    Memory wire shears are the best cutters to use. Great video; thanks!

      Definitely!! Especially if you really get into making memory wire bracelets. They cut the hard wire so easily and don't wreck your jewelry cutters.
      Thanks for sharing!

    Simple and easy. Love these and am looking forward to making my own. Could you please tell me what size the crimp beads are and what size wire they crimp best on? Thank you.

    • @TheONeilSisters
      @TheONeilSisters  4 года назад

      Thanks Johnna! We used size #1 crimp beads. They have a 1.3mm inner diameter, which is equivalent to 16-gauge wire. But in order for them to have room to crimp, they should be used on wire a little smaller than their inner diameter, so that would be 18-gauge or smaller. (The higher the wire gauge number, the thinner the wire.) Here's a link to the kind we used: amzn.to/2Cti5E3 This size worked just fine on our memory wire. We have the written instructions with materials list for this project on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/delicate-beaded-bangles/

    Thats the best explanation of making those rotten little loops Ive seen. I nearly had a nervous breakdown a year ago trying to figure them out. So thanks for that. Only remaining little problem is that when I had to open each loop to slip the wire band through, I cant get them closed again as the wire keeps popping out etc. Any brilliant ideas ???. Great video. Sadly, Alex & Ani style bracelets dont seem to have taken off here in Australia. I was sure they would, but ....no.

      Thanks Lindy! Sorry your wire is popping out! With memory wire, sometimes it takes brute force! Can you curl the loop a little more so it overlaps the wire? Hope that helps!

      Hi, I tried that. Also that expandable part doesnt look even, one side seems to overlap the other. Is it supposed to look like an even long thin rectangle or does it overlap ???. T.I.A.

    • @TheONeilSisters
      @TheONeilSisters  6 лет назад

      Hi Lindy! When you open the loops to put the bracelet wire through, don't really bend the loops open. More like hold them open just long enough to jostle the wire into the loop. And yes, the expandable part makes a rectangle when you look down on it. But don't worry if it's not perfect. You won't notice it when wearing it.
      Let us know how it goes!

      thanks so much. I must be doing something wrong as the "rectangle" seems to cross over/twist a bit. I will keep working on it. Thanks for all your help. Love your videos.

    If I need to adjust it for a larger wrist, how would I do that?

    • @TheONeilSisters
      @TheONeilSisters  2 года назад

      You would want to start with a larger size memory wire bracelet. These are 65mm across.

    Where do you get the gold wire?

    • @TheONeilSisters
      @TheONeilSisters  6 лет назад

      The wire is called "Memory Wire" and we got it at Michael's. You can get it at most craft stores that have jewelry supplies, local bead shops, or online. Here's a link to show you what it looks like: amzn.to/2xhTMDe
      Hope that helps!

    Are you supposed to reclose the loops? Sorry if that sounds silly but I didn't see you do it.

    • @TheONeilSisters
      @TheONeilSisters  6 лет назад +1

      Great question, Debbie. Yes, close the loops. We really didn't open them much. We just pulled them open long enough to slide the wire in and then the loops snapped back to their shape.

    So couldn't you do one side with a loop and bend, and feed the other side through and then do that side? I don't know if I am explaining this well, but it seems like it should be easier.

      @TheONeilSisters  4 года назад
