      @@mikecha1957 I discovered the Pit Boss play list shortly after commenting last night. I plan on trying your bacon and onion smash burger with a side of smoked corn tomorrow after work. Do you have any recommendations on the type of pellets to use? I bought the Apple Blend to try out

    • @mikecha1957
      @mikecha1957  4 года назад

      @@southatlantagaragedoors6515 The apple are fine. I normally use the competition blend mostly because I can get a 40lb bag at lowes for under $20.00 and they are decent pellets.

    Looks great. But how about a recipe we can use when we throw the corn on with our ribs, chicken, etc (225F-300F)? I know that the "recipe" will be more or less the same. I am thinking more in terms of cooking time.

    • @mikecha1957
      @mikecha1957  4 года назад

      Hey Darrel for corn I run the cooker at around 250 for at least 30 to 45 min. As far as cook times with corn I look for noce even charing without drying it out. With most meat I ho by internal temp. I hope this helps you. Thanks for the question

      Hey James thanks for asking. This particular cook took a total of approximately 45 minutes. I don't usually pay that much attention to cook time I just cooked it until I liked the look of them. Just a little char all over.
