Our kitchenaid double oven was noisy. I replaced both of the fans and it is really quiet now. The fan lasted about 6 years. It seems like running the self cleaning is what starts alot of problems with the temperature sensors, so I dont recommend using it.
Brand new Miele double oven ... if I had known I would have to listen to this fan running the entire time food is in the oven I would not have purchased this.
That is the sound of a cooling blower (your oven has two of them), unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it, replacing the fan will be very expensive with very marginal (if any) improvements. Oven will overheat without them.
I believe that the problem is that the blower does not have bearings where it is attached to the motor. It is just a sleeve, that is metal on metal. The motor that I replaced on the gas fireplace is similar in style & shape but is much more substantial. When I had the motors replaced ( it is a double oven) when I first got it, it took the tech 3 times to find a set that was quiet. Now 6 years later they sound like a truck.
What does that mean "it took the tech 3 times to find a set that was quiet"? Does he order a set try it, then re-order then retry installing 3 times? Sorry, I'm just trying to figure how I can try 3 time to find a quiet set my self, will I have to keep ordering and installing? :o :(
@@darrenhwang900 Hey, Darren. That is exactly what happened. Hopefully, they have improved them and their quality control. I have a replacement one for the lower one sitting in a box that I ordered last week. Just waiting on my son & grandson to help pull it out.
we have a Kitchenaid range that has that same high pitch noise from the control cooling fan that always runs. I looked up the part # for that fan...9759320. I wonder if it's the same model of blower fan in your upper unit. I wonder what the difference in blower units is between the upper and lower....maybe they're different part numbers. What model of oven do you have? Mine is KESK901SSS. KitchenAid's Architect series....
Same problem with the Frigidaire oven from the video. It sounds like a noisy bathroom fan and runs all the time. There is even a vibration that comes through the wall which unfortunately is our bedroom. Frigidaire is not being helpful. Other units that have more insulation do not have this problem. SO far I have heard Wolf and jennaire, but they are very expensive. I have heard that Bosch and Dacor are also good but have not listened to these. THe decibels for these noisy models should be listed

mine does the same thing and my son has the same oven and his is so quiet, kitchenaid was no help at all on this. ours is so noisy from start to finish weather I am using the top or bottom oven and i don't use convection.
I believe that sound is normal its trying to maintain heat and will isolate to low and high with convection on that's how convection work and you have a cooling fan to prevent overheating that's why you hear fan speeds up and slow down isolating high and low
I am with you the more high tech these products get the worse they preform. My Kitchenaid over and my washing machine has got to go! Need the good old stuff!
@@quentinjackson3952 yeah, I hear you on the washing machine, too. Re oven, I have been putting the cast iron pan on low on the grill outside, rather than listen to the noisy oven.
We have the same Whirlpool double ovens. same fan issue. Horrible design. My other house had LG ovens (both had convection capability) with almost NO noise. I've given up and are just using them, they bake anyway.
Just bought a house with this same double oven. How could this design have ever left the factory. Really how could the engineers and sales people etc say this is ok. It is not ok. Not even close to ok. I am besides myself. Already had fans replaced.. No help.. Can't even talk next to when running and worse it continues until cooled which is after you are done eating. Again no talking because of the noise. Really it is that bad.
We have a single built in electric whirlpool oven. Same problem, always very noisy. Apparently nothing can be done about it. Like some said, just a bad design. Never had an electric oven which made noise before, let alone as much as this one does.

That ain’t noisy at all...just sounds like air moving...mine screeches!
I wish mine were this quiet, my sounds like a jet engine.

That noise is a fan in the back to prevent your wall from burning up.
Brand new whirlpool electric oven makes same whirl noise. Its odd but the oven works great! No more burnt bottom biscuits!

Like others said this is control cooling fan. similar to a fireplace fan. it is noisy.
those are some nice shoes
I'd say it's EXTREMELY ANNOYING!! OMF'ingGOD! Folks don't buy a WhirlPool! They suck! The stupid thing came with my new house and it sucks!

just bought a new maytag convection oven. same problem.
warranty repair guy just ordered a new fan but said it won't fix the problem
Yeah, my KitchenAid double oven sounds like a helicopter is landing. My next oven will be silent, I don’t care how low tech I have to go...

I have a 10k kitchen aid oven - this is the biggest pc of poo ever - my fan is easily 60 db and sounds like a polish prop plane trying to take off.
lol $10 grand for an oven. Mine cost $45. 30 year old Whirlpool.
Same problem, but mine's a Whirlpool. Had the fan replaced three times. Bad design. Will never buy a Whirlpool appliance again!
