Thanks for the feedback! I would suggest trying them I think they are my new favorite Bouldering shoe! :) I will see how they work on this heal hook crux boulder I have been trying and let you know how it goes!
hey man, great Video! thinking about buying these shoes for myself. do you think you can give an update on how these shoes have held up and are performing? thanks!
Thanks! I am loving them both a lot and they have held up very well out here on the sharp Joshua Tree granite. They are both my new favorite shoes, but if I had to choose one I would go with the Mastia (heal just fits a little better for my narrow heal).
Thank you for doing this! I'm just about to pick a new climbing shoe and I don't really know if I go with the Mastia or Mundaka, so this review helps a lot, specially in the sizing department. I'm probably going with the Mastia, though.
Hi Eric! Thanks so much for your feedback so stoked this helped you out! I know getting new shoes is always scary epically now days its so hard to find a place to try some on.
@@MarkhamUP just go my Tenaya Mastia and I really liked it, but I did find the 3 sizes down thing to be too much for me, to a point it was really hurting my toes. So I'm thinking about getting 2.5 to 2 sizes down instead. What I wanted to know is, did the Mastia stretch at all? Because depending on how much it did stretch, I'd get a .5 size bigger or smaller. Keep it up with the great job 👊
@@erimendan they do stretch a bit, especially at the big knuckle, that rubber just take a while, warm the shoes up to body temperature, and wear them round the house to help break them in. I'm going down another .5 on my next pair because they stretched more than I thought they would. I can wear mine for 2 hours round the gym no probs, unless I've been climbing lots of slab. Hope this info helps.
No problem! Thank you for your comment. My Kilter board is at 45 degrees exactly and my new Tension Board 2 12X8 is at 50 degrees exactly. I would say all boards should be set between 40 and 50 degrees. Please as any more questions as you think of them I am here to help my friend!
Another great vid with info you can't find anywhere else, nice work Jon!
Thanks a lot Big Dawg!! You better trade in those hipster gym shoes and get a pair!
Great video! I’ve been considering the Mastias for a while. Love my Tenaya Ra’s but want something more aggressive. Thanks for the vid!

@@MarkhamUP sweet! Great info. I was leaning toward getting the mastia. Think I'm going to pull the trigger 👍

Bit off topic but how high (vertically) is that wall?
Tempted to make one in my garage.
