  • Busch Gardens Tampa is hard as work on new attractions, starting with an addition to Pantopia in 2024 to replace Sand Serpent, The Phoenix, and the 3 small children's rides in the area. The area is not too large for a full coaster and many attractions took up the space, so hopefully the replacement will feature multiple rides and possibly a smaller family coaster. The other area that will get work soon is Jungala, with the large climbing area known as Tree Top Trails and its two rides known as Jungle Flyers and The Wild Surge, and the OrangCafe restaurant all completely closed off and sitting abandoned. This ambitious area allowed children to climb through nets and obstacles all around, and allowed them to get close in many creative ways to animal exhibits worked into the land seamlessly. The land slowly lost pieces year after year, before reaching the completely closed state it is in today, and is certainly primed for the parks next addition after Pantopia.

Did you notice the new kumba signage and track? I think they’re replacing a few sections right now and possibly the whole ride at some point. The entrance to the cobra roll is all new track.

Only the footers were replaced. The track is still the same.

One of my friends has always said that Busch Gardens should gut the Pantopia Theater and put an indoor coaster or dark ride in there.
