- Glad tidings fellow traveller. Today we're at an abandoned university, which once specialised in Animal and Egyptian studies. Now the building has been left for years but with everything still inside and the power still on.

Exploring the dilapidated ruins of civilisation, abandoned buildings, creepy theme parks, military bases, and underground vaults containing the remnants of a by gone era. And with a bit of comedy and humour chucked in there too, can't be too serious about these things.

that place is crazy the orange telescope is for surveying ground levels worth alot even that older model ,still get used today ,shows how much cash the councils waste ,by not cutting the power ,selling off the stuff in there
The amount of abandoned buildings with electric still on, with expensive equipment still there, just to be wasted. The system of everything is all wrong. Great video.

In the US a place like this would have Been 100% vandalized and anything of any value would’ve been taken. You’re lucky you get to explore places like this that are relatively untouched.

The "laser" you found is actually a surveyors level/guage there worth a pretty penny if by decent companys like LEICA

As retired surveyor the first instrument was a surveyors level maybe Kern. The second was an electronic theodolite, not sure of of the make.

@@gromhub Thanks, worked with them both for many a year. Your right about the value too. If in good condition, which they looked like the were, a conservative would around £3000 for both.

they leave the power on as a deterrent so people don’t scrap the wires! someone died not to long ago where i’m from, the power was off but a main from the road was live and they tried to cut it and got 120 volts.

I've not attended any college or university so this is awesome to visit with you. I may not have a higher education, but I'm just glad i don't have any student loans to worry about. 😉
Very cool video. So much wasted equipment. I wonder if the building sections were unused due to mold infestation? When my school discovered a pervasive wide spread mold infestation the administration flipped out and immediately closed the affected rooms and the instructors had one hour to remove personal belongings and were not allowed to remove any school equipment. Everything went into the rubbish bins and the buildings deconstructed to the wall studs and then sanitized and then rebuilt.

That is a safety cabinet where lab techs can use chemicals safely. The fumes are pulled away from the user using negative airflow. The shower was probably used if they come in contact with chemicals
