i guess I'm kind of randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to watch new tv shows online ?
@Cameron Titus I watch on Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Callen Darian Definitely, have been watching on FlixZone for since march myself :)
@Callen Darian thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :) I appreciate it!
Can i ask why not use a white base instead of black? I use white base for majority of my ink drops and it saves me from having to use so much white ink. I see most people use black base and im nee to ink drops so just wondering why black instead of white
I switch back and forth you do get a different look on the black base and generally get more cells and lacing effects with the black bases and white inks. Somewhere I've done them side by side a very long g time ago. I'll put updating a side by side video on my to do list!
I couldn't cast mine to the tv to see better. I'm thinking your camera was long side up instead of sideways. Very interesting video. Pretty
It may have been theres newer videos with the same technique that are horizontal....
Question: Can you use a black base tumbler instead of painting it black?
Yes you can.
Can't wait to try this! When you drop the alcohol ink on for the first layer, is it simply drops and there is still black paint showing through? Or do you try to make it so no black is showing?
Completely up to you how much black you want visible when finished, you can do full coverage or for a galaxy style leave black.
Why are my colors not very vibrant? I made the first one and it was nice and bright. This second one the colors just look kind of blah. And I have it as level as I can get it but everything seems to run down to the bottom so I lose the bottom color. Should I just make my top colors thinner and the bottom colors wider to help with this?
You can or you can tilt your turner up a bit to start.... if it moving a ton you may also try a little less epoxy to start with.
So I have a silly question.. why not just do this over a prepped white tumbler?
You absolutely can do them on white, it just depends on what color you want peeking through as your negative space if you are leaving any.
I did a side by side today I will get up later or tomorrow sometime to show the difference between the two bases....
How long after the last coat of epoxy can it be used?
Every epoxy has a final hard cure time listed typically 48 to 72 hours after a final coat a tumbler can be washed and used.
Thank you!
Would a hairdryer on low speed work for the heating?
It would you just may need to heat a little less that's all
Beautiful!! I got a question do I need face protection for this epoxy?
You should always use whatever level of PPE and ventilation the resin you are working with calls for. It's a hotly debated topic and I wont tell anyone what they should or should not do. Everyone needs to do research and do what they are comfortable with.
What is the name of the kit you did this cup? And did u spray paint the tumbler?
There are links for all or most products used in the description.... but this a full list for colors...
Prepped the tumbler and spray painted black, layer of resin MLs of resin about equal to tumbler size in ounces.... drip on your colors then drop the white ink on top , heat gun to move it
Tim Holtz Fiesta
TH Crimson
TH Valencia
Pinata Sunbright Yellow
TH Mojito
TH Glacier
TH Cobalt
TH Boysenberry
PIN White
Do you apply another coat of epoxy after the ink dries?
If it's completely smooth I will go straight to decal and 2 more thin clear layers ,if it has any bumps I will clear layer decal then clear layer again.
So the white yoy put on was just a regular white alcohol ink same brand as others?
I only use jaquard pinata white ink for these cups regardless of what brand the colored inks were. Do NOT use the tim Holtz mixatives whatever you do they are not a standard ink and will not yield the same results.
If your color mixed too much can you add more ink on the second coat?
Sometimes yes sometimes no, if you just need less color your best bet is to swirl clear and your basecoat color to break it up... inks are translucent they only look solid when over a solid base so if you cover with more inks you may get a muddier color as the 2 show layers show through each other....
just found you...can you buy the spinner or do hafta diy
This one came from amazon. I did modify my arms but that isn't strictly necessary. I just wanted mine all interchangeable.
I have same kind turner, do you know what take off the dry up glitter? i have one from and it pink noddway cup turner.... i want make rainbow one for my friend, i started my frist
I sometimes hit it with the heat gun for a minute and chip the resin bits off.... but mostly mine are just a mess since I dont always put something under the cup... 🤷♀️
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle oh me either i always for get put down paper. i will have give that a try
That's why I put contact paper on the table at least so I can just peel it off and put new when that gets too bad 😂
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle I do to for some reason mine like to blow off to the bottom :(
I had a few cups start mixing colors real bad and also big epoxy holes. Any solutions?
I get a few holes here and there usually if I handled the cup too much after spray paint or didnt use enough epoxy.... if the color is okay and I can I will just decal around the hole and it will fill in on the next coat typically. If they are mixing it's usually because the colors are being applied too close together or overlapped.... inks will get muddy in a hurry. If I need a very separated contrasting color mix I will use paints or micas to help keep blending to a minimum...
Can I use a black tumbler instead of spray painting it?
Yes any black base is fine. Just as long as your resin with hold to it it will work!
Why is it no one says if you need o sand between epoxy coats
Hi there generally speaking if you apply your next coat within 24 hours there is no need to sand the next layer will be able to chemically bond to the previous coat, if it is past that stage you need to sand to give the next layer a chance to mechanically bond to the previous layer. Hope that helps!
Great job ❤️❤️ why a black base? I’m curious
You can do a white base , a black base will just give you black negative spaces for a different effect. Negative space will depend on how much ink you add though, you can leave a lot or almost none.
does this process prevent chipping...or is there something else you should do...can you dishwash
Rachael Chase yep I tried it, there was a huge difference.
Saylor5 was a retired assistant coach 5PM coach at Stanford University 7AM college in new York in June and has since been released to the NFL on Sunday and its its now intact the districtwide with the team with four players and four of the five players to the league
Saylor5 is a great role player who was the first team to get to play the game for the first time of the year and the future for his team has been a great year for the better and more teams that he is playing for the better than his last two games in game history at this point on the future if they are going to have a great year and a good team to get
What are the ink colors in order of how you used them for this tumbler?
I will watch it again and see if I can tell!
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle Thank You .... I'll be waiting....I LOVE THIS TUMBLER! Thank you so much for teaching us how to do it! :D
Tim Holtz Fiesta
TH Crimson
TH Valencia
Pinata Sunbright Yellow
TH Mojito
TH Glacier
TH Cobalt
TH Boysenberry
PIN White
The white is the most critical part of this cup if you dont have Pinata white just use a white cup base instead whatever you do do NOT use a white mixative or dye its will not sure and just be a mess!
Where do you buy your tumblers from?
Maker flo crafts my link should be I the description. They are great ship quick and come with boxes straws and care cards (except some of the specials or destash deals they offer those may not)
