  • A bucket list hike to Strangler Cairn in Conondale National Park, QLD.
Not a hard hike, around 6kms return hike to this famous giant egg, sculpture my Andy Goldsworthy, that hundreds of hand cut granite and Mary Valley slate was helicopters in from a local quarry. In 2012, it cost a near $680 000.
It's very interesting to see yourself, hence why it's been on my bucket list of hiking for ages. I probably would have went earlier, but you do need a 4WD to get over the 3 river crossings. Hence the adventure in Diego's 4WD.

Adding some free camping at a near by location, little Yamba creek.
Dora loves an adventure and tries to make every day an adventure, if she can. So on a weekend, you can definitely have an adventure. Even a day trip somewhere you haven't gone before can be an adventure.
That's what this channel is about, adventures. But the biggest adventure / bucket list / goal for Dora is reaching 80 countries. She is about 57/ 58 countries into the goal. I've got to rework the numbers, to work it out, as can you count a country you went into for the day? I crossed the border into Paraguay to go shopping and hangout for a few hours. I changed money and bought things.
Can you count a country you stayed over night? as I did stay over night in Japan once. The airline paid for the hotel and breakfast and I spent no money there, hence I didn't put it on my list as visited.
Can you say you have visited a country when you only went to the capital, for a weekend?
I have to come up with some rules, I think. What do you think?
Disclaimer, we have no clue what we are doing making videos or even filming but we are having fun with the process. This is our 6th video upload, there's one previous of a volcano erupting in Vanuatu, but that doesn't count. It was just a random upload 4 years ago and when Dora thought about uploading to RUclips and starting a blog about chasing 80 countries but started an Instagram account instead.
I do some very random things on that Instagram page, one being a weekly Wednesday dance to make people smile. Life shouldn't be so serious and we need to laugh more, mainly at Dora and her questionable dance moves. I do, now post that dance to shorts on Wednesday's. Well, I will again.
But lets be friends on Instagram

➡️ back to this video, our 6th video upload.... watch us put up a tent and pack it full of blankets, as its winter. Enjoy some river crossings in the 4WD, Diego's fav part of the weekend. Watch the hike to the Strangler Cairn, it's a nice walk, see Dora so excited to finally see this giant egg shaped sculpture. Bucket list hike ✅
We spend a night in a tent, not made for winter.

So upside, this video was made lots shorter as half the footage was deleted. Hence I have taken ages to upload it, I've been a bit upset with myself at deleting 6 months of last year's adventures.

Thanks Jenny, this was such a fun overnighter. A free camp site with toilets 👏🏼👏🏼 ok might have been smelly but better than squatting in the dark🤣

Ah the joys of camping - tent set up - smelly bathrooms. The driving on the other side of the road always freaks me out (living in the US all my adult life) . The Gold mine was very interesting although I wonder how many people entered before they closed it down. EEEEK bats! The egg story was very interesting and the hike was beautiful. The countryside is lovely. Thanks for sharing. Love Blacklist! Sorry that you lost this footage. But this was very good. If I could make one suggestion - to adjust the volume it was loud in some areas and very low in others. It difficult to hear you. The hike and egg was my favorite.

Thank you for the feedback about the volume.
I probably rushed to post it and didn’t check the volume.
The egg story is fascinating, can you see why it was a bucket list hike I had to do ?
