens.
Can you get yours to enter 6g calibration mode?
    Thank you!

+Raptor50aus Your right. I was looking at the front for a switch like the others, seeing nothing. But, there are 2 rubber plugs on the back that need popped out, then pushed inside. Not needing mode I, i never looked for it and it is not obvious, although the programming says mode 1 or 2. It will work for you. Take care. Good call!

Great to see you flying some more Dave!!
You mention your eyesight but looks like you are doing just fine and with small helicopters.
I am almost 50 and had to get my first set of glasses ever...
Realized I was flying on bad eyesight for several years.
My flying has improved drastically since getting them.
    Anyhow thanks again.
I've watched your videos for YEARS and have been inspired.
Your videos inspired me to get my first coaxial in 2011.
I have since been hooked and fly, build & tinker every day that I can with this stuff.
Hope we can meet and fly sometime.
PLEASE check out some of my videos when you have a chance and realize that that my start and motivation came from your
    old ESKY Hunter video.
I did a nice FPV video yesterday and some nice CP heli videos a couple weeks ago.
    THANKS!!! Steve

Could you reduce the power usage by increasing the angle of ateck of the blades? because the prop could spin slower i'm guessing.

    Hi Dave
Thank you for such a great video of this little gem. I already have the V977 and V931 but as I already have the XK transmitter I've been contemplating the BnF version. The XK radio was supplied with my XK350 3D Quad, the one with reversing motors, and I've been very impressed with the quality and performance of this transmitter especially as it uses the bullet proof Futaba protocol.
    Regards
