      Mass O Pepeta how long does it take you to charge?

    • @maso4u
      @maso4u 6 лет назад +1

      Teodor R. Gindac specifically estimating it can go from 2% to 50%in just under 30min if I'm not making an exaggeration

    • @ethiopiannoodle
      @ethiopiannoodle 6 лет назад +1

      Mass o Pepeta Wow, really? I actually use the power brick from my tablet which has a higher output and even with this I get around 1 % per minute. What charger are you using for it? As a rule of thumb i don't let the phone battery drop under 40% and over 90% due to how long it would take to charge from 10% to 100% for example...

    Got it today for around 13$ a month I think, on 2 years contract. I actually wanted the A5 and it was out of stock and theeeeen I saw the P Smart box peeking behind the Mate 10 lite and went for it. I was like 'yeah sure I can live with this one too', but at the end of the day I was really positively surprised. Screen is gorgeous, it's fast, and the feeling itself in hand is really something else. Fingerprint sensor is very fast. Took the blue one, looks really nice with black at front.

    Between this and the Honor 9 Lite (what is a few quid cheaper) which phone can give me a battery life (in normal/general use) easily for a full day, a camera that shows natural/true to life photos with faster autofocus, less oversaturated photos & better low light) & with some form of electronic stabilization, app loading with almost zero refresh, louder speakers which I can hear in a bus or London Tube and a great sunlight legibility? (Unlike my old P8 Lite) and would you say updates are as quick/slow as other Android OEMs? And is there a dark theme that u can apply to the phone even on the Settings? Quick GPS lock?

    If you get it before the 18th you can get a £50 PayPal credit by buying from Argos, Amazon,O2 etc , brought it in PAYG from O2 for £189 and will send in for the £50 credit after 14 days. Hoping I get it unlocked as done thru eBay at £2.99 but can take up to 10 working days 😀

      Quick Expert Reviews so far I think it's good, but unable to use it fully till I get the sim unlock, but fingerprint unlock is super fast, sound is good, could be a little louder, performance is very good, but as I say cannot tell about call quality etc until unlocked, which is only 2nd day can be waiting for up to 10 working days, the emui I don't have a problem with it's very good. I currently have a Lenovo P2 which is super on battery, but it's a bigger phone that this one and also much heavier, hence why I got the Huawei, which is much better in the hand. 😀

    • @gadgetuk48
      @gadgetuk48 6 лет назад

      Looks like I'm not going to get it unlocked, so will need to return it, have already contacted O2 will send me a bag to send it back for refund, shame,I still have couple days to get the code but it's looking unlikely after 8 working days, even though the eBay seller said I definitely get the code on Thursday. Will not wipe it till I get the returns bag incase I get the code, as I said it's a real bargain with the £50 PayPal credit, thought I'd just update you with it.

  • @TechNomadUK1

    Hey great video. But need to ask...how quick is the GPS lock? Speakers "average" or adequate? (When outside), are there Themes selection? How fast does it bootup or apps starting up? Camera would u say is natural or warm or bland & cool? Night shots any good? And what EMUI version is it now? Have u had any more updates since purchase?

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks
      Around 5-10s for GPS.
      Speakers loud, but not very punchy.
      There are loads of themes to choose from. Apps start fast but it takes good 15s for the phone to boot up. Camera really good, but only outdoors.

  • @longlowdog
    @longlowdog 6 лет назад

    I have just bought this phone in blue for £145 sim free. I visited this video and found it informative but you ran through it rather fast for a 50 year technological Luddite. A little slower and I would have been really impressed. However big thanks for what I have learned today.

      Thank You.
      I really appreciate your feedback, as this is mainly content that I create for You guys. I did have some feedback in the past, saying 10 minute long videos are exactly fitting with the channel name, but I did find that taking more detailed approach does make sense.
      £145 is a really good price, the lowest I've seen so far was £179.

  • @TechNomadUK1

    Im curious to know if there is any option for swipe up on the homescreen to reveal the apps similar to Moto, Sony and Samsung? Is there a screen flash option in the selfie camera? Have you had any more updates since? Dis the phone actually came with a pre-installed screen protector? Re the photos when editing does it creates an Edited folder or does it appear beside the original photo? How easy to distinguish the original to the edited photo?

    • @spangledsky777
      @spangledsky777 6 лет назад +1

      Gino Guillermo no option to swipe for app drawer - you can have a drawer but there is an icon to open it. Install nova launcher or similar for this. No hardware flash on selfie camera - I believe it does a software flash at night ie screen lights up. Had a couple of security updates also one that adds Volte and a few other things- Phone is on EMUI 8.0.0 at the moment in UK. Phone comes with screen protector fitted. Built in editor saves photo next to original, not in edit folder. The edited image is the latest image in directory. This is a beautiful phone with many good features.

    • @TechNomadUK1
      @TechNomadUK1 6 лет назад +1

      Carabak So how about battery life, RAM management & performance and camera? (As I heard the sister Honorary 9 Lite is slightly better).

    • @spangledsky777
      @spangledsky777 6 лет назад

      Gino Guillermo I charge once a day with light browsing, news, downloading wallpapers etc. It’s no heavyweight. If you use the built in cleaner once a day or so the phone runs smooth and fast. You also really need to close apps regularly with the recents button. I don’t run games but my experience of Huawei phones at this price is they don’t run games well. I have taken some very sharp daytime shots with the camera at full resolution. Not so good in low light - noise etc. There is a very comprehensive pro camera mode where you can adjust exposure, white balance, shutter speed etc (but not aperture - this can be done with the dual cameras in normal mode). There are also modes for light painting, time lapse etc. I am no great photographer but have taken some quite arty snaps. I went for this over the honor 9 lite as I wanted metal build, gold and white Phone and the Huawei logo which I think looks better quality than honor. Just my preference.

    Do you know why P10 lite is a Little bit expensive? i think it might be its construction materials. What do you think?

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  6 лет назад

      I can only guess that's because when it first launched it was around £250 where P Smart from the very beginning was at around £180 (or even £130 if you include the £50 PayPal offer when it launched). But that's my guess.

    What phone will be best the Huawei P Smart or Huawei honor 8 for using social media,camera ?

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  6 лет назад +1

      P Smart front facing camera has a brighter aperture of f/2.0 which means it captures more light, but when it comes to main camera at the back of both handsets, Honor 8 has an edge. I'd say Honor 8 is a better option if they're priced the same. Otherwise if there's a big difference I'd say go for P Smart which is still a lovely phone.

      Samsung A5 2017. However if your hands are really shaky I would suggest A5 2016, because 2016 model has Optical Image Stabilisation, which helps reduce shaky hands.

      P Smart. Better camera (not only dual lens, but better colour reproduction), bigger screen, faster processor. In terms of storage both come in 32GB and 64GB and both have expandable memory. On top of that P Smart runs on latest android 8.0 Oreo, where P10 Lite is on older Nougat 7.0.

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  6 лет назад +3

      I usually end up with Sony and Apple handsets, however I had Huawei P6 in past (for 2 weeks) but I couldn't stand it. Software kept crashing, force closing. That was 5 years ago. I gave them one more chance a year ago and bought Huawei P10, which I loved, but sold and got Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Both were my favourite phones of 2017, and to be honest I'm absolutely in love with P Smart. Yes it has its limitations (brand, not the most powerful processor, some people hate EMUI User Interface) but it has more features and functionality than some £300+ phones, and that's why it's brilliant. I mean just the screen itself is 18:9, Full Hd+ (over 1080p) and it has dual lens camera + fingerprint sensor, yet it's priced so low. If you buy it from O2 in UK you can play with it for 14 days and return it if you don't like it.

      I know. I'm currently testing Xiaomi Redmi S2, which I've got from gearbest.com. It currently sells for £116, but what you get for what you pay is unreal. It took them 5 days to ship it from Hong Kong. It's totally ridiculous in terms of what they've packed in to a phone which is £116. Fingerprint sensor, fast processor, fast GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage expandable by memory cards, 2 sim cards, finger print sensor, 5.99" screen.
      Absolutely ridiculous.

      Sounds like you can't go wrong with either. The screen size isn't that different, however obviously 5.9 on Mate 10 Lite makes more sense for Web browsing, but at the same time, the camera on both has a f/2.2 aperture, but the M10L has 16 Mpix as opposed to 13 on P Smart. Also the M10L comes with bigger battery, but I just love how cheap P Smart is. Currently O2 sells them for £189 with £50 PayPal cashback voucher which takes the phone down to £139. Not sure about the price of brand new M10L but considering that the spec is very similar (same processor, internal memory) I'd personally go for cheaper option
