Before today, I had thought that the only way to apply negative jump boost was via a potion, so you'd have to teleport the player away from the arena, and the box wouldn't have any way to know where to teleport them back to. Apparently you can use /effect to give Jump Boost 128, which prevents players from jumping. This is a non-obvious bug, though apparently a bunch of people know about it. I don't really appreciate being called "off the ball" for failing to know about an obscure bug.

There has to be a server that every day there is a "it" and the rest build bases for that day and have to try to survive. My idea is every day you gain 10 points and you spend points for things like speed,blocks,etc. Good idea right?

You can give the people jump boost(id:8) with amplifier 128-250

You should make a mini-game involving portals! That would really get you some subs. Portals, like the ones made with a portal gun.
