hey! Fellow Gamedev here, i was here to tell you that the sun having to be separated was because you chose the Panorama skybox option which is usually and mostly for 3D games, it's the same as the Minecraft title screen background (which is also a Panorama), the issue could have been fixed just by changing the setting to Procedural sky, I'm not sure this was a guaranteed fix, but it would look Flatter than the circular background you had, hope this helped!, and i dont really use RPG in a Box so i cant help with the cutscenes being wonky, but my fix would be just having an invisible object pushing marve into the portal,

4:05 lmao you could have just left the tile in place, and used an invisible object for the collision :P I do like that you went through every hoop possible to get it to work though, because that's the best way to learn!
You could’ve also maybe edited the global lightning to hide the background. As for teleporting, you could use what paper-mario usually does! Teleport pipes!
I do definitely agree that RPG in a box is an amazing software, I had just wish that they updated the tutorials so I could understand them better or have it worded in a easier way to understand because there are a lot of ways something can stop working that causes frustration that isn't commented on the official RPG in a box tutorials. but I must say these videos do make me want to make games again :)

For the lucky blocks, couldn't you have just made a transparent object to be the trigger (that has collision), and then put the tile over the top of it? That way you could reuse the transparent object for multiple triggers (I've never used RPG in a Box so I'm not exactly sure how it works, but this seems like it would logically work)
