Kpop Idols Slip & Fall Because Of Slippery Stage

- Hi everyone, So I was going through some of my older videos and came across this one so I decided to re-upload it and update it a bit because I can’t believe the amount of times idols have performed on wet & slippery stages despite all the accidents that have occurred. It’s sad that I even have to say how professional idols are in these situations because it shouldn’t even have to happen.

What makes all of this worse is that the female idols have to wear heels and the male idols have to do really high jumps which would make it hurt way more
Yes!! And they could seriously injur themselves and the fact that there manager doesn’t stop for a second and make sure there okay is ridiculous to me. If there not going to make sure there okay at least put them in medical attention right after
And they're so trained and indoctrinated in their culture they don't even think about leaving those jumps out and maybe move less on higher shoes, which would probably cause a lot of (asian sorry) Fans to claim they were lame and lazy.
@@annachristinanotyet4678 yeah especially when Jennie form blackpink hurt her ankle
people called her lazy cause she way trying not to move to much and people straight up called her lazy
and so many other insults.
maybe it's Koreans' favorite pastime to watch idols fall in the rain. 😄 Otherwise, they have already come up with something with this scene, for example, make it slanted so that the water drains, and does not accumulate.
@@Dracularatheveganvampire I'm not into Blackpink so much but i can clearly say this is true
seriously, the dream concert in 2018 was just something else. so many idols fell down that day, there are even some falls that weren't shown in this video. the whole event was just so poorly managed
It is the most painful thing to watch especially when the idols fell harder and harder after every fall
I haven't watched it but judging from these clips the event should've just been cancelled if you ask me
⁹
fr,i know right
these accidents are not minor. they should be taken care of before idols get on stage .
this is super dangerous
The problem is that the idols sometimes push the injury which makes things worse
I agree with you. That poor young woman out of Sista it was a terrible fall she had!
@@Danna-ek5hq exactly-
@@candyhunter4262 definitely. just by looking at it i feel the pain. i hage ahd terrible falls but these accidents are just a whole new level.
@@siaa7946 I completely agree with you. If this happened in other countries/concerts can you imagine how often it would be in the news etc?!! I’m genuinely in pain looking at some of these falls, the poor guy who falls onto his face almost! Really awful aren’t they? Hope no one had any ‘major’ injuries poor kids.
Why do companies allow idols or groups to preform in the rain or on slippery stages? It’s ridiculous
Probably some stupid "The show must go on" mentality. Absolutely no regard for the safety of idols.
Honestly, I think, it's so ingrained in the Artists they want to do this like "A bit of weather can't break us, we rather break ourselfs."
they are working, they dont care about their safety, only about money, that's the korean mentality in general, are you new to this world? lmao, koreans overwork, it's part of their culture
Most of this problem would be solved if the scenario had a carpet on the ground even it was drenched in water.
The companies allow this due to how is conceived the idol business. An idol is not an idol until it gains some name and is not a celeb until it becomes a reference in the korean entertainment market and also wealthy. Meanwhile it's a precarious employee. Before that, they might have to perform on the streets, under the rain if necessary, like fishing supporters. So, the companies consider that doing concerts if under the rain must be done for the sake of the job. Eventhough some have had a short and apparently successful career and did not earn a penny cause their apprentice contracts.
@@alilordoftheskies5079 This! And a lot of these kpop idols pay to perform at these venues
The amount of time Yuju fell in Me Gustas Tu scared me. Yet she sang and performed as if nothing happened. This is what you call a strong woman…
you can see her leaving the stage in sobs i can’t imagine in how much pain she was
@@alexandraleduc8662 not really, and their choreos suck LMAO not hard at all and they dont move around that much.
OVERRATED MUCH? tell that to the lovelyz girl at 09:58, her arm was twisted so damn much, and you are here crying over a stupid fall that wasn't even dangerous, also their choreos are not even hard, why do they fall that much?
@@AnnitaAndrade geez hater much, did u not how hard she hit the floor? try falling that much and standing up and dancing like that right after
@@AnnitaAndrade i hope you find peace, because we all can see how much you are struggling in your life by the comments you are leaving lmao.
The females wearing heels it looks really hurt really hard really really stylist
what
R/ihadastroke ?
they don't know what the stage is like human so they will give heels normally gg's dance with heels or shoe
godzilla had a stroke while reading this and freaking died
@@p3achyyp8p16 ok
The fact that you can see a lot of water being moved when the staff with mops go across the stage should be reason enough to postpone or do something so the idols don't have to perform on that stage
I mean, dancing in the rain is one thing, but dancing on a rainy, slippery stage is another.
@4:47 face plants should be a wake up call to these producers!
Those must’ve hurt a lot. It’s honestly really sad that they have to go through this.
The part that gfriend got so many falls, it's soooo hard from me to look at it 😭
So disturbing to watch. They go on because of professionalism, but from what I can see, many of those falls look Extremely painful as well as a possible career ending occurrence.
Yea but when your in heels
Kpop industry is so disgusting and toxic in this sense. They should never allow the members to perform in those weather conditions. The idols safety should be priority
Well when Kpop realizes their products are human but if that's ever going to happen in our lifetime...
It’s the company there’s supposed to be perfect in humanity’s eyes that’s what people think idol means there still human eye people don’t see it
For all these falls I’m surprised with how well in almost every clip they can get back into the dance. Very few clips the idol had to take a noticeable pause to get back in time with the rest of the group.
There have been broken bones that were danced on more than onces in Kpop history and you know how our lovlies are punching the air if they have to sit out just one concert round bc someone actually made them listend (to the doctors) for onces ;)
How hard can it be to put a quick roof/cover over the stage? You would think it would be common practise at events where there might be bad weather...
Or to make sure 100% that it's dry before they perform. Or maybe postpone for bad weather. Or put down some sort of safety mat. There's so many ways they can protect these idols and avoid injury, it's straight up neglectful to not do so.
The girl at 9:56, I think got it the worst. She fell on her shoulder and hit her head on the ground. I really hope that she made a full recovery from that😢.
i couldn't pass the 4 min mark, those falls were extremely dangerous and scary. When i saw the title i thought they were going to be small slip ups but couldn't take it anymore. If these were sports matches, some of those falls can be considered career ending. If you have done any sports and fell uncontrollably like that you know what im talking about.
I have broken bones and dislocated joints from falls far less dangerous then the ones i saw in this video. Cant believe these idols are treated this way, you can put a light carpeting on stage under them so they dont fall at least when it rains.....
1:10 If just wait a bit and watch Momo closely you can see Jihyo
hold her arm to help her! Jihyo best leader indeed :)
Dahyun also grabbed her when she stumbled over to her. Our little peach needs help with stage accidents frequently. (One time Nayeon saved her from walking off the stage)
@@ameliarose47 I remember the Nayeon one, saviours indeed
yes!! also in the end of their fancy performance, jeongyeon walked her to her position in order for momo to not trip again
@@chaeluvbot69 twice queens!
bruh the twice stage hurts me a lot ESPCIALLY the fact that a lot of the times it was Jihyo and Momo slipping 😭 they're always so hard on themselves and love to perform to their fullest so I can't imagine how frustrating it must've been
Male idols fall without wearing heel , imagine how difficult it must be wearing those heels and dancing these choreos
1:32 Jihyo trying to wipe the water off her shoes, so smart
I know how it feels to fall like this (figure skating cuz I’m clumsy) and just let me tell you that it hurts, especially falling on your joints makes it hurt pretty bad. falling on your tailbone is just pain, especially if you are jumping. I would say that falling is normal to skaters, but for performances just give them a dry stage it’s not that hard.
4:37 falling in sync is kind of a serve i’ll give them that
4:36 like when u and ur best friend do everything at the same time 💀 even falling down
They even fell in synch indeed
Its so sad that astro was so excited for the dream concert and that happens also FALLING OF UR ASS CHEEKS IS THE WORST 😩🤚
Especially given they don't really have any ....(MEAT ON THEM)
It's not that difficult to build a roof over a concert hall ! It's important to protect the stage from rain for idols' safety as well as fans' ...
Even if they have to keep the performance going I don't see why they can't just perform without dancing when the stage is _this_ dangerous. Like just walking around, singing, interacting with the audience is still fun and entertaining for the crowd. Sure it's not quite the same for a kpop performance but I would rather have them not dance once than get injured and go on hiatus for months.
170325 OH MY GIRL Falls Too :
YooA : 1× Falls
Binnie : 2× Slipped & Flying Soes
Jiho : 1× Slipped
Hyojung : 1× Falls
Arin : 1× Falls
Mimi : 1× Slipped
Can you imagine not only slipping multiple times but these men and women are starving themselves to fit an image so they already aren’t feeling 100% okay.
this has to change AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
HELPP TWICE WAS LITERALLY SKATING
Yeah XD
That is so sad and embarrassing and they just have to keep laughing while being humiliated . I almost cry in their place
雨の日は危険だからダンスパフォーマンスなしで歌だけでもファンは納得すると思う
the fact that nct performed that amazing in the dream 2018 with those jumps and such limited space plus the insane amount of water on the stage was honestly amazing. the handled it like the real idols
they are.
I feel like the bottoms of the idols shoes need to have texture at the bottom so they’ll fall/slip less or do something with the fact the stage is that slippery especially bc some choreographies contain jumps
The thing I hate the most is how they took the time to put covers on the lights but let the idols sit there to preform like they’re nothing compared to a few lights.
FR!! The production team are just crazy injuries can cause way more then lights
they are bound to fall when there is water on the stage
That gfriend clip is so hard to watch🤚🏻😭
7:37 was such a good save omg
I’m convinced companies keep putting idols onto slippery stages just so that they fall and create attention towards the incident and therefore the group. I mean, think of it this way. What other reason would their be for putting your idols onto a slippery stage?
OH MY GIRL 😭🥺
my thing is if they see its raining ahead of time then either cancel the event or try to put the event in an arena that has a retractable roof that can stop these painful falls from happening. That way you don't have to cancel the event and there's low risk of injuries.
If not, wait like 30 minutes for the stage to dry like omg 😭
I honestly don't think that's logistically possible to stop an outside event and put it inside in an arena close to the area like it takes organiziation money and time which usualyl no one has.
And also they shouldn’t only use the mop where the idols are most of the time they should mop the entire stage
7:06 He fell on beat, poor thing. 🥹😭
This is really unacceptable! They need to protect the idols when performing. It’s just downright wrong to have them perform in such dangerous circumstances!
Companies: if you get hurt you still need to perform as if you're not.
Also companies: perform on these very slippery stages in which you might fall and get hurt, but because you signed a contract you still have o perform at 100%
Omg poor sistar I hate how women are made to wear heels all the time especially when it’s slippery 😐
This is not okay because that's too much people that slipping and falling they should know that dancing doing anything in the rain anybody can end up hurt why everybody's agreeing of them dancing in the rain because that's not right how you supposed to keep them safe but you making them do dangerous
-stuff that's messed up
どんだけ管理なってないの!?日本じゃありえない!これでもしアーティストが重大な怪我したら責任取れる!?可哀想すぎる続行させんなよ…
About dream concert, am I the only one who rather see them singing and engaging with the crowd than see them falling on their butts? Like... If I was there, I'd be worried sick about groups safety. I don't think their decision to keep dancing was a smart one. Taemin did well, but he's solo. The others should've taken a safer and fun approach.
Yep, that should've been the solution . Or at least they've should try to dry the stage completely before letting them dance.
@@Espedesther It was raining while they were performing though. The staff would wipe it, but the rain would continue nevertheless. I think both ends were "wrong" about the same thing. Expectations.
At first i couldn't help, but to laugh as that's the typical reaction we have when someone falls, but then i saw one of Gfriend's members holding her ribs walking off stage and i remembered how painful it is to actually fall on a hard surface. Especially because idols are so thin, so their bodies don't have much fat as a barrier for their bones.
This is sooo dangerous! It really breaks my heart to see them get hurt🥲🥺 All the idols are doing strong and sharp movements while doing the choreography and if they slip they can really get injured badly as you can see 💔
I think they should take more care of the safety of the idols. For example by making sure that the stage is NOT wet. Some stages weren't even wet anymore - they were FULL OF WATER!
Oh my poor girls and boys😭
Jihyo wiping her shoes at the bottom like an athlete 👌
Plus, if they let them perform to a wet area / raining situation, they shouldve change their shoes, they shouldve prepared it for worst case scenarios, unless they really want the idols to slip.
I really pity them but i love how they are still continues to dancing even tho theyre really tired and you know its hard to get up when u suddenly slipped or fall your knees like ouch but they're so fast to get up and just continues to dancing and smiling i love how hard working they are
What’s really stupid is, the performers can fall so badly that it could destroy their career.. thats not worth it regardless of the money they lose. If more then a quarter of your team is injured, then they can’t perform and thats hard on these kpop idols since they do so many performances every day
I love how some idols will just get back up like nothing ever happened with a straight face. That always cracks me up when they do that.
It's so unprofessional once they see a k-pop idol fall they just keep mopping the floor, just running across the stage.
👇
I'm happy they got back up when they slipped. They just wanna perform good for their fans and they really did. I'm so proud. They should take care of the slippery stages before the idols go on. It's shameful they don't.
What the hell is the stage made of? It seems like they're dancing on ice. It's painful and sad to look at this. Even a standard buss stop would be safer :/ There is a lot bad things that can happend to them. They are people, not machines. Broken bones, foot, pain. Why can't they just dance on standard wood?
It was so sweet when one of the backup dancers helped one of the girls of Laboum up
some stages for them are practically ice skating rinks
This is now illegal at the the end of 2021 right? Wtf. First, f there organizers. Then f the fans who thinks this is fun. Then F the idols for putting up with such abuse. That's not professionalism at all. That's keep hitting me honey and I'll keep making you a sandwich relationship.
I don't think you should blame the idols for putting up with it bc most of the times, they really don't have a choice.
We have to remember that these idols goes through all of these dangerous stuffs bc of us fans, so we really have to appreciate them more. 🙂
The organisers should do a simple over the top cover for such open air performance. What if something big happen like serious injury or even death?
so it seems they know the stages are wet and unsafe, and not even giving idols (especially female idols) shoes with any grip ?
If yall gonna ask why the other idols are not helping, here's why:
The other members are also performing, the idol that slipped should stand up by themselves. Yes, the other members can help him/her to stand up. But it would feel bad to the other members to stop dancing to help the slipped idol, because they're performing on stage where all those cameras filming.
(This is just my explanation so please don't hate me, feel free to give your opinion in the comments 😊)
And also, they can stand up by themselves. As long as they can still stand up, but if the idol has injury, well the other members can help 😊
you are right but still some stupid fans give them hate for not helping them
@@vivikthapopuri7722 yea i hate those toxic fans
And plus, why would these staffs, company, shows are letting them perform in slippery stage. It's very dangerous, especially for the female idols wearing heels :(
@@sallyarceo5313 i know right when you fall sometimes u forget to put your hands down which causes a lot of hurt to your ribs you cannot breath also I don't understand if they have concerts on rainy days they should at least do some preparation if they cant postpone it
こんなに滑るステージ恐ろしすぎる🥺
it always makes me feel sad when multiple members see another member fall but keep on dancing and smiling like nothing happened. it just feels so calloused, check on the person at the very least if you can't help them up but no performance is more important than the idols
This is seriously dangerous; I hate that the companies and organizers didn't assured everything was dry before the performances.
It’s not just falling like you can sprain your ankle of course respect to staff for trying but maybe companies should consider shoes with soles that stick better with water (Proper dance shoes)
Some even almost face planted. Like that's some serious stuff. Imagine all the bruises 😬
What kills me seeing the GFriend one is the same girl fell over and over and was limping off stage by the end... This poor girl really gave it her all for Buddies, I wish she had slown down a bit to not fall,
Dream concert was hell for idols in 2018.
I clicked on this video thinking that its a comedy video, but they are actually struggling, it was just sad and uncomfortable... We are in 2022 things like these shouldn't be happening
This should be a intro of every blackpink concert
HEY BESTIE I MISS YOU💕💕 & I FEEL SAD SEE IDOL FALLING 😔🤗💕
9:25 they literally tried to sweep the stage but they still fell..
it’s just how they fell could really hurt them and also they never stopped the show when they fell a lot which is unprofessional
I seriously dont understand. How hard it is to cover a stages top. In Turkey, If you dont cover up your stages top during winter season, basicly theres serious problems occur for the organisers, like punishments etc. I mean look at these people. They are basicly dance based performances and theres no cover for rain and the stage floor is not something made against the slips...
Its so painful to watch
The fact that Yuju fell down the most even with a injured knee kills me😢😪
Yes you say right we are same
I love when jihyo did slip in a cool way 😎
When the staff wipe the floor dry when it's raining😭
Like what is that supposed to do??😭😭
When yuju fell and perform that nothing happens that call a strong women
They only way I can describe those stages as an outsider is that it literally looks like they're either dancing on ice or on bowling alleys
I seen kpop boy Holding hands 0:17 on the Left
If i fall i woud be in shame and i woud never stand up ever again
I had to stop watching after seeing the first few clips. My god it's dangerous! The organizers should at least make sure the floor wasn't slippery before the performance. Also, the stylists of those idols should pick shoes with the best sole grips. They should know the basics to avoid accidents!
the idols fell so hard, it looks so painful 💔💔
The way Big Bang fell was pretty cool tbh🤣😅
こういう時にグループの人柄が出る気がするw
P0V: breathing shouldn’t even happen
(Don’t take this seriously)
If this was a Western artist/group they would literally walk off and say "wtf is happening."
The fact these kpop artists think they have to continue to perform so they don't lety anyone down (fans, music companies, sponsors) is terrible. If I saw my favorite idols perfomring in these conditions I'd tell them to get off stage or just sing without dancing.
Taemin mastered it like a boss
They really should have extra precautions for this type of stuff. It honestly disgusts me how even though Idols fall and trip constantly because of this seemingly no one seems to do anything that really helps the problem. Like a roof on that stage would probably do quite a good job keeping the Idols and the stage dry.
I don't know if I am the only one who is laughing and feeling the pain inside 🥲🥲🥲🥲
I was thinking like what if maybe the Stilist Put something down on their shoe so that they slip and fall??Or they extra made the stage slippery 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
These idols were so professional, If I was them, I'm suing everyone that involve in that event, that fall can cause them serious injury.
why do people make the stage slippery? Because just imagine performing and you fell off the stage due to that. That would be embarrassing for me
Some stages are slippery naturally (maybe because it's been cleaned recently), sometimes it's the idols shoes, and most of the times it's bc they make the idols perform in the rain or directly after rain.
Why are they having them dance on stage that is slippery they could had slip off stage lucky noun them got hurt bad. Seriously they slipping fallen bad why they not check stage before anyone get on it. That a safe hazard
It’s so hard when you mess up in a show because like it’s hot in the clothes, people are watching, hair is in your face, sometimes your eye might hurt, you keep dancing even if you are In exhaustion and slipping in the stage is one of them now. It’s so frustrating and exhausting
Is it just me or when Oh My Girl performs the song Me gusta gu they start slipping?
GFriend sang Me Gustas Tu
@@KayleighNatasha oh sorry!
I feel so bad for them. That is so unsafe and no one stop the show. Safety should be the number one on the list.
