honestly the custom keyboard era is currently so good right with all the features and low prices, but ive been in this hobby quite sometime. I have started to dive into ergo split keyboards and JLC PCBs. Im surprised that not many people create their own keyboard, but i also understand that making those keyboards are very difficult(soldering micro controllers, flashing firmware, soldering oled screens). i know its difficult but I love the customisation(knobs, scroll wheels, track pads). You should try it, its like 30 sgd for a sofle kit on taobao( not including case or plate but you can get it 3d printed)
I think it's because they knew the market is big enough and the demand is big enough that they aren't afraid to produce huge batches to press the price down while maintaining the same quality.
i actually doubt so... i wouldnt say the demand is that much bigger then it used to be, and even if it is the extremely competitive market we are in right now will make the companies even more weary of creating bigger batches

I've had my Bridge75 HE for a week now and I have no complaints whatsoever. If I really had to nitpick, I'd say the software is the least appealing aspect, since it's pretty much standard with no special features (DKS and MT is still there though) and a limitation of only having 1 non-switchable actuation profile. But I guess Wooting has set the bar so high for the software side of HE keyboards that it's a little unrealistic to expect other brands to be able to match or exceed them, especially at this budget segment.

So, one thing to keep in mind. Wobkey's responsiveness on their support has really been lacking. I've lost 2 of the gaskets (they do not stay in their catch very well and they're really bouncy) and I need replacements (none were provided to me with the kit). I reached out to them through their website and eventually through Discord. I have *never* gotten a response through Discord and I got a response through email telling me that there wiol be a link on the webpage to buy replacements. This never happened, it's been over a week and no change... It seems that a couple should've been provided in the first place (like with most of the dumb bell gasket mount keyboards I have received) and the fact that i cannot even seem to PAY them for replacements has we worried. Combined with the fact that i have heard of people who are STILL waiting on the KS boards and I think you're probably best to look elsewhere.

I think my main issue with Monsgeek is that they've been in the budget keyboard scene a lot longer than the likes of Bridge75 or Rainy75, yet they haven't managed to make major improvements to their design and innovation in the last 2 years. It's been the same boxy, angular case design with gold side accents ever since they introduced their first keyboard. They've managed to keep manufacturing costs low by having the same template, resulting in super low prices. Unfortunately, since other brands are starting to find ways to either match or beat them in the budget segment, their offerings just seem super outdated in comparison.

it shouldn't be considered budget tbh, with any of the addons plus shipping etc, it is more between 200-300$ and is much more expensive than any of these other options listed even at base kit
Hi Louis! I’m trying to build a 75% keyboard currently and I’m looking for a kit to buy (preferably with gasket mount because I like the sound.) bc you are the only keeb RUclipsr I actually trust, I’m asking you if u have a recommendation for a good 75% keyboard kit
It depends on the features and stuff you're looking for. I like it and I would give it a decent 7.5/10. The non-magnetic connector for the screen, which is a detriment to the ball/catch implementation and a let down, but not an unexpected one. But it *does have* a ball/catch system, which is not and a magnetic connector for the PCB itself. The sound is pretty on point for this era of 100-ish dollar budget keyboards. I have not tried the Bridge75, but I have the Rainy75, the ND75, the Galaxy80, and a M1W (v2) and I have to say that the screen is nice, but a little dim and I, like everyone, wish that it were QMK/VIA or ZMK compatible. But I like the ND75 and would probably choose it over the Rainy75.
Short key studio also has been updating firmwares, etc to make it better. They also reply to all emails and are generally very good. The people behind the rainy 75, wobkey, should be stayed away from like the plague.
Hey Lewis! What are your thoughts on the Monsgeek M1 V3? Do you think it can compete with these budget keyboards? Nice video, by the way! I hope you make a video about the Monsgeek M1 V3.
You should check out the Epomaker TH80 Pro V2 black version with wisteria switches. It's not full aluminum but the sound is better than all of these imo
Hey! Since you like 75% keyboards, how do you feel about the Monsgeek M1 V3? Should I get it or a Keychron Q2, if they were the same price? They seem so similar that I am getting analysis paralysis. Please help :D Oh and to be more precise, both would be barebone sets. I am a ISO Nordic user and many of these budget keyboards are only ANSI and thus sadge...
I have Keychron K6 cause I need the multi devices switch and wireless feature but the battery is degrading already. Which budget keyboards would you recommend to try out that has similar features, 65 or 75% type?
I see what you mean but these keyboards never cost 99$ for the most of the people. Outside US it is always a 50$ difference including shipping&import fees. I always think "Oh, this might be the one that is budget friendly" and it costs 50$ more in the cart, always.
Hi, I would like to ask more details about comparison Rainy and Bridge - for me it is not clear Is lower rancing of rainy was just only to bad screws and easier dissasembly of bridge, or there are another reasons? I mean build quality, type feel, maybe gasket performance. I`m asking because I`m thinking of bridge 75, right now I got rainy, but the only complain from my side right now is not the best flex of keyboard, but maybe you noticed more differences between them
yo so im kinda new to the keybaord world i have a k552 red dragon with red switches and i want to get a new keyboard i care about sounds so i want a clacky/thocky sound also i care about the looks/Aesthetics a good example is rainy75 it has good colors and nice theme also a note is i want 75% keyboard basically a keyboard ill use for everything budget is around 99$ to 120$ what do yall recommend?
I am thinking to buy Nuphy Gem80, because has something different asthetic...in this budget price, around 180$ with different looks, which one can you recommend me?
Hey man do you know any websites that ships to msia to get the rainy75 keyboard from?? Mecha is way too expensive its almost double the price in ringgit :(
For me budget is around 50-60 dollars, I think a price like this is a mid tier, but i guess for enthusiast as begginers 99 is a nice entry and is considered budget
the problem is that prebuilt is not a custom; these boards are not the best for customizing typing feel and sound over the stock configuration. I mean, if you remove foam from these $99 kits the result will be pingy, the flexcuts pcb will ruin the experience and make the keyboard bottoming out and other stuff like that. I would recommend these for the people who don't want to spend time on the keyboard hobby and just want a fine keyboard that is worth for the price

Hello dear author. I see you are an expert in keyboards. Let me ask you for advice. For you to choose from Rainy75, Leobog Hi8se, Womier SK75, Bridge75, ND75 Keyboard Assembled Edition. Thank you very much! :)
Calling this budget when anything higher is just complete scams. The fact that you can get the same quality for $100 over $300 - $1000 keyboards is insane and shows how stupid people are with their spending
0:23 "Having all the main features everybody would want" Lmao what features ? No volume control wheel/knob, no numpad*, no extra keys*, no USB hub, no wrist rest, I bet also no macro editor. Those "features" you named aren't features, it's simply "build quality".
Am i the only one who thinks that zoom shouldn't be in the budget category with these other boards? when you actually buy it it's easily at least 200+, this should be at the lower end of mid end keyboards not "budget"
also compared to all these other keyboards, the zoom is only available via groupbuy and then you need to wait months, compared to these other boards that are more in-stock

Hi Louis! I’m trying to build a 75% keyboard currently and I’m looking for a kit to buy (preferably with gasket mount because I like the sound.) bc you are the only keeb RUclipsr I actually trust, I’m asking you if u have a recommendation for a good 75% keyboard kit
Can you review some low profile keyboards please! Lofree, coolkiller, and nuphy keyboards
Thank you for the reviews! Does anyone know any good budget TKLS as the TKD Cycle 8 (Group buy) is sold out in the US.
Neo80 and tb8

What would you rate the ND75 1-10/10?
cant say much since i havent really tried it yet, will be doing a review in the next few weeks though
@@ChrisJames024 thank you for the detailed reply
my keychron v1 looking real dusty as of late
Short key studio also has been updating firmwares, etc to make it better. They also reply to all emails and are generally very good. The people behind the rainy 75, wobkey, should be stayed away from like the plague.
How about gx87 and crush80?
havent tried it
Does the Bridge75 sound much different from the Rainy75? Thank you!
Does the bridge75 sound better than the rainy? Like thockier
Thanks for your content! May I kindly ask, Whats a decent TKL kit with a screen if possible? thank you.
Have you tried the GMK61?
I have Keychron K6 cause I need the multi devices switch and wireless feature but the battery is degrading already. Which budget keyboards would you recommend to try out that has similar features, 65 or 75% type?
I see what you mean but these keyboards never cost 99$ for the most of the people. Outside US it is always a 50$ difference including shipping&import fees. I always think "Oh, this might be the one that is budget friendly" and it costs 50$ more in the cart, always.
What's ur opinion on the Nuphy Halo75?
Hi, I would like to ask more details about comparison Rainy and Bridge - for me it is not clear Is lower rancing of rainy was just only to bad screws and easier dissasembly of bridge, or there are another reasons? I mean build quality, type feel, maybe gasket performance. I`m asking because I`m thinking of bridge 75, right now I got rainy, but the only complain from my side right now is not the best flex of keyboard, but maybe you noticed more differences between them
Monsgeek m1w v3 👍👍💰
yo so im kinda new to the keybaord world
i have a k552 red dragon with red switches and i want to get a new keyboard
i care about sounds so i want a clacky/thocky sound

Hello! Bridge75 HE does not have RGB?
I am thinking to buy Nuphy Gem80, because has something different asthetic...in this budget price, around 180$ with different looks, which one can you recommend me?
Hey man do you know any websites that ships to msia to get the rainy75 keyboard from?? Mecha is way too expensive its almost double the price in ringgit :(
womier sk65 lucky: "hold my beer"
For me budget is around 50-60 dollars, I think a price like this is a mid tier, but i guess for enthusiast as begginers 99 is a nice entry and is considered budget
Whats the best for gaming?
Wat is the lehboard from 1:59 to 2:4
Can u do a review of Ajazz ak870 pls
I wish the list had royal kludge r75. Now I will never know if its good or not. 😢
the problem is that prebuilt is not a custom; these boards are not the best for customizing typing feel and sound over the stock configuration. I mean, if you remove foam from these $99 kits the result will be pingy, the flexcuts pcb will ruin the experience and make the keyboard bottoming out and other stuff like that.
I would recommend these for the people who don't want to spend time on the keyboard hobby and just want a fine keyboard that is worth for the price
so what do you recommend?
@esvuil it depends on what you are searching when you decide to buy a new keyboard, as I said. (Why are you replying a 3m old comment XD)
@@zucanioim looking for a keyboard rn that i can customize like you said, and since these arent that good for that, i just wanted to know if you had any good ones in mind

BRO 180 dollars is not budget😭😭
i just got my SK75 over the Rainy75 cause of their availability and price point. it feels amazing coming from a Corsair K65+ lol. just gotta figure out why VIA isn't detecting my keeb and it could become my daily driver
Lots of complains in flaws in China about cycle 8, comments mostly says it felt cheap the weight and board felt like a scam, and I tried group buying in ilmukb and it cost 335 sgd. for this price range I’ll rather get zoom 75 or keychron which is highly rated generally
Every like this comment gets, i will literally do nothing
Now your talking my language
What about Aula F75 compared to these keyboards? Anyone have any idea?
amazing
u r amazing
Aula F99 for $60 or less. Hands down. Cannot be beat
hmmm
(Note to self - keyboard to consider)
Womier for 100 dlr or bridge for 156 dlr?
Would you say Bridge75 (125€) or Bridge75 plus (138€) is worth the extra money over the sk75 (106€)?
wild
crazy
I’m trying to find a aluminum keyboard kit with a knob with no flaws 75% can someone help me?
Wouldn’t a plastic keyboard be better for deep thock?
Hello dear author. I see you are an expert in keyboards. Let me ask you for advice. For you to choose from Rainy75, Leobog Hi8se, Womier SK75, Bridge75, ND75 Keyboard Assembled Edition. Thank you very much! :)
early as hell, nice vid tho
thanks man
@@LewisToh damn i didnt expect you to respond, thank you tho🙏🙏

Man how to order bridge75 to Poland :(
Calling this budget when anything higher is just complete scams. The fact that you can get the same quality for $100 over $300 - $1000 keyboards is insane and shows how stupid people are with their spending
where is the neo...
0:23 "Having all the main features everybody would want"
Lmao what features ? No volume control wheel/knob, no numpad*, no extra keys*, no USB hub, no wrist rest, I bet also no macro editor. Those "features" you named aren't features, it's simply "build quality".
Am i the only one who thinks that zoom shouldn't be in the budget category with these other boards? when you actually buy it it's easily at least 200+, this should be at the lower end of mid end keyboards not "budget"
also compared to all these other keyboards, the zoom is only available via groupbuy and then you need to wait months, compared to these other boards that are more in-stock
