I just moved up to Tennessee and live around Nashville. I really wanna get into mountain biking! What is a good entry level bike for trails around here?
The best bang for your dollars will likely be a hardtail. I'd suggest checking out your local bike shops to see what they have available and to get properly fitted.
Hey, Dave! Random question: do you ride flats or clipless? I bought an IXS Trigger FF after watching your review. I absolutely love it. It'd be cool to see your thoughts on footwear (I'm in the market for something better)
I primarily ride flats now. About 14 years ago I was on clips for several years. Both are great in their own way, I just prefer flats and think they are more fun for my type of riding. For shoes I've been using Gyro this past season or two. Pretty good really. They wore somewhat quicker than my old Adidas Trail Cross SL but are still going.
If they kept the same level of quality from the Adidas version to the current FiveTen, I'd jump on them. I still wear my old Trail Cross. They have lasted for years now.
I went to bakers on the Saturday before last, I overshot the jump your friend crashed on and land on the roller. Your lucky you got a shuttle for devil’s racetrack, I climbed pappys way And it was horrible.
The guy that slowed you down on Devil’s is a 61 year old guy that I know, it was his first time ever riding something like Devil’s. I think I went down behind him so we just missed each other
That's awesome! I don't feel he slowed me down though. I'd rather everyone just have a good time and since he was going down the trail before me, I got out of his way so he could better enjoy the ride.
@@PedalingDave man it was awsome watching him enjoy that trail, he wanted to do the rock drop so bad, so I talked him into it. Bakers is my fav. spot to ride I go a lot.
What's your favorite flow/jump trail? Baker Creek ranks as one of the best and most fun places I've been to.
Barn burner is my favorite
Stash and cash at Wilkins branch or phase 2 jumptrail at cedar hill is tied for my second, devils racetrack is first.
Dude your turning on beast mode
Thanks man! I'm finally "getting it" it seems, LOL!
@@PedalingDave I can tell a huge difference from early videos to now. Your clearing everything and with style
I just watched your vid from Hamilton creek 2 years ago to this one here and your progression is sick bro.
Thanks so much!
Hope I can keep it up👍
Thanks for the cameo Dave! It was awesome riding with you again. I still can't believe GC didn't let go of the handlebars!
No problem man!
The bars thing..I dunno but thankfully it all worked out without anyone being harmed, lol!
Nice Dave!
I really need to check this place out!
It's crazy good fun!
Killer sends Dave!
🙌🙌🙌
Really hoping to get down to Baker Creek this year
It's truly one of the most fun places I've been to. Highly recommend!

If you can find one, a Ragley is a great bike that is surprisingly budget friendly for what you get. It's also a bike that you can grow into
@@PedalingDave I ended up getting a giant fathom 2!
HeeeeyaaaA💥💥💥💥🤠💥💥💥💥

@@PedalingDave I'm actually looking at the Trail Cross. And it appears that you and I like the same type of riding

@@PedalingDave Awesome! Maybe Santa will get me a pair this year
I love Bakers but I'm not good enough for Devils yet... gotta stick with Barn Burner atm!
Barn Burner is a Lotta fun too imo! 😎

Shuttles are sublime!
