Husband pointed out a perspective that's pretty cool about the Loom video data: 2023 had 62.1% wrap up meetings. 2024 had a 69.3% Loom watch rate, so there was INCREASED engagement with clients providing a video to watch at their convenience.
My biggest concern adding a doc collection tool separate from the PM/organizer tool is it sends clients to a different place for another piece (same as with separate renewal software). Where's the threshold for clients being annoyed at the dispersed nature of your service vs. an all-in-one solution? The best idea I heard out of Realize is you use proposal and collection systems that are unique links rather than logins, so the client gets a link out of your centralized PM/messaging platform. That keeps it localized for the client without the hassle of multiple logins. What's your take on this concern and solution?
I've got a pod next week on this topic and you've basically explained the outline of it One perfect portal is the ideal (but not realistic today) One portal that hands off to other portals is worse but... Multiple portals with multiple logins is the very worst Interestingly, I'm talking with a growing number of firms who use a workflow portal FIRST (rather than a PM portal) since the workflow tool is solving a more time consuming workflow problem And frankly it may be easier for workflow tools to add PM features than for PMs to become workflow tools. But time will tell there. If they can't, then workflow tools will become the PMs of the future.
In that case the workflow portals that have collection and delivery for both ends, with the PM sitting internally in-between, seems like the best solution. And hopefully crossing between platforms isn't a significant loss to automation or efficiency.
@jasoncpa thanks for addressing! Looking forward to hearing this on the pod. I love your content and am trying to figure all this out for my first tax season! @derekfoote1985 - thanks for bring this concern up because it's something I'm struggling to piece together.
1:50 i can confirm that i use a meeting recorder even with my sketchiest meetings (my mandatory check-ins with my parole officer).
Will be helpful context when you build a bot for your internet thought leadership for those on parole
@jasoncpa i truly hope one day i can become a thought leader for people who wear ankle bracelets 🤞

That is super interesting. And it makes sense, given that a quick loom can be consumed more readily than a live meeting!
Perplexity is such a time saver! Fundamentally replaced Google, yes.
Amazing video brother

@@DerekFoote1985 Yeah I think that'd be my approach
