I used to live by the Oswego speedway. Went to a few races. It was like stepping back in time to the 70s being there. Can of Busch was 2 bucks in 2015. Can’t believe this track is on iracing.
pit stop time added is only if you aren't taking fuel or tires that take less time than the adjustments. they adjust simultaneously during the pit stop
Ive bought both gt3 's and they feel and sound excellent. The tracks also feel exceptional polished , ive just installed some aurasounds and the kerbfeel is second to non , especially when coupled with vr
Oswego Speedway is a local track for me. iRacing has captured it really well and I’m really enjoying it. Now they just need to bring the ISMA supermodifieds that run there to the service. These cars are absolutely INSANE - the F1 cars of asphalt short track ovals. I also can’t wait for them to release the dirt version of the track.
hi Dave.. the time added for wing and RB changes are not added after the pit stip but are done during the pitstop. I believe the wing during refueling and the RB during wheel change.. so for endurance it almost costs noting. RW is about 10 secondes as also RB i believe :) i could be wrong but thats what i heard :)

One thing they didn't hardly talk about is they have FINALLY fixed the tires on the TCRs. They are not so hard to bring to temp and they actually slow down over a stint. I think they might have just reverted to 2 or 3 years ago.
Tested Navarra, felt great for any class, not just GT4 or something, it's a FIA Grade 2 track with lots of space, nice sections, good runoff. Sachsenring is definitely the more thrilling ride though.
I do not know if you ever run any of the Open sessions for the Craftsman Trucks, Xfinity or Gen 7. If you do run the trucks in Open setup sessions the change they made to that is Huge, took me about 15 min to grasp the new concept as far as front springs/Geometry, getting used to the way it handles took 2-3 Times longer. Very happy with them updating to how the trucks are setup IRL.

I was never a Ford guy but I now love this Mustang especially the sound and it also felt great to me! I actually found I was better with it than the Vet @ Spa.
It's a misconception about the racecars front engines.. while yes they ARE front engine, however the engine is as far back as possible to garner better weight distribution close to 50/50 with the transmission in the rear of the cars.
You mentioned the sound. My Ford RS has active sound dampening through the speakers. It sounds better from the outside than in. Does your Mustang have this?
I have only ran the BMW M4 GT3 but when I heard the Z06 was to be released I knew I was about to jump ship. Then BMW unveiled the M4 GT3 Evo at the Ring 24 so now it looks like I will be forced to retire the current M4 version in the future anyways.
Looking forward to the Corvette. I have always loved Corvettes and since I probably never own one in real life, this will be the closest I will get to it!

The Sachsenrimg hosts dtm currently, so also some car racing (also ADAC GT Masters I think). And the corvette (at least irl) doesn’t sound quite as good as the mustang because it’s not a crossplane engine as far as I know. Great video also, looking forward to the special events with the new cars.
It really is a great build. I like the Mustang the best too. I actually prefer the handling of the Mustang over the Vette even if the Vette does have a better overall balance. That sound too. My god the sound....

I still wish the C8 would go cross-plane crank. The American V8 rumble is a much cooler and more distinct sound for the car and helps it stand out from being just another screamy MR supercar.
Have been waiting for the Mustang and it so much fun to drive. Got the Vette as well and drove it just because I had it. OMG so easy to drive and rapid. Great newcomers car but see how much the kill it next update.

nice one Dave, i tried both cars yesterday i think they are both really good in different ways, ill probably drive the corvette more but i liked both and real hard to make a choice for leagues that i have to pick 1 car and stick with it, i wrote mostly cause mustang sound amazing true , but the corvette sound ... ithink it sound just like my motor bike when wide open throttle :P so ithoought it was a v6 for that, anyways , cheers
Are the coach Dave setups out of date for the Porsche cup car for this new season? The setups keep failing tech inspection for me stating the setup is “too low”
Id so like iRacing to be more affordable to up and coming drivers who want to try it out, and not be so restricted on first outing. Monthly sub, plus car and track costs really start get pricey, if you want to get into it. Obviously there is a reason for this expense, it's a pro platform. In saying that, I think the ideal game, would include graphics from Grand Turismo, with the best sound coming from Automobilista, and physics being a split between the 2, and maybe AssestoCorsa. Now I have to work out what wheel I want to upgrade to .... PS, are you full time RUclips, or have a offline job as well?
Yeah screw that Slobra GT3. The Vette is very nice. But I guess the baseline setup must be better than the fixed if you found nothing to complain about, because it has horrid snap oversteer, especially on braking unless you turn the bias up literally to 58. I spin very easily otherwise. But, apart from that, it's amazing, so I plan to tweak that out of it once open setup races come back. It'll probably replace the Ferrari for me.
@@davecamyt Then you have a very different driving style from me. The snap oversteer is so bad that if you let off throttle with any steering lock at all, unless you're on a cambered piece of track, the rear steps out pretty hard. That's not even considering what happens when you're trail braking. If the bias isn't set ridiculously high, it's way worse.
The Mustang sounds like a 4 year old making motor sounds! Ooooooph... the Vette sounds like the engine sound is coming from Mustang boys 2 year old brother!.

my problem with the mustang is the horrid view. Im on single screen so i dont have much view to begin with and the mustangs view is so small compared to other GT3s

Unfortunately Iracing is american and they have weird and bad taste about racing. Too many "Nascar" cars and Oval tracks. I wish Automobilista 2 has a good multiplayer system. I'm pretty sure most of the people around the world, except americans would pick Automobilista 2. Iracing needs a competition.
I’m not the biggest fan of iracing but it contains literally the largest collection of road racing content ever compiled into one location. Not sure what u r on about. Im assuming you have never touched Iracing with a statement like that.

Just take a look how many Nascar and those stupids american cars. Not enough classic European cars nor Formula 1. They have Williams and Mclaren for F1 for example and none online lobby for those cars.

I think they updated them to the GTP/LMP2/GT3 spec. The release notes for TCR are basically identical to when they released that tire model.

I bought the Mustang GT3 and I'm pretty impressed with it so far. I mainly do Formula cars, but plan on doing more Sports car this next season.

The Mustang is a handful to drive but man is it fun! I think on same track I found myself around 6 tenths faster in the corvette.

Corvette's weakness is slow tight corners. it doesn't want to turn. just plows the frt end through.

I ran the iRacing fixed set and found it to be solid 👍

I agree that the Corvette is better, it's stupidly easy to drive. But the mustang is a lot more fun.
The street stock problem is those cars are all exact to the free model physics wise. Not really worth it imo.
