    He was the greatest flat jockey in history anyone who thinks otherwise know nothing about horse racing

    Should have been Knighted years ago these days they give it to any Tom Dick or Harry for doing very little RIP SIR LESTER

      He couldn't because he was in jail

      He was given an OBE in 1975. He had it taken off him in 1988 when he got locked up. The Queen said he was a very naughty boy. He was never knighted

    what amazed me as well is how well he kept his body, I have lumped weight on as I got older but his body still looked good!

      I can't recall the name but remember it carried the comment in "Timeform" "Only goes for L Piggott"
